Řízení pohybu rotačního inverzního kyvadla / Control of a rotational inverted pendulum

The goal of this work is modelling and design of an inverted pendulum prototype. The work presents a mathematical model of a rotary pendulum, modelling of a BLDC motors and also a 3D model of the pendulum prototype is present. The work mentions design of the state space controller and swing up control of the inverted pendulum. Dynamics obtained from the mathematical model is used to create a 3D dynamic model of a pendulum, with the use of the Simscape toolbox. The work deals with control of a BLDC motors with use of vector control. The algorithm is implemented on the CompactRIO platform. Later, hardware is developed, containing STMicroelectronis microcontroller, capable of replacing the CompactRIO platform.

This thesis covers design and practical realization of a tool for quick search in large image databases, containing from tens to hundreds of thousands photos, based on image similarity. The proposed technique uses various methods of descriptor extraction, creation of Bag of Words dictionaries and methods of storing image data in PostgreSQL database. Further, experiments with the implemented software were carried out to evaluate the search time effectivity and scaling possibilities of the design solution.

Smart Search Engine : A Design and Test of Intelligent Search of News with Classification

Background Google, Bing, and Baidu are the most commonly used search engines in the world. They also have some problems. For example, when searching for Jaguar, most of the search  results are cars, not animals. This is the problem of polysemy. Search engines always provide the most popular but not the most correct results. Aim We want to design and implement a search function and explore whether the method of classified news can improve the precision of users searching for news. Method In this research, we collect data by using a web crawler. We use a web crawler to crawl    the data of news in BBC news. Then we use NLTK, inverted index to do data pre-processing, and use BM25 to do data processing. Results Compare to the normal search function, our  function has a lower recall rate and a higher precision. Conclusions This search function can improve the precision when people search for news. Implications This search function can be used not only to search news but to search everything. It has a great future in search engines. It can be combined with machine learning to analyze users' search habits to search and classify more accurately.

Organic solar cells (OSCs) have been making headway in the last decade due to their cost-effectiveness and potential application in flexible devices. One of the disadvantages of OSCs is the short lifetime of the charge carriers, where the various interfaces that are present in the material play a significant role. In the inverted organic solar cell (IOSC), electrons are injected into the transparent conducting oxide, whereby the electrode alignment is reversed compared to the conventional structure. Nanosized zinc oxide (ZnO) thin-films with nanoridges/ripples embedded on the surface of the thin-film can be used as an electron transport/hole-blocking layers in inverted organic solar cells to enhance light-capturing by the active layer of the solar cell.

The regional test of relationship between economic growth and CO2 emissions : --Evidence from Chinese provinces

This thesis has investigated the validity of the Environmental Kuznets Curve in the provinces of China which assumes the increase in GDP per capita (income per capita) would generate the raise of CO2 emissions (pollution) until a turning point in which CO2 emissions start decreasing. The study includes 30 provinces over a period spanning from 2000 to 2019 by applying OLS and Fixed-effects regression model with panel data. The findings demonstrate that the provinces of China conform to the EKC theory's projections by exhibiting an inverted-U shape. Apart from that, this study also confirmed the presence of differences in turning points between provinces with high income and those with low income, and the former exhibiting a significantly higher value. Our research findings suggest that policymakers should tailor their CO2 emission reduction policies to the specific circumstances of each region. In the absence of appropriate measures, a negative outcome may arise.

Control theory can be used to make an unstable system stable. This thesis seeks to do this, where the system is a two DOF inverted pendulum with reaction wheels for stabilisation. The thesis also seeks to answer what is most important for making it stabilize for a longer period of time. It was decided that a state space controller was to be used with various sensors measuring the states. To be able to design a functioning demonstrator, a mathematical model of the system dynamics was developed. In the end the demonstrator proved to function as desired, being able to balance indefinitely. It was found that it is absolutely necessary to either give the controller a perfect set point or to implement an automatic set point. / Reglerteknik kan användas för att göra ostabila system stabila. Målet med detta projekt var att göra detta med ett system i form av en inverterad pendel med två frihetsgrader som balanseras med hjälp av två svänghjul. Projektet söker att besvara frågan om vad som är de viktigaste faktorerna för att få systemet att vara stabilt över en längre tid. En tillståndsåterkoppling användes som regulator vilket innebar att flera olika sensorer behövdes för att mäta de olika tillstånden. För att kunna konstruera en fungerande prototyp utvecklades en matematisk modell av systemet vilken användes för simulering av systemet. Till slut konstruerades en fungerade prototyp som till synes kunde balansera över oöverskådlig tid. En av de faktorer som visade sig påverka huruvida systemet uppnår stabilitet över längre tid var hur bra referenspunkt som gavs till regulatorn, det vill säga det tillstånd som regulatorn reglerar systemet mot. Det visade sig vara möjligt att implementera en självjusterande referenspunkt som gjorde systemet stabilt över tid.
