From the fact that this gospel is the popular and historical memory of the communities on the person of Jesus and his project, we discuss the conflicts in Jesus times and after 80 s a.C., especially, the conflicts with the temple of Jerusalem and the Roman Empire. The desire and the practice that intended a transformation on the reality is what we mention as the Jesus political praxis. It is about a releasing praxis that faced the Temple and the Empire. A praxis that intended the ideological release of the Roman Empire, that made people slave through taxes, and intended the liberation from the oppression caused by the religious an political ideology justified by the name of God. Several bible pericope from Luke s gospel are analyzed through this point of view in our research. To conclude we descant about the political praxis of Jesus and it s reflects in present times, in other words, the implications of Jesus political praxis in the political praxis nowadays.

A multiterritorialidade do migrante ga?cho no Mato Grosso / In any ground: always ga?cho! The multiterritoriality of the ga?cho migrant in Mato Grosso

Rocha, Betty Nogueira 10 March 2006 (has links)

The basis of the analysis is the (re)construction of the ga?cha identity informed by the self-image of this social group which sees itself as an explorer, a pioneer and an enterprising that, leaving its origin territory, takes with it, in its baggage, a set of socio-cultural representations and references which are recovered in the new territory as a characteristic mark of its territoriality. It is about a case study from the life history and the ga?chos migrants memory who left the south region of the country going to a place which nowadays is the seat of the district of Lucas do Rio Verde. The research points to an analysis which has as reference the notion of symbolic power in which the group social identity interferes and is decisive in the constitution of new territories. It is through a symbolic array, using spacial elements, representations or symbols, that the gaucho constitutes his territorial identity, that is, he gives or reveals an aspect which homogenizes the territory where he lives, even if far from his homeland, able to give the group a certain cohesion and power (symbolic). In this way, a constitution process of a territory involves, dialectically, an indissoluble movement of unisntallation and reinstallation which happens in different scales and can be better understood from the concept of multiterritoriality. This dissertation has the aim of understanding the customs (social and cultural) and representations which were selected by this social actor, the gaucho , to print his identity in this new territory and to demonstrate that there is an interdependency which cannot be ignored among the socio-cultural relationships of the migrants and the standard of appropriation and territorial organization in different scales.

No. of bitstreams: 1 JOÃO CÂNDIDO BARBOSA.pdf: 1621165 bytes, checksum: 3983d757cf3d40da880ccca3cdf07c15 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2017-08-10 / This thesis aims to investigate, from the Luke's Gospel, the political and socioeconomic situation of the people during the first century. It deals with situations that affected the lives of impoverished, marginalized and despised people in the context of a society under the power of the Roman Empire, which ditacted the economic rules at that time. It is understood that the Luke's Gospel tells the history lived by the original christian communities with their ethical and spiritual values regarding God's Kingdom and the lifestyle by them adopted, against the patriarchal system imposed due to the Roman domination. The work highlights the conflicts that existed in the time of Jesus and the writing of the Luke's Gospel. In this scenario, dominated by the wishes of the powerful ones to the detriment of the weak and impoverished, the path chosen by Jesus was to stay at the side of weak, despicable and despised ones, and all who sought to change their lives. Jesus' liberating praxis confronted the Jewish elite and the Roman Empire, proposing the ideological liberation from the oppressive imposition that subjugated and enslaved people through exorbitant tax levels and the force of the Roman army, which destroyed countless lives with refined cruelty. It analyzes the pericopes that tell the story of the widow of Naim (7,11-17), the parable of the good samaritan (10,25-37) and the Zacchaeus narrative (19,1-10), analyzed under its ethical and socioeconomic elements. In this context, it is perceived that the Jesus spirituality and ethics are based in the concept of God as a Father, invoked by prayer, from which compassion and mercy are originated, and that are extended to the needy people. Therefore, it is argued that Jesus' actions are capable of reversing death processes in life processes and can contribute to a living in society with more dignity and social justice, also in nowadays.

Combinatorial Interpretations of Fibonomial Identities

Reiland, Elizabeth 01 May 2011 (has links)
The Fibonomial numbers are defined by \[ \begin{bmatrix}n \\ k \end{bmatrix} = \frac{\prod_{i=n-k+1} ^{n} F_i}{\prod_{j=1}^{k} F_j} \] where $F_i$ is the $i$th Fibonacci number, defined by the recurrence $F_n=F_{n-1}+F_{n-2}$ with initial conditions $F_0=0,F_1=1$. In the past year, Sagan and Savage have derived a combinatorial interpretation for these Fibonomial numbers, an interpretation that relies upon tilings of a partition and its complement in a given grid.In this thesis, I investigate previously proven theorems for the Fibonomial numbers and attempt to reinterpret and reprove them in light of this new combinatorial description. I also present combinatorial proofs for some identities I did not find elsewhere in my research and begin the process of creating a general mapping between the two different Fibonomial interpretations. Finally, I provide a discussion of potential directions for future work in this area.

Castro trejo, Aline 15 October 2012 (has links) (PDF)

From atomic energy to nuclear science: a history of the Australian Atomic Energy Commission / History of the Australian Atomic Energy Commission

Thesis (PhD)--Macquarie University, Division of Information & Communication Sciences, Department of Physics, 2003. / Bibliography: p. 269-277. / Introduction -- Oliphant: a finger in many pies -- Men of vision and a world power in embryo -- The birth of the Commission -- We need secrets to trade: the Beryllia Project -- The Commission: a hive of activity -- The reactor that never was: the Jervis Bay Project -- The reinvention of the Commission -- The Commission is dead, long live ANSTO -- Conclusion. / Nuclear energy was once seen as a possible answer to man's energy needs, but it could also be used to produce the most destructive weapons known. The initial research into the phenomenon of nuclear fission was done at university laboratories in Europe on the eve of the Second World War. This war led to the development of the first nuclear weapons. After the war, many nations wanted access to both the weapons and the source of cheap power that the process of nuclear fission provided. Australia was one such nation. -- The Australian Government wanted nuclear energy to help develop the dry interior of the continent. There were many in Government who also wanted nuclear weapons. This work focuses on the Australian pursuit of nuclear energy for peaceful uses. The achieve this aim an organisation was established which would train scientists and engineers in nuclear science and technology. This organisation, the Australian Atomic Energy Commission, is the subject of this thesis. -- This work will examine the political influences that governed the Commission in its function and scientific research paths. Specifically, it will examine how successive governments caused the Commission to cancel projects, change the direction of its research, attempted (on several occasions) to amalgamate the Commission with the CSIRO, forcing the organisation into uranium mining and finally abolishing it and replacing it with a new organisation, the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation. Government interference would continue with this new organisation which had its entire board dismissed in 1993. -- The Commission was essentially a scientific and engineering organisation and hence this thesis will also consider a number of projects with which the Commission was involved such as the Beryllium Project, uranium exploration and mining, the uranium enrichment programs, the purchase of two nuclear reactors, the Synroc project, and the ill-fated Jervis Bay power reactor project. Other projects which were started in the early days of the Commission, the neutron diffraction work and the isotope production projects, will be mentioned in passing. Both these projects require a more detailed appraisal than is possible in this thesis. / Mode of access: World Wide Web. / viii, 278 p. ill

Lauro José Coelho Queiroz 18 December 2014 (has links)
This paper proposes a dialog between theology and medicine based on the analysis of the cure of the woman suffering from hemorrhages (Lk 8:43-48). The research is guided by the exegetical and methodological practice of Faculdades EST and its research orientators. The work describes in a brief way, the issue of the meaning of curing in the context of the first century, the history of medicine, presenting its concept and its origin, as it applies to what illness meant to the primitive people of Mesopotamia and to illness in the East, in Greek mythology and the development of medicine in Greece, Roman medicine and medicine among the Hebrew people. It also deals with the author of the Gospel which the tradition of the church attributes to Luke, the doctor, originally from Syrian Antioch, with the illness which plagued the woman in Luke 8:43-48, with the physical meaning of the hemorrhagic illness, with the possible causes of the hemorrhage, with the social and religious implication of the illness. The work presents an exegetical interpretation of the text in focus, with its prerogatives of interpretation, with the analysis of textual variants and the literary analysis of the Gospel of Luke. The work also focuses on the initiative of the hemorrhagic woman and her cure through the miraculous action of Jesus. The work also reflects on the miracle of the cure and the cure as a miracle, about miracle in the Bible, in the Old and New Testament, and specifically about the miracle of the cure of the hemorrhagic woman and its physical and social meaning. Finally, the work lists a reasonable number of works where the readers and the researchers can obtain more information on the theme.

Akumulace devizových rezerv vybraných asijských ekonomik v kontextu s Lucasovým paradoxem / Accumulation of foreign exchange reserves in selected Asian economies

Trulik, Jiří January 2014 (has links)
This thesis focuses on the analysis and description of the causes of trends in the accumulation of foreign exchange reserves in three selected Asian economies, China, Singapore and Hong Kong. In the analysis are examined selected factors whose relationship with the foreign reserves, based on their merits and in the work of this association subsequently investigated on empirical data, mainly from the balance of payments and the statement of net investment position to identify and specify the main causes of accumulation of foreign exchange reserves in individual economies. The general framework of work consists of the theories of international movement of capital, specifically called Lucas's paradox, whose presence adds insight about other possible causes of some capital flows.
