Skövde Kulturhus is a cultural centre in Skövde that have been remodelled to incorporate new areas and to improve the old ones. The centre has different locals where different activities can be performed such as watching movies and theatre plays, dance, etc. In the art gallery, one of the new areas is the workshop, and for this, new furniture is needed. During the project, a set of a table and chairs have been developed for the workshop, following some specifications, set by the personnel of the Cultural Centre and by the conclusion from the different investigations. This report covers the whole process from the different researches to the evaluation and the development of the final concepts; it follows a modification of the Cyclic Strategy Method process, which includes the research and different design tools to create the concepts, as morphological chart, braindrawing and a study of the form. User studies have been made to get a good understanding of the way a person uses this furniture using surveys; ergonomics research has been made to design furniture for all kind of people; and market research have been made to discovered what kind of furniture is usually used. All these researches have been investigated to create the optimal table and chair for the activities done at the Centre. The final solutions, which have been evaluated against other concepts, are a wooden table, whose design and modular form permits to join other tables to work in teams; and a wooden chair, which have been designed for different people size. Both would fulfil the requirements and fit in the new cultural centre.

Bevaransvärda ekar och en stor sten har fått styra utformningen över ett scenrum, mellan landskap och byggnad. Som kontrast till Älvsjömässan är omgivningens inflytande  tydligt på kulturskolan. En plattform möter upp utgången på stationsbyggnaden och fortsätter dess infrastrukturella syfte att ta besökarna över tågspår och stenås.  Materialet är trä med lättbalkar, ekologisk cellulosaisolering och ytskikt av plywoodskivor. De kraftiga men mjukt rundade väggarna ansluter sig både till en organisk och klassisk form  och kan antyda både kolonn och trädstam. De relativt höga våningarna, som succesivt terraseras från söder till norr landar över mässahallen västra fasad - som en markering av sitt värde som kulturinstitution i området. De kraftigt isolerade väggarna fungerar också ljuddämpade - vilket närheten till pendeltågen gör nödvändig.   Byggnaden kan delas in i tre sekvenser: den höga delen med drama- och teatersscen, mellandelen som är ett trapphus med salar och verksamhet, samt cafét som även den har ansluten verksamhet. / Oaks and a large stone has been crusual to the design of the stage space, between landscape and building. In contrast to the Stockholm International Fairs the environment influence is sinificant on the cultural school. A platform meets the end of the station building and continue its infrastructure with a view to taking visitors across railroad tracks. The material is wood with light beams, organic cellulose insulation and the surface layer of plywood. The powerful but smooth rounded walls connect to both an organic and classical form and can indicate both the column and the tree trunk. The relatively high floors, which gradually terra served from south to north lands of exhibition hall western facade - as a highlight of his value as a cultural institution in the area. The heavily insulated walls also serves silenced - as near to the commuter train makes necessary. The building can be divided into three sequences: the high part of drama and theater scene, the middle part is a stairwell with labs and activities, as well as the café, which also has connected business.

Målet med detta projekt är att etablera en trygg och inbjudande plats i Ösmo som fungerar som en fristad för både lokala invånare och konstnärer. Det är tänkt att vara en plats där individer kan koppla av, reflektera över livets mysterier och fördjupa sig i konstens och naturens transformerande kraft. Syftet är att skapa en fristad som erbjuder en paus från vardagens rutiner och utmaningar i centrala Ösmo, och ge människor möjlighet att stanna upp, reflektera och återupprätta kontakten med sitt inre. Centralt för projektet är idén om att odla en avslappnad och lugn atmosfär där besökare kan fly undan bruset och distraktionerna i vardagen. Projektet strävar efter att skapa en miljö som uppmuntrar till eftertanke, utforskning av konstnärligt uttryck och främjar en känsla avtillhörighet och gemenskap.  Designen syftar till att skapa en öppen verkstadsatmosfär, en plats där flera konstprojekt samexisterar harmonisktoch inspirerar människor att omfamna sin egen kreativitet. Projektet lägger stor vikt vid kopplingen mellan konst och natur. Målet är att integrera den naturliga omgivningen i själva byggnadens struktur och skapa en sömlös relation mellan den byggda miljön ochlandskapets organiska skönhet. Arkitekturen kommer att spegla denna harmoni och bjuda in besökare att uppskatta och engagera sig i  de naturliga elementen. Målet är att skapa en plats som inte bara ger tröst utan också fungerar som en katalysator för konstnärlig inspiration, vilket uppmuntrar besökare att utforska sina konstnärliga talanger och passioner. / The goal of this project is to establish a safe and inviting place in Ösmo that functions as a haven for both local residents and artists. It is meant to be a place where individuals can relax, reflect on the mysteries of life and immerse themselves in the transformative power of art and nature. The aim is to create a sanctuary that offers a break from everyday routines and challenges in central Ösmo, and to give people the opportunity to stop, reflect and re-establish contact with their inner self. Central to the project is the idea of ​​cultivating a relaxed and calm atmosphere where visitors can escape the noise and distractions of everyday life. The project aims to create an environment that encourages reflection, exploration of artistic expression and fosters a sense ofbelonging and community. The design aims to create an open workshop atmosphere, a place where several art projects coexist harmoniouslyand inspires people to embrace their own creativity. The project places great emphasis on the connection between art and nature. The goal is to integrate the natural surroundings into the structure of the building itself and create a seamless relationship between the built environment andthe organic beauty of the landscape. The architecture will reflect this harmony and invite visitors to appreciate and engage with the natural elements. The goal is to create a place that not only provides comfort but also acts as a catalyst for artistic inspiration, encouraging visitors to explore their artistic talents and passions.

Kulturhuset Kronan är ett medborgardrivet kulturhus i Sundbyberg utanför Stockholm. Projektet drivs av demokratiska värden och målet har varit att skapa en öppen mötesplats för personer i närområdet. Rumsorganiseringen och den geografiska placeringen på tomten har båda syftat till att skapa öppenhet och trygghet. Dessutom skapas liv och rörelse som genererar nya möten vilket bidrar till att stärka demokratiska normer och värderingar. Byggnaden presenteras i främst i ritningar, diagram och modellbilder men också i text. På gårdsplanen är aktivitetsbaserad och där samsas en lekplats, skatepark och träningsyta för parkourutövare. Här finns även en avdelande gradäng som kan fungera för uthomhusbio mm under sommaren. Huset är i fyra plan och relaterar till en kärna, ett öppet trapphus som medger vertikalitet och rörelse. Genom detta knyts våningsplanen och aktiviteterna samman samt uppmuntrar till möten. / The Crown Community Centre is an open building placed in Sundbyberg, Sweden. It's driven by citizens to ensure a democratic leadership because anyone can engage and together with others decide what sort of activities the house will offer. The aim has been to create an open meeting point for the community where everybody is welcome and can learn together. Every floorplan aims to this along with the placement in the city. The four floors are connected through an open staircase to promote meetings between activities and to allow verticality. The yard is based on activity such as a playground for children, a parkour training ground and a skatepark. A seating gallery organizes the yard and allows outdoor movies, among other things, to be shown in the summertime.  The Crown Community Centre project is presented mostly in drawings, models and diagram but also in short texts in swedish in order to further explain the projects most important aspects.

Detta projekt innefattar en förskola med en tvist. Tanken är att byggnaden ska ge mervärde till staden & dess invånare, inte bara som en privat verksamhet som står för sig. Genom att korsa en privat med en offentlig användning d.v.s. en förskola med + aktiviteter, så som café, ateljé & bibliotek, har denna byggnad tagit form.   Till & börja med tar en förskola plats utanför hemmet & innefattar både barnomsorg & utbildning. En sådan verksamhet ska hushållas i en trygg & kreativ miljö där lek & behov får ta sin plats; många dagis är som öar, avskurna från allmänheten av en grind & gård, med en tegel- eller träkåk i mitten: i & med de stora barnkullarna på senare tid hushålls verksamheten i temporära baracker eller bottenvåningar i innerstan.   Intentionen i detta projekt har varit att undersöka vad en trygg & spännande miljö kan vara för barn att vistas i. Denna process har varit en dialog mellan form & plats. / This project is about creating a preschool with a twist. The building itself is suppose to give a surplus value to the city & its inhabitants, not only as a private activity which stands on its own. By combining a private with a public usage; a preschool with + activities, such as a café, workshop & library, this building began to take shape.   To begin with a preschool is set outside the home & it combines both childcare & education. Such occupation should take place within a safe & creative environment where play & needs are met; many preschools are like islands, isolated from the public with a gate & playground, with a brick or wooden building in the middle: with the large child groups nowadays many preschools are set within temporary barracks or ground floors within the city.   The intention of this project has been to investigate what a safe & exciting environment for children might be. This process has been a dialog between form & place.

Aktivitetsfabriken undersöker flera frågeställningar. Främst; vad är en flexibel byggnad? Med följdfrågorna; hur skapar man en flexibel byggnad och vad är fördelarna med en sådan? Dessutom frågorna kring hur man kan förhålla sig till och möta en befintlig gammal byggnad?

Hur hanterar vi gamla industrilokaler där industrierna gått ur tiden men byggnadsstrukturerna finns kvar? Projektet utforskar arkitektoniska strategier där enkla tygstrukturer ger stor rumslig effekt - mellanrummet mellan nytt och gammalt undersöks. Platsen är Gustavsberg och den gamla Hushållsporslinsfabriken med ett nytt program där Allt är möjligt-hus i Cirkus Cirkörs regi ingår. Kulturhuset innehåller också funktioner såsom museum, bibliotek, konstall och administration.

The project’s objective is to provide Florence with a new concept - a public Cultural House open for everyone and offering a current, reflective and innovative cultural experience from a local, national and international perspective. At the same time, this will open up and give colour and new life to the ancient convent “Sant’Orsola”, consider the balance between old and new, and relate to what it once was - a place for the community characterized by togetherness, activation and educational possibilities. The circle is the central symbol and associates to the history and never ending time, as a clock that goes around… tic toc. The aim is to address a current need, reduce some gaps and to find a value that is not only about the local historical aspects, but the interaction and exchange between different people and cultures in real time.
