La lettre comme lieu d’invention d’un destin littéraire : le cas de Félicité Angers (Laure Conan)

Savoie, Marie-Pier 23 April 2018 (has links)

Od utrpení k naději: tři Mystéria Charlese Péguyho / From the Suffering to the Hope: Three Mysteries of Charles Péguy

Boková, Zdeňka January 2013 (has links)
(in English): The aim of the thesis is to analyze three selected works of Charles Péguy: Le Mystère de la charité de Jeanne d'Arc, Le Mystère du porche de la deuxième vertu and Le Mystère des saints Innocents. The particular Mysteries will be divided into main thematic units and their primary development lines will be researched. Subsequently, there will be observed the thematic evolution of all three works and their interconnection. Both their differences and their common topics will be assessed. It will be reflected what suffering and hope mean to the author and in which manner are these key themes expressed in the text. Then the concentration will be focused on the nature and development of the main characters, and their connection to the author's life. Equally, it will be necessary to mention the author's theology, his attitude towards the church practice of that time and the resulting influence on his work. Finally, there will be synthesized the message of this three selected works.

Lettres d'une Peruvienne: An Enlightenment Utopian Novel

Weir, Susan Leigh 30 June 1995 (has links)
This thesis examines Franc;oise de Graffigny's eighteenthcentury novel, Lettres d'une Peruvienne. focusing on the aspects that demonstrate its consideration as a utopian work, or moreover, as a feminist utopian work. The first chapter is developed from the premise about utopian fiction that the author's life must be considered since it is out of his or her "lived social experience" that utopian visions are born. Utopias, many have argued, are born out of reactions to social inequities and injustices. This chapter thus presents and analyzes, Graffigny's life especially where it shows needs for a future utopia. The second chapter explores definitions of utopias, especially feminist literary utopias, in order to build a framework for analyzing Graffigny's work. It will be shown that this novel exhibits many of the traits found in a woman's utopia as opposed to those found in a man's. The third and fourth chapters directly analyze the text, Lettres d'une Peruvienne, using the research from the previous chapters as the groundwork to draw out the utopian aspects of the novel.

Vem ryms i modellen? - En studie om konflikthanteringsmodeller och ADHD

Carlsson, Erik January 2021 (has links)

Compression Algorithm in Mobile Packet Core

Poranki, Lakshmi Nishita January 2020 (has links)
Context: Data compression is the technique that is used for the fast transmission of the data and also to reduce the storage size of the transmitted data. Data compression is the massive and ubiquitous technology where almost every communication company make use of data compression. Data compression is categorized mainly into lossy and lossless data compression. Ericsson is the telecommunication company that deals with millions of user data and, all these data get compressed using the Deflate compression algorithm. Due to the compression ratio and compression speed, the deflate algorithm is not optimal for the present use case(compress twice and decompress once) of Ericsson. This research is all about finding the best alternate algorithm which suits the current use case so that the deflate algorithm can replace it. Objectives: The objective of the research is to replace the Deflate algorithm with the algorithm, which is useful for compressing the Serving GPRS Support Node-Mobility Management Entity(SGSN-MME) user data effectively. The main objectives to achieve this goal are: Investigating the better algorithm which fits the SGSN-MME compression patterns, investigating the few alternate algorithms for Deflate algorithm, the SGSN- MME dataset used to perform experimentation, the experiment should perform by using all selected algorithms on the dataset, the results of the experiment were compared based on the compression factors, based on the performance of algorithm the Deflate algorithm will get replaced with the suitable algorithm. Methods: In this research, a literature review performed to investigate the alternate algorithms for the Deflate algorithm. After selecting the algorithm, an experiment conducted on the data which was provided by Ericsson AB, Gothenburg and based on the compression factors like compression ratio, compression speed the performance of the algorithm evaluated. Results: By analyzing the results of the experiment, Z-standard is the better performance algorithm with the optimal compression sizes, compression ratio, and compression speed. Conclusions: This research concludes by identifying an alternate algorithm that can replace the Deflate algorithm and also which is suitable for the present Use case.

Mme. de Pompadour: Self Promotion and Social Performance through Architecture and the Decorative Arts

Boyd, Kelly Elizabeth 12 May 2012 (has links)
The structure of this thesis relies on the physical locations of Mme. de Pompadour. Although the chapters are roughly chronological, beginning with her arrival at Versailles in 1745 and ending with her death in 1764, this work makes no attempt to comprehensively chronicle the entirety of her involvement in the decorative arts. Rather, it focuses on several specific aspects of her patronage, with the goal of illuminating her social position and public image, and how she worked to control the two. Chapter One deals with the first rooms Mme. de Pompadour inhabited, from 1745-1750. These upper apartments characterize her early attempts to convey meaning through décor and to shape social interactions within a constructed environment. Chapter Two follows Mme. de Pompadour’s move downstairs, to the lower apartments in 1750. This move parallels an important evolution in her role at court and seeks to explore how her newly political functions were expressed through these interior spaces. Chapter Three is more expansive, examining three architectural projects undertaken by Mme. de Pompadour and Louis XV on her behalf, over the course of her nineteen years at court. These independent homes represented an opportunity for Mme. de Pompadour to actively work to change public perception of herself and her role, an opportunity that she did not waste.

Improved understanding and control of Mg-doped GaN by plasma assisted molecular beam epitaxy

Burnham, Shawn David 18 June 2007 (has links)
By an improved understanding of Mg-doped GaN through an exhaustive review of current limitations, increased control over the material was achieved by addressing several of these issues. To address the issues of the memory effect, low sticking coefficient and high vapor pressure of Mg, a new Mg dopant source was implemented, characterized and modeled for p-type doping of GaN. The device enhanced the sticking coefficient of Mg by energizing the outgoing Mg flux, and also allowed the first reported demonstration of an abrupt junction between two non-zero Mg concentrations and a graded Mg-doped GaN film. The significant compensation of Mg acceptors at high dopant concentrations was used advantageously to develop a new ex situ resistivity analysis technique using the energy distributions of SIMS to characterize doping of buried layers. The new technique was used to identify the barrier between conductive and resistive Mg doping for increased Mg concentration, which was then used to optimize Mg-doped GaN. Because Mg doping exhibits a dependence upon the growth regime, a new growth and regime characterization technique was developed using specific RHEED intensity responses to repeat growth conditions. During the development of this technique, a new surface kinetics growth model for III-nitrides was discovered based on DMS observations, which suggests preferential buildup of the metal bilayer before growth begins with an unfamiliar cation-anion exchange process initially upon metal shutter opening. Using the new RHEED growth and regime characterization technique, a new growth technique called metal modulated epitaxy (MME) was developed to increase repeatability, uniformity and smoothness. The MME technique was enhanced with a closed-loop control using real-time feedback from RHEED transients to control shutter transitions. This enhancement, called smart shuttering, led to improved growth rate and further improvement of surface roughness and grain size, which were repeatable within low percentages. Effects of smart-shuttering MME were observed with Si, Mg and In during GaN growths. Repeatable Mg-doped GaN was achieved with a variation of less than 8%, and a peak hole carrier concentration of 4.7E18 cm^-3.
