The research starts based on the case Lendas de Ex?, a judicial case which took place at Pedro Adami Municipal School, in C?rrego do Ouro, in the mountain region of Maca?, Rio de Janeiro. The methodology chosen was the qualitative one, from the study of this judicial process ? addressed as a meaningful sampling of the tensions between Christians and the curricular demands of law 10.639/03 ?, we intend, through the concept of reproduction by Pierre Bourdieu, to diagnose the recurrences of racial prejudice patterns through religious intolerance, in a context in which the politicization of the black identity is conjuncturally unidimensionalized by biases of ethnicization focused on afro-religious identity references that dispute the school curriculum as a place of right of cultural and political expression of Afrodescendence and social dignity. Once this critical-diagnostic stage has been accomplished, we intend to organize themed topics as a glossary that helps the basic education teacher deal with the curricular effects of the change brought by law 10.639/03. The purpose of this research is the creation of the critical guide for pedagogical support to teachers of the second segment of basic education, which allows the approach of Afro-Brazilian religions in classroom. The choice of the critical guide is based on the empirical finding of the obstacles found in school and the need for didactic material that ease such approach. The body of this research itself will become the critical guide, complemented by a glossary of recurring terms in conflict situations involving disputes between Christians and Afro-Brazilian religions. The hypothesis of this research is that the teaching of history, culture and Afro-Brazilian religions in schools has been hampered both by the Christian fundamentalism in neo- pentecostal version and the one-dimensional essentialist ethnicization of the black identity in Brazil by the bias of afro-religiosity, which has given the tone of the contemporary agenda of policies of political and institutional visibility of the black movement, creating a smokescreen over the singularity and multidimensional complexity of the History of Black people and Racism in Brazil itself, which also composes the critical focus of the potential curricular effects of law 10.639/03. Thus, it will be important that a guide aimed at teachers of public basic education in Rio de Janeiro includes a study of possibilities of law 10.639/03 beyond the two-dimensional approach which limits its practical effects as a result of the tension ?neo- pentecostalism? vs. ?afro-religiosity?, because what is at issue is a historic and ethnical- citizen learning that goes beyond cohabitation or silencing imposed by the force of law.

No. of bitstreams: 1 edilenemqa-tese.pdf: 4986958 bytes, checksum: 98721b3ed915b46fe60ca445665ea3ca (MD5) Previous issue date: 2016-09-26 / Metabolic syndrome (MS) is a complex disorder with a strong genetic basis and multifactorial etiology. Insulin resistance (IR) causes MS and it can be triggered by intestinal inflammation like the use of lactose in patients intolerant of this carbohydrate. It was found that variants in the lactase gene are associated with lactase non persistence LNP and MS in a population sample of Salvador/Bahia; and whether these variants are modifying the response to diet-therapeutic intervention in patients with this syndrome; also compared the biochemical test of lactose tolerance (LTT) with genetic diagnosis; and tested the association of mutations in the lactase gene with cofactors SM (TGL, HDL-C, blood pressure, glucose levels, waist circumference), with anthropometric variables (Arm Circumference, Body Mass Index, Hip Circumference, hip-waist ratio, lean massand fat mass percentages) and other factors associated with MS: insulin, total cholesterol, LDL-C, VLDL-C, C-reactive protein, HOMA-IR, renal function (creatinine, urea, uric acid, microalbuminuria) and vitamin D. There were two studies: a case-control with 257 cases (MS) and 210 controls and other clinical trial study, which was conducted with three types of diet in patients with metabolic syndrome: diet 1 - No lactose; Diet 2 - Lactose and energy restriction; Diet 3 - Only energy restriction. In all groups were also evaluated for nine SNPs in the lactase (LCT) gene. The genotyping of SNPs was carried out by TaqMan assays. Data were analyzed using SPSS, 20.0, and the Hardy-Weinberg Equilibriumhaplotype frequencies were calculated using Arlequin, 2000 program. The results showed that all diets improve several MSaspects after two months of intervention, especially in the diet 1, that also decreased inflammation, insulin resistance and dyslipidemia (LDL-C). In addition,it was the diet that most took out patients of the MS: 2.72 times more likely to get out of MS than diet 3. LNP was high in both cases and controls. There was compatibility between clinical diagnosis for LNP by Lactose Tolerance Test and two of the studied SNPs, they were rs4988253 and rs182549, those that have proved functional studies. Thus, it is suggested the analysis of LCT gene polymorphisms before the nutritional therapeutics for patients with MS, as well as to take out the lactose in their diet.

It can also be read in an allegorical way as an angry denunciation on the part of the author against the generalized repression that was felt in Brazil after the military coup, in 1964. That is due to the existent similarities between the systems once both, the Inquisition and the Dictatorship, represent an extremely hegemonic, authoritarian and centralizing power. This way, this study aims to analyze in which ways the judgement and condemnation of Branca Dias happened due to religious intolerance and also to the intolerance to thought alterity, as well as to verify in what way that intolerance is established against those who, somehow, are opposed to the pre-established systems. Although it is a play, the text in question will be analyzed as literature, giving the main focus to the words, to the literary narrative. Also the philosophical and historical approach of the treated subjects should be done in order to contextualize and emerge the necessary elements for the good understanding of the text. The methodology used has as main resource the bibliographical research of the theoretical and informative bases, and also of researchers and historians of the approached themes, which will give the necessary support for the analysis of the dramatic play O Santo Inqu?rito (The Holy Inquiry) inside the proposed requirements.
