Front to the parameters social and psicomotors, representative aged in the category was structuralized a study of descriptive case the 70-74 years, participant of competitions of Iron Man in the South American, by means of a sampling proposed. The following materials had been used: a) Postural examination fiche of the postures of Miranda (2003); b) Psicomotor examination with Motor Escala for Elderly of Rosa Neto (2002); c) Interview half-structuralized for psicomotor and social profile: it motivates, it stress, clinical history, sportive and socio-economical; d) Formulary of the activities of the life day. The results had disclosed a position inclining of front, with diverse postures shunting lines, a high general motors levels of 120 points, motivated to train and to compete, as much in level conscientious, how much unconscious, as well as it presents a stress and agitated profile. / O objetivo deste estudo foi descrever os parâmetros psicomotores e sociais de um idoso triatleta competidor de provas de Iron Man . Foi estruturado um estudo de caso descritivo frente aos parâmetros psicomotores e sociais do único representante idoso na categoria 70 a 74 anos, participante de competições de Iron Man na América do Sul, mediante uma amostragem de conveniência. Foram utilizados os seguintes materiais: a) Exame postural ficha de anotação dos dados posturais de Miranda (2003); b) Exame psicomotor com a Escala Motora para Terceira Idade (EMTI) de Rosa Neto (2002); c) Entrevista semi-estruturada para perfil psicomotor e social: motivação; estresse, história clínica, esportiva e sócio-econômica; d) Inventário das atividades da vida diária. Os resultados revelaram uma postura anteriorizada, com diversos desvios posturais, uma aptidão motora geral superior de 120 pontos, motivado para treinar e competir, tanto no nível consciente, quanto inconsciente, assim como apresenta um perfil estressado e agitado.

Captain America and Iron Man are both iconic American heroes, representing different American values. Captain America was created during the Golden Age of comics and represents a longing for the past, while Iron Man was created at the height of the Cold War and looks forward to a new America. This paper will first establish the historical and cultural relationship between comic books and propaganda, beginning with the first appearance of Superman. It will pay special attention to the similarities and differences of Captain America and Iron Man, focusing on their representation of American values over time, and discuss how that aspect of the characters affects their ongoing titles today.

Uppsatsens huvudsakliga syfte är att undersöka hur amerikansk nationell identitet förmedlas i populära filmer. Undersökningen sker genom att analysera tre av de populäraste karaktärerna i de fyra Avengers-filmerna. Karaktärerna som ska analyseras är Iron Man, Captain America och Thor. Benedict Andersons undersökning av hur nationell identitet och nationalism sprids med hjälp av litteratur är förutsättningen för uppsatsen. Utgångspunkten är att populärkultur påverkar tittaren och kan sprida idéer som har verkliga effekter i samhället. I analysen tar effekterna av terrorattacken mot World Trade Center en viktig plats och hur den påverkar uppfattningen av amerikansk nationell identitet i Marvel-filmer narrativt och visuellt. Innan 9/11 var amerikansk nationell identitet stark kopplad till triumfalism och exceptionalism. Trots att terrorattacken påverkar gestaltningen av amerikansk nationell identitet i popkultur så förblir Amerikansk triumfalism och exceptionalism en grundläggande del av amerikansk identitet. Samtidigt undersöks den paradoxala relationen mellan individualism och kollektivism. En gestaltning av gemenskap och individualism präglar filmerna där även regissörers påverkan kan spela roll i det hyperindustrialiserade Marvel-maskineriet.

L'objectif de cette thèse est de montrer le déclin de la figure du superhéros dans les films américains après le 11 Septembre. Les films de superhéros n?ont jamais été si nombreux. Jamais le moral du superhéros n'a été si bas. Ce paradoxe trouve sa meilleure illustration dans l'image double de Batman relégué au ras du sol, alors que le symbole commercial de la chauve-souris brille au firmament de Gotham City. La marchandise culturelle transcenderait donc un superhéros considérablement amoindri. Ce travail se concentre sur trois domaines en particulier : la perte de masculinité du superhéros à la fin du siècle dernier, qui amène à une confrontation symbolique entre le quarterback et la majorette, ou entre Superman et un hypothétique Everyman, et la réémergence d'un monomythe réactionnaire après 2005 ; les errances d'un Surmoi freudien affaibli, et sa relation fluctuante avec un Ça très séduisant, incarné par le superméchant du vingt-et-unième siècle ; la toile de fond sociopolitique contemporaine hostile aux exploits du superhéros, pour qui l'isothymie fukuyamienne omniprésente constitue une injuste condamnation de son action salvatrice. Icône d'une démocratie libérale qui règne désormais sur notre planète, le superhéros postmoderne semble singulièrement désadapté à la culture qui l'a vu naître. / The main topic of this doctoral thesis is the study of the decline of the superhero icon in American films after 9/11. Superhero productions are at an all-time high, and yet, the superhero's morale is at an all-time low. This paradox is best illustrated with the dual image of Batman stuck at Ground Zero, staring up at the projection of his chevron looming large in the sky of Gotham City. The glowing merchandise transcends an otherwise sullied character. This dissertation focuses on three main realms: the superhero's loss of masculinity at the end of the twentieth century, leading to the formal opposition between the figures of the quarterback and the cheerleader, or between Superman and Everyman, and the reactionary, warpath revival which started in 2005; the travails of the flailing Superego and its shifting relationship to the almighty Id, represented by the twenty-first century glorified supervillain; and, finally, the inimical sociopolitical backdrop for the superhero's prowess, in which Fukuyama's prevalent isothymia eventually denies the superhero his just laurels. The postmodern superhero thus appears as a national misfit, also because this cultural commodity now reaches far beyond the traditional boundaries of the « American Way », to embrace an increasingly globalized market.
