Design and Performance of an Event Handling and Analysis Platform for vSGSN-MME event using the ELK stack

Bandari Swamy Devender, Vamshi Krishna, Adike, Sneha January 2019 (has links)
Data Logging is the main activity to be considered in maintaining a server or database in working condition without any errors or failures. Data collection can be automatic, so, no human presence is necessary. To store the data of logs for many days and visualizing became a huge problem in recent days. Coming to node SGSN-MME, which is the main component of the GPRS network, which handles all packet switched data within the mobile operator's network. A lot of log data is generated and stored in file systems on the redundant File Server Boards in SGSN-MME node. The evolution of the SGSN-MME is taking it from dedicated, purpose-built, hardware into virtual machines in the Cloud, where virtual file server boards fit very badly. The purpose of this thesis is to give a better way to store the log data and add visualization using the ELK stack concept. Fetching useful information from logs is one of the most important part of this stack and is being done in Logstash using its grok filters and a set of input, filter and output plug-ins which helps to scale this functionality for taking various kinds of inputs ( file,TCP, UDP, gemfire, stdin, UNIX, web sockets and even IRC and twitter and many more) , filter them using (groks, grep, date filters etc.)and finally write output to ElasticSearch. The Research Methodology involved in carrying out this thesis work is a Qualitative approach. A study is carried using the ELK concept with respect to Legacy approach in Ericsson company. A suitable approach and the better possible solution is given to the vSGSN-MME node to store the log data. Also to provide the performance and uses multiple users of input providers and provides the analysis of the graphs from the results and analysis. To perform the tests accurately, readings are taken in defined failure scenarios. From the test cases, a plot is provided on the CPU load in vSGSN-MME which easily gives the suitable and best promising way.

Investigation and development of a verification protocol test tool for LTE

Georgis, Jolian January 2011 (has links)
At Ericsson IoDT test department testing tools are used to control the traffics between the EU and the eNB to check the typical problems issues. By storing these problems in a log file will help mobile vendors to eliminate the mentioned problems by developing solutions for more significant products. The IoDT needed to develop the testing results even further for more specific results. The purpose of this thesis is to developing the LogTool to make it easier for the IoDT testing group to read the log files, whereas the implemented results from the log files simplifies for the testing group. To make this happens; the LogTool was developed by creating a new Analyzer that analyses the log file and presents the results in a way which makes it easier to be read. The Analyzer was created using Eclipce program as RCP plug-in, in Java programming language. The new Analyzer managed to print the results in a simpler way for the CQI and MCS test. Basically, the new Analyzer was created and implemented in standardized way that make it possible to be developed even further in the future without losing its’ functionality. This procedure was achieved regarding the needed requirements of Ericsson and Linköping University. This document will guide the reader through the steps that used to accomplish the project with illustrating figures, methods and code examples in order to give a closer vision of the work.

Le pathétique et la femme : l'écriture romanesque féminine du pathos dans les années charnières 1678-1720 / Women and the Pathetic : The Women Fiction Writing of the Concept of Pathos in the Pivotal Years 1678-1720

Besbes-Bannour, Faïka 17 June 2011 (has links)
The period between 17th century and the early stages of the Enlightenment is a pivotal one in fiction writing. This is not only because the concept of pathos acquired a profane dimension, but also a moral rehabilitation and an aesthetic development that contributed to make of it a major literary trend by the end of 17th century. However, the concept of pathos and the way it was developed in the women narratives of 17th century has hardly been the subject of any thorough readings. Moreover, the studies focusing on the fiction of that period, did not suggest any input to the concepts of pathos or the pathetic in their index table. To avoid the dangerous side of passion, the writers under focus, are proven to incline themselves to verbal linguistic censorship that pins down the exalting dimension of the passionate discourse. This censorship over-emphasizes both the crisis of the love subject and the failure of communication. As an alternative ! to the narrow dialogic space where pathos could have been expressed; women writers relied on the expressiveness of the body and the non-verbal language. Meta-linguistic signs pervade the texts, emphasizing both the dispositio and the elocutio of fiction; creating, thus, a space where love intrigues could be voiced. A space that makes of silences, gazes and tears important modalities of a new communication strategy implying a constant hermeneutical work. A thorough examination of the novels of Mme de Lafayette and Catherine Bernard, allow us to demonstrate that the tendency of women fiction writing towards somberness and pithiness, is a kind of evolution that owes much to the representation of the concept of the pathetic.

Traduction et écriture féminine : de Madame de Lafayette à Sibilla Aleramo, Renata Debenedetti et Rosetta Loy (à propos de La Princesse de Clèves) / Translation and women's writing : from Madame de Lafayette to Sibilla Aleramo, Renata Debenedetti and Rosetta Loy (about The Princess of Cleves)

Brizzi, Dominique 29 October 2015 (has links)
Three Italian translations of The Princess of Cleves, made in Italy in the twentieth century by women who marked in various ways the Italian literary life of their time, are the starting point of our analysis: Sibilla Aleramo’s in 1933, Renata Debenedetti’s in 1988 and then Rosetta Loy’s in 1999. The evolution of the historical and sociocultural context as well as the different status of these three women allow us to study the variation of production constraints and reception conditions of these translations. The choice of some extracts from Madame de Lafayette’s novel consents to highlight the main features of the text and understand the translation problems that this arises. This novel, the first in modern European literature written by a woman and published anonymously, continues to question and fascinate women writers many centuries later. The relationship between women's writing and translation is then questioned. Subsequently, the relationship between translation’s choices and their personality of writers and intellectuals leads to the study of their works whose recurring stylistic and thematic characteristics evoke the notion of “feminine writing”.

Lignereux, Cécile 26 November 2009 (has links)
This thesis analyses the stylistic means by which Mme de Sévigné appropriates the ideal of tenderness and builds an ethical category suited to the particularities of the relationship with her daughter. It emphasizes therefore how historical and ideological circumstances must be taken into account to understand Mme de Sévigné’ s epistolary style in a specific cultural context.

Generation and Validation of Network Configuration for Evolved Packet Core

Jonnalagadda, Rohith Reddy January 2018 (has links)
Context: In the recent times, Industries are employing network function virtualization (NFV) for improved deployment flexibility, built for the most demanding environments. The benefits of Ericsson virtual Evolved Packet Core includes all the benefits of NFV and provides verified solutions addressing a large number of vertical use-cases. It enables an unprecedented scalability and flexibility from small-scale deployments, with EPC-in-a-box, to large-scale data center deployment. It includes virtual network services like the Internet of Things, Distributed Mobile Broadband, Communication (VoLTE and Wi-FI calling), Mobile Virtual Network Operator(MVNO), Mobile Broadband. Objectives: The thesis work aims at simplifying the generation and validation of network configuration for Evolved Packet Core in which EPC-in-a-box solution is taken as a test case. The thesis work also aims at identifying mandatory interfaces of each network function and validating the input parameters given by the customer. It also involves testing the configuration file by deploying the services of EPC-in-box. Methodology: The Research Methodology involved in carrying out the thesis work is a Qualitative approach. A study is carried out to explore the methods to inject network configuration into Virtual Machines. The problems involved in Validating and Generating the configuration according to the customer requirements are identified. A suitable method is developed to simplify the process. Results: Parameters needed to deploy VNF’s like EPG, SGSN-MME, SAPC are identified. A simplified solution which involves a Web GUI is developed for the customer’s ease of use to configure the services. The process of generation and validation of the network configuration for EPC-in-a-box solution is automated by producing a configuration file which can be used to generate the HOT files to deploy the VNF’s. Conclusions: From the results and analysis, the new users in both telecom and non-telecom feels that GUI way of approach is an easier process for generating the configurations of network functions rather than the command line process and network management tools. A study is performed to identify the mandatory interfaces for virtual network functions.

Jennerhed, Corinne January 2016 (has links)
The aim of this Bachelor’s thesis is to do an analysis of the novel of Choderlos de Laclos Dangerous liaisons and to answer to four important questions: How are men and women depicted in the novel of Choderlos de Laclos and what is the nature of the relations between the characters of both sexes. Is it a condemnation or an illustration and defense of the libertinage ? Which were the moral effects of this novel upon the society of the 18th century ? What was the writer’s attitude towards women ? To answer these four important questions, we have decided to do an analysis of the novel, but also to put the focus on the sociology of literature, more exactly on the horizon of expectation and the reception of the work. We have used the correspondence between M. Choderlos de Laclos and Mrs Riccoboni in order to establish the author’s attitude towards women. In conclusion, we will demonstrate that the writer was advanced for his time and was not a misogynist as he tried to improve the education of women.
