Systém vzdělávání v Armádě České republiky s důrazem na motivaci / Education in the Czech Armed Forces with emphasis on motivation

Building on in-depth study of specialist literature, the present diploma thesis seeks to define the Czech Armed Forces' education system and determine whether the system is motivating enough for the Czech Armed Forces service personnel. The practical goal was to identify opportunities to improve academic training of employees in military organisations, for which a questionnaire survey was used to establish opinions of Czech Armed Forces service personnel on the provision of their education and academic training, their attitude on the need to study foreign languages, usability of languages in their service assignments as well as ascertaining importance of education as a motivating factor for people to join the Czech Armed Forces. The following methods were used to achieve the objectives: induction and deduction, study and analysis of texts and documents, comparison, focus groups, participant observation and interviewing. The goal set for the thesis was achieved, as has been proven by the means of established hypothesises and their verification. The methods employed ascertained that the Czech Armed Forces has a well set system of service personnel training that facilitates an effective education system management.

The subject of my theses is the analysis of employees' satisfaction in a concrete company. The goal is to discover weaknesses in this area through a survey on employees' contentment and consequently creating a concept of how to improve current status in particular areas. The theoretical part includes specification of basic terms, clarifies importance of research of employees' contentment and presents results from other surveys. It also deals with particular elements of staff contentment and specifics of work in restaurant facilities. The practical part shows the application of theory into the business practice through actual research of employees' contentment in the restaurant XY. The survey focuses on employees' reflection in respect of selected areas of their work contentment. It uses a questionnaire and interview as research methods. The final output of the theses consists of recommendations and suggestions which should increase staff contentment in the chosen restaurant.

Potential of virtual worlds in commercial utilization / Možnosti virtuálních světu pro komerční využití

Thesis is concerned by virtual worlds and possibilities of their utilization other than are their original purposes. The objectives of this paper are to confront virtual worlds with mass media and their utilization. The author wants to show that virtual worlds are in many aspects similar to mass media. The author also shows possible utilization of virtual worlds for commercial companies, non-profit organizations, research and individuals. Work shows possible options for usage of virtual worlds together with option to cooperate with providers of the virtual world. This cooperation may take two forms. Content alternation means that providers of the virtual world change items or places inside the virtual world into the form desired by client. Providers may even sell their data about events inside the virtual world, thus clients may obtain unique data about human behavior and reaction to e.g. propagation campaign. Confrontation of virtual worlds with the mass media and describing possible utilizations that come from this confrontation, make content of this paper is original.

This dissertation thesis is focused on employee job performance motivation and development. The theoretical part of this thesis was analysed current scientific knowledge in the field of human resources management, performance management and motivation which was further verified practically by a questionnaire survey in a particular company, which is a local branch of an international organization. The questionnaire survey was designed to allow comparison with the market. Based on these findings have been identified weaknesses that were found in practice while applying the concept of performance management. Analysis of survey and available resources were the basis for the creation of a new model of motivating approach to staff development within the application of the concept of performance management. This model has been applied in practice, particularly in the company, which carried out a questionnaire survey. By mentioned above, the objective of the dissertation thesis was filled.

This thesis deals with the employee benefits at the level local government. This work wants to show through questionnaire to confirm or disprove a hypothesis about impact of employee benefits on the motivation, job satisfaction and possibly performance of staffer of municipalities in Sadská and Městec Králové. In the first part I describe the terms like motivation, satisfaction and performance. After explain the problem of motivation and performance in public administration and finally describe a theoretic attitude to the employee benefits. The empirical part is dedicated to the analysis of impact of employee benefits on the job satisfaction and performance at employees both chosen municipalities. This part include a intepretation of solutions, comparison these municipalities and proposal recommendations on possible improvements.

This diploma thesis dealt with the topic - Motivation and burnout syndrome of social workers. With the help of professional literature, three theoretical chapters were prepared, which dealt with motivation, burnout syndrome and supervision. Each of the three chapters consisted of several small subchapters, which dealt with the subtopics of the factor. The aim of this diploma thesis was to find out how motivated, demotivated or burnout workers in social services are. With the help of questionnaires with social workers, the results for the given goal were found. At the end of this diploma thesis, the questionnaire was presented as an appendix.

1 Abstract In my diploma thesis, I cover primarily the interests of students accommodated at school hostels. Not only interests in the accommodation facility are examined, but also in free time outside the school hostel. The research was carried out by a questionnaire survey and also by an interview with pupils. The aim of the work is to find out what interests are preferred by students at school hostels and outside it. Furthermore, there is the question of whether students agree with the schedule and responsibilities and whether students prefer individual spending time together over common. The work also addresses how the interests of pupils differ according to age and how the popularity of activities contrasts between men and women. The theoretical part deals with the definition of basic concepts (for example, adolescence, school hostel, interests, leisure). The practical part describes the outcomes of the research survey. These are shown in graphs and tables.

Využití moderních technologií v procesu zvýšení a udržení dlouhodobé motivace k pohybové aktivitě / The use of modern technologies in the process of increasing and maintaining long-term motivation for physical activity

The diploma thesis focuses on the topic of motivation for physical activity. Possibilities of increasing motivation by creating optimal conditions for fulfillment of three basic psychological needs, in combination with optimal goal setting process using smartphone apps are discussed. The theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to the theory of self-determination and its` contribution in context of motivation for physical activity. The thesis also focuses on gamified environment used in the smartphone apps. Gamification elements are suitable for use in goal-setting context, as well as in a pursuit of fulfillment of three basic psychological needs. The research focuses on the use of smartphone apps for goal-setting purposes and influence of the set goals on increasing the average daily number of steps. In the sample of 100 participants, a statistically significant effect of goal on the average number of steps performance was observed during a 28-day period of the study. An influence of different goal difficulty on performance was also questioned, without significant effect on performance to have been found.
