Hardy-type operators involving suprema have turned out to be a useful tool in the theory of interpolation, for deriving Sobolev-type inequalities, for estimates of the non-increasing rearrangements of fractional maximal functions or for the description of norms appearing in optimal Sobolev embeddings. This thesis deals with the compactness of these operators on weighted Banach function spaces. We de ne a category of pairs of weighted Banach function spaces and formulate and prove a criterion for the compactness of a Hardy-type operator involving supremum which acts between a couple of spaces belonging to this category. Further, we show that the category contains speci c pairs of weighted Lebesgue spaces determined by a relation between the exponents. Besides, we bring an extension of the criterion to all weighted Lebesgue spaces, in proof of which we use characterization of the compactness of operators having the range in the cone of non-negative non-increasing functions, introduced as a separate result.

The material handling industry is facing new challenges with the divergence from the established EUR-pallet. In correlation with the autonomous technology which is becoming more advanced, available and affordable than ever before, new demands are created. The industry calls for innovative material handling automated guided vehicles to meet the requirements. These vehicles will increase the owners profit by being more efficient in terms of time, size and cost. The aim for this study is to develop suitable lifting mechanisms for an ultra-compact automated guided vehicle. A generic product development process is utilized. The requirements for the lifting mechanism is defined and presented in a specification. A selection of employees are involved in the ideation and concept generation to add in-house knowledge and experience. The concepts are developed with component research, 3D visualizations and concept descriptions. The concepts are evaluated and the most promising are selected. The selected concepts are further developed with CAD-models, calculations and a selection of components. The concepts are compared with each other and the initial specification to assess the most suitable lifting mechanism. The single acting hydraulic system, including a Micro Power Pack and four small hydraulic cylinders, is considered the best suitable choice for an ultracompact material handling automated guided vehicle.

Mitt syfte med denna uppsats har varit att ta reda på om läroböckerna i religionskunskap, vid namn, Sofi – Religion och Religionskunskap – Kompakt är lämpliga och aktuella att använda i undervisning trots att kursplanen kommer att förändras höstterminen 2011. Min undersökning har främst varit inriktad på kunskapssynen i kursplanen för religionskunskap, ur den nya läroplanen för grundskolan, och i de ovan nämnda läroböckerna. För att kunna identifiera kunskapssynen i läroböckerna har jag studerat de instuderingsuppgifter som finns i respektive lärobok. Dessa har jag sedan kategoriserat och försökt att ställa mot den syn på kunskap som den kommande kursplanen beskriver under rubrikerna ”3.14 Religionskunskap” och ”Syfte”. Frågeställningen som jag har arbetat utifrån lyder: Vilken kunskapssyn finns representerad i den kommande kursplanen för religionskunskap i grundskolan och i de utvalda läroböckernas uppgifter, och vilka konsekvenser får det för elevernas lärande? Min metod kan dels beskrivas som kvantitativ och dels hermeneutisk då jag ägnar mig åt att både tolka uppgifterna och mäta frekvensen av dem. Resultatet av min undersökning visade att det jag kallar för repetitionsuppgifter är det mest frekventa inslaget i de läroböcker som jag har undersökt. Det jag kallar tolkningsuppgifter intar en andra plats när jag mäter frekvensen av uppgiftssorterna. Tyngdpunkten i läroböckerna och i den kommande kursplanen ligger, enligt min tolkning, på kunskapsformerna fakta och förståelse vilket tyder på att deras kunskapssyner överensstämmer relativt bra. Min förhoppning är att denna uppsats ska ses som ett inlägg i debatten om läroböckernas framtid.

This thesis consists of four research papers. In the first paper we study whether certain properties of sets (functions) are separably determined. In our results we use the "method of elementary submodels". In the second paper we generalize some results concerning Valdivia compacta (equivalently spaces with a commutative retractional skeleton) to the context of spaces with a retractional skeleton (not necessarily commutative). The third paper further studies the structure of spaces with a projectional (resp. retractional) skeleton. Under certain conditions we prove the existence of a "simultaneous projectional skeleton" and we use this result to prove other statements concerning the structure of spaces with a projectional (resp. retractional) skeleton. In the last paper we study the method of elementary submodels in a greater detail and we compare it with the "method of rich families". 1

In my thesis I have dealt with the issue of Fiscal Responsibility in the EU, especially the position the EU Member States have on this issue. The first part defines the Budget responsibility and Fiscal policy at the level of the Czech Republic and level of European Union. There has been mainly described and analyzed the Stability and Growth Pact, and the Fiscal compact. The second part has been devoted to evaluation of individual member states and described how the legislative acts are used for effort to reach sustainable finances contributing to the overall generally maintain Responsible and Fiscal policy. At the end its summarized and compared the evolution of public debt and budget deficits and also characterized their independent Financial institution.

Den här rapporten dokumenterar ett examensarbete för högskoleingenjörsprogrammet iinnovationsteknik och design. Kursen omfattar 22,5 högskolepoäng och utförs vårterminen2019 vid Karlstads universitet. Projektet har genomförts i samarbete med RZ Zampart AB. De befintliga processerna i RZ Zamparts produktion har setts över och det finns möjligheter förförbättringar. Uppdragstagarens syfte med projektet är att effektivisera en rengöringsprocessi produktionslinan. I den befintliga rengöringsprocessen används en alkalisk lösning som ärnödvändig för att få detaljerna tillräckligt rena för vidare bearbetning. I dagsläget rengörsaluminiumdetaljerna på ett konventionellt sätt som innebär lagerhållning för att nyttja denbefintliga tvättanläggningen maximalt. Den konventionella metoden leder till ökat antalprodukter i arbete som innebär bundet kapital och användade av värdefull golvyta. Målet var attta fram en lösning som ersätter den första rengöringen i processledet som ska bidra med lägregenomloppstid, minskat bundet kapital i lagrade detaljer och minskad användning av golvyta.Projektet har tillämpat designprocessen med en projektmodell som innehåller faserna, förarbete,förstudie, kravspecifikation, konceptgenerering, konceptval och en layoutkonstruktion. Kreativaoch systematiska metoder som trädteknik, morfologisk analys, modeller och konstruktionsteknikhar använts. Resultatet är en kompakt konstruktion som använder varmvattenånga som tvättmedie iställetför alkaliska lösningar och tvättas direkt efter svarvningen. Konstruktionen skapar bättreförutsättningar för en effektivare produktion där genomloppstiden minskar, mindre arbetskraftoch mindre produkter i arbete. / This report documents a bachelor thesis in the course engineering program in innovationtechnology and design. The course comprises 22.5 credits and is conducted in the spring term2019 at Karlstad University. The project has been carried out in collaboration with RZ ZampartAB The existing processes in RZ Zampart's production have been reviewed and there areopportunities for improvement. The contractor's purpose with the project is to streamline one ofthe cleaning processes in a production line. In the existing cleaning process, an alkaline solutionis used which is necessary to get the details sufficiently clean for further processing. At present,the aluminum parts are cleaned in a conventional manner, which means storing the parts inorder to make maximum use of the existing washing plant. The conventional method leads toan increased number of products in work that involve tied capital and used by valuable floorspace. The aim was to develop a solution that replaces the first cleaning in the process stage,which leads to lower throughput time, reduced tied capital in stored parts and reduced use offloor space.The project has applied the design process with a project model that includes the phasespreparatory work, feasibility study, requirement specification, concept generation, conceptselection and a layout design. Creative and systematic methods such as tree technology,morphological analysis, models and structural engineering have been used. The result is a compact design that uses steam as a washing medium instead of alkaline solutionsand the parts are washed immediately after the turning operation. The construction createsbetter conditions for a more efficient production where the throughput time decreases, less laborand smaller products in work.

<p>”Gastromax Duo” är ett examensarbete som genomförts inom ramarna för Innovations- och designingenjörsutbildningen vid Karlstads universitet. Projektet har självständigt fullföljts av Joakim Ahlgren och Joakim Lidström under vårterminen 2010. Examensarbetets omfattning är 22,5 hp.</p><p>Uppdragsgivare för projektet är Peter Ottosson och Jonas Eriksson på Sveico AB i Gnosjö. Handledare för projektet hos uppdragsgivaren har varit Peter Johansson. Monica Jakobsson har varit handledare på Karlstads universitet. Lennart Wihk, industridesigner och universitetsadjunkt vid Karlstads universitet, är examinator och har fungerat som handledare och bollplank i designprocessen.</p><p>Sveico AB ligger i Gnosjö och tillverkar köksredskap och andra tillbehör till köksmiljön. I Sveicos produktportfölj återfinns produktserien Gastromax, som riktar sig specifikt till hemmakocken. Gastromax-serien saknar emellertid ett kompakt sönderdelningsredskap för matvaror, vilket föranledde detta produktutvecklingsprojekt.</p><p>Den största enskilda delen i projektet har varit en grundlig förstudie där projektgruppen kartlagt vilka behov och önskemål som finns hos användarna, samt hur marknaden ser ut för produkten. Förstudien består av intervjuer med konsumenter, professionella användare och representanter för handeln samt användarstudier.</p><p>Under produktutvecklingsprocessen har en rad olika idégenereringsmetoder används, såväl internt i projektgruppen, som externt med utomstående individer. Under den påföljande konceptutvecklingsfasen lades stor vikt vid framtagningen av fysiska modeller för utvärdering av idéer och lösningar.</p><p>Av de nitton koncept som sammanställdes från idégenereringsfasen, sållades sex koncept ut med hjälp av systematiska utvärderingsmetoder. De sex koncepten presenterades för uppdragsgivaren, som i sin tur valde ut två av koncepten, vilka projektgruppen vidareutvecklat till det slutgiltiga produktförslaget.</p><p>Den slutgiltiga detaljlösningen omhuldas av sekretess, men tre nyckelegenskaper hos det hopfällbara sönderdelningsredskapet kan noteras:</p><ul><li>Lång rivyta</li><li>Ställbar arbetsvinkel</li><li>Två rivytor, en fin och en grov</li></ul><p>Projektets slutliga resultat är en produktbeskrivning med förslag på övergripande utformning, mekanisk lösning av ställbarheten och materialval för produktens olika delar.</p> / <p>”Gastromax Duo” is a degree project for the Innovation and Design Engineering program at Karlstad University. Joakim Ahlgren and Joakim Lidström have independently carried out the project during Spring Term 2010. The degree project extends 22,5 ECTS credits.</p><p>The assigners for this project are Peter Ottosson and Jonas Eriksson at Sveico AB in Gnosjö, Sweden. Peter Johansson is the project supervisor at Sveico AB and Monica Jacobsson is the academic supervisor at Karlstad University. The examiner at Karlstad University is Lennart Wihk, who has also supported the project team during the design process.</p><p>Sveico AB is located in Gnosjö, Sweden and manufactures kitchen utensils and other kitchen accessories. In the Sveico AB product portfolio resides the Gastromax series of kitchen tools for the ”home chef”. The lack of a foldable grater within the Gastromax series was noticed by the Sveico AB management, which brought about this project.</p><p>The largest part of this project was a very thorough pre-study phase, where the project team mapped out the needs and wishes of the users, along with research about the market of the product. The pre-study consists of interviews with consumers, professional users and representatives of commerce, along with user studies.</p><p>During the product development process, a number of idea generation methods has been used, both internally in the project team and externally with uninitiated individuals. During the subsequent concept generation phase, emphasis was put on the development of physical models, used to evaluate ideas and solutions.</p><p>Out of the 19 concepts that were developed during the concept generation phase, six was chosen through a set of systematic evaluation routines. These six concepts were presented to the assigners that in turn chose two of the concepts for the project team to develop further. These two concepts was then combined and transformed into the final product proposal.</p><p>The final, detailed solution is surrounded with secrecy, but three key concepts in the final foldable grater can be officially stated:</p><ul><li>A long grating surface</li><li>Adjustable work angle</li><li>Two grating surfaces: one fine and one coarse</li></ul><p>The final result of the project is a product description of the grater, with a proposal of a general design, a mechanical solution of the adjustability aspect and a suggestion of materials for the different product components.</p>
