Zámek a kostel sv. Jana Nepomuckého ve Vyklanticích za Harrachů / The Mannor House and the S. John of Nepomuk Church in Vyklantice in the Age of Harrach

NEVAŘILOVÁ, Zuzana January 2018 (has links)
My thesis deals with the buildings of the castle and the church of Saint John of Nepomuk in Vyklantice which was built between 1722 and 1729 by Jan Jáchym Harrach. Firstly, the work presents the history of the Vyklantice manor and the history of both buildings. Description of the present state of the castle and the church is confronted with photographs from the 1970s. Finally, the work focuses on the genealogy of the Harrachs family and other estates owned by Jan Jáchym and his brother Ferdinand Markvart Harrach. The core of the thesis is in the following chapters which deal with a question of authorship of the Vyklantice constructions. The first criticism has been made on actual addition of researchers who attribute these objects to K. I. Dientzenhofer or J. B. Santini-Aichl and J. L. von Hildebrandt. The survey shows that the buildings in Vyklantice are probably the work of a local builder, as objects do not show the quality of the artistic creation of the architects mentioned above.

[en] THE COMPASSION OF JESUS FOR THE WIDOWED MOTHER OF NAIM (LK 7:11-17): THE USE OF THE VERB SPLANGXIZOMAI IN THE PERICOPE AND IN THE GOSPEL OF LUKE / [pt] A COMPAIXÃO DE JESUS COM A MÃE VIÚVA DE NAIM (LC 7,11-17): O EMPREGO DO VERBO SPLANGXIZOMAI NA PERÍCOPE E NO EVANGELHO DE LUCAS

ILDO PERONDI 06 April 2016 (has links)
[en] This research is a study and analysis of Lk 7:11-17, well-known as the resurrection of the widow s son at Nain, aiming to understand the feeling of compassion felt by Jesus after seeing the widowed mother on her way to bury her only son. That feeling was well portrayed by Luke by the use of the verb splangxizomai (being moved by compassion). The criteria for the use of this verb in the pericope as well as in the other occurrences in the Gospel of Luke are studied. For the analysis and interpretation of Lk 7:11-17, essential elements of the historical-critic method are used. Thus, a diachronic analysis of the text is made and by analyzing the way Luke uses the verb splangxizomai in his Gospel, the analysis is synchronic, considering the text in its final form and revealing the elements used to provoke the reader, within the structure of Lk 7:11-17 and linked to the Gospel as a whole. Our research values the diachronic studies through their interfacing with synchronic studies and intertextual analyses. The results achieved lead to a better understanding of the narrative, highlighting that the fact of Jesus being moved with compassion by the situation of the widowed mother resulted in the solution of the problem. With his word, Jesus reanimated the dead young man and returned him to his mother. With this, the crowds recognized the episode as a visit of God to his people. We demonstrate that the use of the verb splangxizomai by Luke was conscious and consistent, using literary criteria and his own narrative style, functioning as a turning point, a point of change, and serving as a model for the further use of the verb in other passages of the Gospel (Lk 10:33 and 15:20).

Recalage d'images de visage / Facial image registration

Ni, Weiyuan 11 December 2012 (has links)
Etude bibliographique sur le recalage d'images de visage et sur le recalage d'images et travail en collaboration avec Son VuS, pour définir la précision nécessaire du recalage en fonction des exigences des méthodes de reconnaissance de visages. / Face alignment is an important step in a typical automatic face recognition system. This thesis addresses the alignment of faces for face recognition applicationin video surveillance context. The main challenging factors of this research includethe low quality of images (e.g., low resolution, motion blur, and noise), uncontrolledillumination conditions, pose variations, expression changes, and occlusions. In orderto deal with these problems, we propose several face alignment methods using differentstrategies. The _rst part of our work is a three-stage method for facial pointlocalization which can be used for correcting mis-alignment errors. While existingalgorithms mostly rely on a priori knowledge of facial structure and on a trainingphase, our approach works in an online mode without requirements of pre-de_nedconstraints on feature distributions. The proposed method works well on images underexpression and lighting variations. The key contributions of this thesis are aboutjoint image alignment algorithms where a set of images is simultaneously alignedwithout a biased template selection. We respectively propose two unsupervised jointalignment algorithms : \Lucas-Kanade entropy congealing" (LKC) and \gradient correlationcongealing" (GCC). In LKC, an image ensemble is aligned by minimizing asum-of-entropy function de_ned over all images. GCC uses gradient correlation coef-_cient as similarity measure. The proposed algorithms perform well on images underdi_erent conditions. To further improve the robustness to mis-alignments and thecomputational speed, we apply a multi-resolution framework to joint face alignmentalgorithms. Moreover, our work is not limited in the face alignment stage. Since facealignment and face acquisition are interrelated, we develop an adaptive appearanceface tracking method with alignment feedbacks. This closed-loop framework showsits robustness to large variations in target's state, and it signi_cantly decreases themis-alignment errors in tracked faces.

Transfer záalpských krajinných motivů v grafice do vybraných děl italských rytců na začátku 16. století / Transfer of transalpine landscape motifs in graphic art into selected works of Italian engravers of the early 16th century

Veselá, Markéta January 2016 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to illustrate the phenomenon of the transfer of the transalpine landscape motifs in graphic art into the works of Italian engravers at the beginning of the six- teenth century, and by using detailed analysis of these prints lead to a decision as to why these transfers occur so frequently, mainly in the years 1500-1520. Because only brief mentions of these transfers are found in the available literature on this topic, and then often only as a statement, I decided to tackle this phenomenon in the context of landscape specifications. In the introductory chapter there will be a concise overview of the cultural situation of the humanistic society, including its assumptions and a brief evolution of depiction of landscape art. Additionally there will be a chapter about the terminology used, which in addition to clarifying the terminology also helps to further the description of the proce- ss itself. The main part will of course be a chapter dedicated into selected items. There will also be descriptions of the graphic works of selected Italian engravers, especially in the comparison of transferred landscape motifs from works by Albrecht Dürer and Lucas van Leyden. Analy- sis of the individual prints will focus on elements transmitted in the background of the works. Iconography...

Mining crop sequence patterns at a large regional scale : A case from mainland France / Explorer les distributions spatiales de successions culturales et les évolutions à grande échelle régionale : cas de la France métropolitaine

Xiao, Ying 18 September 2015 (has links)
In the context of changing agricultural policy, the development of agricultural production systems, increasing concern for agricultural sustainability and shifts in agricultural land management practice-related land-use change, the main objective of this thesis was to mine crop sequence patterns (CSP) and the relationships between CSP and the biophysical and socio-technical-economic conditions in mainland France from historical census data (e.g. land-cover survey, agricultural censuses, population census). Our study period 1992-2003 covers the implementation period of the 1992 European Union Common Agricultural Policy reform and Agenda 2000 in France. Both the classical statistical and data mining technique were applied in alone or combined ways in this thesis. First, we proposed an innovative approach to representing CSP within a given area and period at a large regional scale in a stationary way. The 2549 3-year crop sequences (CSs) were first identified as major CSs within all 430 agricultural districts (ADs) in mainland France during this period. Next, 21 clusters of ADs , four types of cropping systems, 90 representative ADs and three principal planting zones of cereals, oilseeds, and protein crops belonging to five clusters identified previously were further defined. We then explored CSP in a dynamic way by investigating CSP after grassland-to-cropland conversion, the temporal variability of CSP, and the evolution of the relationships between CSP and the external conditions over the study period. We conclude that the approaches developed here permit the representation of CSP at the large regional scale in both stationary and dynamic ways using time series land-cover data denoting specific agricultural cover types. The findings of this thesis contribute to improving the understanding of the process and pattern of human land management practices by agriculture affecting the terrestrial biosphere

The industry of evangelism : printing for the Reformation in Martin Luther's Wittenberg

Thomas, Drew B. January 2018 (has links)
When Martin Luther supposedly nailed his Ninety-Five Theses in 1517 to the Castle Church door in Wittenberg, the small town had only a single printing press. By the end of the century, Wittenberg had published more books than any other city in the Holy Roman Empire. Of the leading print centres in early modern Europe, Wittenberg was the only one that was not a major centre of trade, politics, or culture. This thesis examines the rise of the Wittenberg printing industry and analyses how it overtook the Empire's leading print centres. Luther's controversy—and the publications it produced—attracted printers to Wittenberg who would publish tract after tract. In only a few years, Luther became the most published author since the invention of the printing press. This thesis investigates the workshops of the four leading printers in Wittenberg during Luther's lifetime: Nickel Schirlentz, Josef Klug, Hans Lufft, and Georg Rhau. Together, these printers conquered the German print world. They were helped with the assistance of the famous Renaissance artist, Lucas Cranach the Elder, who lived in Wittenberg as court painter to the Elector of Saxony. His woodcut title page borders decorated the covers of Luther's books and were copied throughout the Empire. Capitalising off the demand for Wittenberg books, many printers falsely printed that their books were from Wittenberg. Such fraud played a major role in the Reformation book trade, as printers in every major print centre made counterfeits of Wittenberg books. However, Reformation pamphlets were not the sole reason for Wittenberg's success. Such items played only a marginal role in the local industry. It was the great Luther Bibles, spurred by Luther's emphasis on Bible reading, that allowed Wittenberg's printers to overcome the odds and become the largest print centre in early modern Germany.
