The purpose of this master thesis is to address two main ways of dealing with used textile material in Czech Republic. It compares textile material as a component of a household waste with textile material as a component of a segregated waste. The main question that the thesis and the research done within it addresses is whether the costs, associated with textile waste management coming as the result of administrative tools and legislative action plans mounted to it, are not too high. Based on a calculated model of cost structure of both above mentioned variants their comparison could be performed. Analysis of its results pointed out, that under certain given conditions and assumptions the system of segregated waste collection is, despite its higher costs, effective. The outcome of this master thesis is proposed possible scenarios used to optimize textile waste management in the context of economic science methodology, available data and primary research questions.

The main objective of my dissertation was to ascertain the major trends and effectiveness of municipal waste management of the waste that is produced by individual municipalities with extended powers in the region of Vysočina. I mainly focus on the expenses related to the waste management that are paid from municipal budgets.

This diploma thesis provides a complete information about local politics in the town of Vlašim. Theoretical basis is primary focused on the theory of coalitions and its typology. Then characterizes socio - economic indicators of the municipality, which have the main effects on the local political system. Further, it describes election periods from the year of 2002 to 2010. This part is important to know all contexts that have influenced today's composition of coalition and in fact the whole situation in the city council. The last chapter applies the theory of coalition at the local level. For the correct interpretation and understanding of the formation of coalitions in Vlašim it is fundamental to detect the local specificities such as motivation of creating partnership between the parties, relationships between councilors etc. Now it is possible to understand the local political scene and subsequently the principles of local coalitions.

The MA thesis aims to describe the development of local government in the municipality of Nižbor, which is located in the Central Bohemia Region near Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, and the town of Beroun. The thesis includes a brief summary of the village´s history, its socioeconomic indicators and management, and also assessment of local elections focusing on the years 2006, 2010 and 2014. The thesis also contains interviews with local councillors, at least one councillor from each list of candidates was selected. Some parts of the interviews were directly quoted, others were paraphrased. The thesis also mentions political parties of the local political system, such as the Civic Democratic Party (ODS), political movement ANO 2011 (ANO 2011) and various associations of independent candidates. The aim of the thesis is to describe the main socioeconomic indicators, to identify actors of the political process in the municipality of Nižbor and to define the character of the decision-making proces of its local government.

The diploma thesis deals with local government. The thesis is made as a case study. The first part deals with theoretical basic concepts and characteristics of municipality. Then the historical development of local self-government in the Czech countries is outlined there and also main specifics of local political process are described. The practical part deals with characteristics of chosen municipality, town of Pelhřimov which is located in the Region of Vysočina and the attention is concentrated mainly on the factors which could influence local government. The main part of the thesis is concentrated on development of local political scene and individual political player inclusive of citizen political participation. The emphasis is put on municipal elections in the year 2014. In the end discovered facts are summarized.

The diploma thesis with the topic ?Municipal elite in Pacov in the years 1848-1918? is focused on connecting the local political and social-cultural life. One important part of this thesis is its attempt to define the local conditions including the historical, demographical, national, linguistic and economic aspects of the town and the neighbouring region. It also defines the progress of the municipal management in the period 1850-1862. On the basis of extant written and iconographic sources, especially from the fund ?Archive of the town Pacov?, which is in the National district archive in Pelhřimov, the author tried to form a version of the individual Pacov local government and town council in the time period 1862-1918. The author also tried to form an interconnection net of the local representative of the municipal self-government using an analysis of the list of voters and other partial sources. After that the author put emphasis on the social and family relations among them, including closer biographical study of some representative families. Town address books and Roman-Catholic register offices served as the main sources. These and other sources and materials were used in forming short biographies and histories of chosen families. The aim of this thesis was also to form biograms of the individual members in the municipal elite. Another part of this thesis is the author´s exploration and creation of some Pacov family trees, whose members were representatives in the municipal politics.

This thesis focuses on specific business personality of the nineteenth century - Richard Dotzauer. It charts his work in the field of business, but so is devoted to his public activities in the federal and political life. As part of the work is monitored also the issue of entrepreneurial mentality and lifestyle. As part of this work is to form a wider excursion pointed to other significant business personality of study epoch. Richard Dotzauer represents a type of German businessmen. In the case of Andreas Haase terms of personality that goes nationally difficult to define. Jindřich Fügner is nationally representative of the Czech entrepreneurship. The work studies the personalities mentioned in the context of important processes of the nineteenth century, such as the industrialization, the formation of the national movement and the emergence of modern civil society. My thesis is aimed at the possiblities of collecting and utilizing the biodegradable component of municipal waste in the specific environment of České Budějovice. The thesis includes a proposal to construct a municipal biogas plant to decrease the volume of mixed municipal waste. The goal of this part of the thesis is to compare expected costs and income of the project and determine the general economic indicators and evaluate the investment, so that the project can be either fully recommended or rejected.

The aim of the thesis is "Proposal of waste management plan in municipality Vráž u Berouna". Waste management legislation, waste treatment and municipal instruments are described in theoretical part, while the model area is characterized in part II. All ilegal dumps are discovered and registered in the field survey. The data and the outputs were obtained by questionnaire survey in the households. The final part describes municipal analysis of income and expenditure and proposes more effective waste management system.

The thesis deals with composting and ways of handling biodegradable waste and biodegradable municipal waste. It explains the terms related to composting and processing of BW and BMW and clarifies the difference between humus and primary organic matter and its composition. Furthermore, the thesis covers qualitative and quantitative features of compost, raw material composition of the dump, and factors influencing the process of decomposition itself. The practical part of the thesis describes the quality of the compost from the municipal composting plant Písek. This part also includes a description of the composting plant and a description of the composting process. The main part and the goal of the thesis is to determine the ion-exchange capacity T according to Sandhoff and to suggest the optimal composting technology in the Municipal composting plant Písek.
