Macadam exquis : le rap français pouvoir et jouissance de l'écriture / Exquisite tarmac : french rap, power and pleasure of writing

Cornet, Mathis 23 June 2015 (has links)
Born out of the Literature and the debates maintained about itself, nevertheless the French rap revives its essential functions ; indeed, due to their participation in the most stubborn scriptural as in the most lively orality, the rappers remind us, by making offering of their voice so to speak, that the poetic writing always consists of an intensive use of the language which, beyond any communicational reach, persists in making spring from words all their prodigious musicality, pictoriality, materiality, and much more. Not "to write well", because this is nothing, but to make the tongue be delirious, in order to return to the essential emotion, to the power and to the pleasure which it brings. Obviously, the rappers say nothing else but what already said Céline, Artaud, to name but a few, about the breathing capacities undoubtedly buried in this official language which undoubtedly will have to be shaken by all the loving, cruel spasms. In a first genesic chapter, we shall tear the French rap that is our corpus, away from the world culture of the hip-hop in order to recognize it the right to particularism, to the very French atavism. We shall see then through the “small invention” of the flow (the expression belongs to Céline), how the rappers reveal this fragile third place between written and orality, the dumb paper (is-it ever, really?) and the throat. This third place is also the one of the strictly suburbanite outskirts which is celebrated over and over again by the rappers. We shall see here how the rappers, rejected to the borders, and thus leaving from a situation of blatant strangeness, knew how to do with this undergone minority a real esthetic of the periphery, but more than that, the privileged angle to proceed to an intensive use of the normative language. To make be delirious the language has a price, which is to be delirious with, and from this experimentation of future evolutions crossing then this poetic writing, which engages even the body of the writer. Thus our last axis of study will be dedicated to this big question of the writing subject in literature to which the rappers seem to have brought a convincing answer and even an usual term, the egotrip.

The effectiveness of grouted macadam at intersections. : A life-cycle cost analysis

Jacobsen, Sofie January 2012 (has links)
Intersections often experience severe rutting in the asphalt concrete layers due to slow moving, high loads, acceleration, deceleration and turning. This thesis aims to investigate the effectiveness of grouted macadam, open graded asphalt with its voids filled with cement grout, as a pavement material at intersections. This was done by investigating the properties of grouted macadam through a literature review and performing a life-cycle cost analysis comparing grouted macadam and asphalt concrete as pavement materials at an intersection. Grouted macadam is found to be similar to asphalt concrete concerning the relation between stiffness and temperature and frequency as well as fatigue behaviour. The main differences are that grouted macadam is stiffer, stronger and not prone to rutting. Thus it would be suitable to address rutting problems. The main drawbacks are that construction demands extra time and precision and that it is expensive compared to asphalt concrete. The life-cycle cost analysis showed that assuming that the grouted macadam has a service life of twenty years and rehabilitation of the asphalt concrete in the form of mill and refill takes place every fourth year the life-cycle costs are approximately the same. A sensitivity analysis was performed that showed that local variations can have large impact on the life-cycle costs. The main conclusion is that grouted macadam can be effective as a pavement material at intersections that experiences severe rutting and frequently reoccurring rehabilitations.

En jämförelsestudie mellan olika ljudisoleringsmaterial i träbjälklag ur ett miljöperspektiv / Comparative research between different sound insulation materials in timber floors from an environmental perspective

Anwia Shlimon, Atrn, Al Jazar, Ahmed January 2019 (has links)
Purpose: The building industry has a big environmental impact. The timber construction can reduce the impact of the industry because timber is an environmentally friendly material. One of the biggest problems with lightweight construction is sound insulation. The aim of this report is to study two floor construction with different sound insulation materials from an environmental perspective. The materials that will be studied in this report are sand and macadam. The aim of the report is to create a clear comparison between these floor layers and to suggest an improvement proposal. Method: The methods that have been used in the report are literature studies, life-cycle assessment, document analysis and interview. The LCA, document analysis and literature studies are the starting point, based on these methods, the first two questions in this paper will be answered. Using the interview was able to conduct information for the last question. Findings: This study has shown that sand has a less environmental impact than what macadam has. The improvement proposal that has been suggested in this study is using sawdust with sand as sound insulations layer. Decreasing the amount of sand in floors can have a positive effect on the environment. Implications: As a conclusion of this paper, it is proven that sand as a sound insulation material is more favorable for the environment than the macadam. The reason is caused by the process of extracting macadam. The process is more complicated and more energy demanding. Another conclusion is that reducing the amount of sand and replacing the missing amount with sawdust can reduce the environmental impact and increase the sound insulation ability. A recommendation for similar papers more abilities could be included in the analysis to provide a more including and fair result. Limitations: This paper is limited to investigate sound insulation materials combined with CLT-slabs exclusively. The methods which have been used provided relevant data to help this paper create conclusions. The goal was to create an all-around answer so that the result could be applicable in other analysis. Keywords: LCA, sand, macadam, lightweight construction, impact sound insulation, environment.

Experimentální navrhování asfaltových směsí / Experimental design of asphalt mixtures

Němec, Jan January 2016 (has links)
The diploma thesis is focused on an experimental design of low-noise asphalt mixtures. The theoretical part describes the problems of noise and methods for noise measurements. There are also specified the characteristics of various low-noise asphalt mixtures. The practical part addresses the experimental design of SMA 8 LA. Subsequently, the mixture is exposed to functional testing and the results are afterwards compared with the conventional type of stone mastix asphalt SMA 8 S. The second part is focused primarily on an experimental mixture design of a specific asphalt mixture type - coated macadam. There is especially solved the issue ofbinder drainage and the proportion of cracked grains during the compaction. The advantage of this mixture is the lower price demands cause by lower binder content and a smaller amount of fine aggregate. This mixture should be used as a base layer for low-loaded (traffic) roads. In the conclusion are thereafter evaluated the knowledge and the experience with the testing and designing of individual mixtures gained during the testing.

Propuesta del uso combinado de Base Macadam con Geotextiles No Tejidos en el proceso constructivo y diseño de la base del pavimento flexible con el fin de reducir los asentamientos en Chorrillos, Lima / Proposal for the combined use of Macadam Base with Non-Woven Geotextiles in the construction process and design of the flexible pavement base in order to reduce settlements in Chorrillos, Lima

Gallardo Quiroz, Angel Manuel, Lopez Cruz, Lizette Alessandra 20 January 2022 (has links)
The following research aims to place Peru in a competitive position at the international level by improving its road infrastructure, this is proposed by proposing an efficient construction system of the base of flexible pavements in saturated soft soils so that they do not suffer large permanent deformations and reduce the number and cost of maintenance applied to the pavement. The need for a better road system is reflected in the short-term basic access gap to infrastructure in the Transportation sector. Due to this, an avenue with serious pathologies in the pavement was selected. It is intended to demonstrate that the proposal presented in this investigation considerably reduces permanent deformations in the pavement structure through the combined use of Macadam base and Non-Woven Geotextiles. The use of both was simulated in test sections on which deflectometry tests were carried out, a section reinforced with Nonwoven Geotextiles and another section without reinforcement. There will be evidence of a decrease in settlements in the reinforced section and an adequate construction process based in the construction of the trials will be developed for the proposal. / Tesis
