Previous issue date: 2010-09-30 / The theme of this Master Thesis is about the training and quality that has received the
Bachelor in Law Course at the Catholic University of Goiás: A Case Study. The concern held
in inquiries about the concreteness of training/professional students graduating in the class
2004/2 of the Law degree from PUC/GOIÁS. We used the literature review, empirical and
qualityquantitative. In the literature, we used the theoretical foundation of the materialist
dialectic in Karl Marx (2007), Marilena Chauí (1999), Bruno Lucia (1996), João dos Reis
Silva Júnior (2002), José Robinson (1998 and 2007), Valdemar Sguissardi (2000 and 2001),
Pablo Gentili (1996) and Herman Joseph Wellington (2000). We tried to understand, interpret
and analyze the contradictions that have occurred in the sociability of the capital and how
these extend to education and, specifically, in the course of law in times of neoliberal policies.
We used questionnaires to 42 of 200 students graduated, this instrument that was meant to
assess the socio-economic status of the student body morning and evening periods of the class
2004/2 of students who graduated from law PUC-GOIÁS. We found that, clearly, differences
in quality of education of both morning and evening shifts. It was found as a result of the
evaluation of students of the Law of the morning and night, that the assessments were
qualitatively different, although the curriculum and the amount of hours being equal, given
the material conditions of students in that night, in his Most are workers, only to later become
students. Thus, it remains clear that the good education has become a two-quality goods sold
and different results for the same price.
