Em outros termos, busca contar as histórias dos migrantes e de seus descendentes através de suas memórias. E, mais, narrar como elas produziram a cidade em seus percursos e foram assim construindo estratégias ou modos para se inserirem nela. Ademais, especificamente, me mobilizei com vistas a (i) Investigar de que maneira as experiências dos migrantes, por um lado, e por seus filhos e netos nascidos na metrópole eram, por outro, condicionadas por aspectos identitários específicos (como condição racial e identidade local) e a participação social organizada; (ii) Investigar os mecanismos de vinculação e trânsito familiares estabelecidos por meus interlocutores com seus lugares de origem; (iii) Estudar a prevalência e a importância de estratégias coletivas de inserção, a exemplo de migração em etapas, parcelamento de lotes urbanos, transferência de habitações, reprodução de ofícios e especializações produtivas, entre outras, no âmbito da família estendida e (iv) Apreender as distintas possibilidades abertas à atuação dos sujeitos conforme o gênero, a raça e a classe e as formas encontradas para lidar com as desigualdades / Abstract: The objective of this thesis is make a trajectories ethnography of migrants who left the country of Bahia State and inserted themselves in the city of Salvador, specifically to Subúrbio Ferroviário (Railway Periphery), between 1940s-1980s; in an articulated way, it pursues to observ the urban and social transformations undergone by the city in this period. In other words, it seeks to tell the stories of migrants and their descendants through their memories . And more, to narrate how they produced the city in their path meanwhile they building strategies or measure to inserted themselves. Moreover, specifically, I mobilized myself in a intent to (i) investigate how the migrant experiences on the one hand, and their children and grandchildren which born in the metropolis on the another, were conditioned by specific aspects of identity (such as racial and local identity) and organized social participation; (ii) investigate the familiar mechanisms entail and transit established by my interlocutors with their places of origin , (iii) study the prevalence and importance of insertion collective strategies, like steps migration, urban land installment, housing transference, profession and wrk expertize reproduction, among others ,within the extended family and (iv) to apprehend the different possibilities open to the subjects activity by gender, race, class and forged ways to deal with inequalities / Doutorado / Antropologia Social / Doutora em Antropologia Social
