The primary objective of submitted study is the construction of SCIENCE CENTER in České Budějovice. The building is conceived as an informal education center of a regional nature, which focuses on popularization of science and new technologies. Emphasis is placed on interactive concept of the exposition and the possibility to test newly acquired knowledge. Reduction of energy use and service staff size by means of high-level automatization of operational processes management are other important factors of buildings design. The resulting shape of the object follows the mass nature and geometry of its immediate surroundings.

This work describes industrial and knight family Bartoň from Dobenín situated on the castle Nové Hrady. I concentrated on the lifetime history of some important members of this family from the begining to the end of the 20th century. A special focus has been given on the castle Nové Hrady, which is extraordinary architectural jewel, situated in the Czech Republic. The castle Nové Hrady is connected with some important names, for example Jan Ludvík and Jan Antonín Harbuval de Chamaré or architect Josef Jäger and others. There is another important family of Čerych. The current owners Mr. and Mrs. Kučera are trying to bring back its previous glance. Were the members of the Bartoň family from Dobenín different from the ordinary people living in that time? Has the knighthood changed them in some way? You can find the answers in this work. Diploma thesis is focused on understanding problematic of sedimentation in reservoirs with relation on flood episodes. For creating numerical model was necessary to ensure data about morphology of the river, granular composition of the riverbed and hydrology data. In thesis is written how were obtained these documentations, description of creating numerical model in program HEC – RAS 5.0.7. and results of done simulations of real flood episodes, which took place in years 2004, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2013. Output is evaluation each flood episode, description of grain class curves and evaluation of yearly flow before change of riverbed due to transport of sediments and after change of morphology of riverbed.

The diploma thesis focus on evaluation of co-operative housing construction as one of the way from current credit crisis of financing of housing construction. Specifies and evaluate individual types of financig of new housing construction and apply it on model example. Evaluation is based on analysis of present circumstances of housing construction and trend of mortgage loans. In this evaluation also looks at subvene of new housing construction. At the same time looks on an alternative of non-profit co-operative housing construction.

The thesis deals with silting of water reservoir Nové Heřminovy. There's describe design of artificial traffic and evaluate its effectiveness. To determine the flow of sediment into the reservoir with use a partially calibrated one-dimensional numerical model of sediment transport with deformation of bed is made in software HEC-RAS. Silting reservoirs is assessment with two methods, the results are compared and describes their limitations. Reservoirs silting evaluates through volume changes in reservoir storage in time.

Diploma work New Flesh? The Limits of the Body in the Films by David Cronenberg deals with the human body as one of the main motives in the filmography of the Canadian director David Cronenberg. Its mission is to implicate new approaches to the human body in the theories of postmodern philosophy, philosophy of media and posthuman therories, which fundamentally transform the principles of previously applied concept of body and mind dualism and point out that media and new technologies has a significant influence on our perception of a human body. New approaches to the human flesh and fleshliness are applied in the final part of this work through the interpretation of selected movies by David Cronenberg - Videodrome and eXistenZ. The main point of this work is to show the complete change of conception and perception of the human flesh, which is summary reviewing here as a "new flesh". The goal of the thesis is to analyze war customs of Tarahumara people of northern Mexico during colonial era. The work focuses on technological aspects of warfare like weaponry, strategy and tactics, as well as social phenomenas like taking captives, using of witchcraft and role of violence in Tarahumara culture. 17th century conflicts are seen as part of the process, which has caused significant changes in tarahumaran perception of war an it's role in society. Analysis of this process is the another goal of this work. Further subject of interest are conflicts with the other native groups in the region and influence of tarahumara armed resistance to changes in attitude of colonial institutions. The work is based on sources of the ecclesiastical origin - reports, letters and chronicles of missionaries, as well as correspondence of viceroyal officials and records of military commanders operating in tarahumara region. This thesis concentrates on the new member states of the European Union and their convergent processes. It is particularly focused on five Central European countries -- the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia, which became the members of the European Union on 1st May 2004. The first chapter deals with the countries during their preparation process for the membership in the EU, the meeting the Copenhagen Criteria and their economic development. The second chapter is focused on the development of Central European countries in the EU. There is featured the development in the first years of their membership and during the economic crisis and the recovery. The third chapter concentrates on the processes of the real and nominal convergence in the Central Europe. Besides monitoring various stages of convergence over time there is documented the course of the convergence by the calculation of beta convergence in the European Union. At the end of the thesis there is outlined the relationship between the degree of nominal and real convergence in the concerned countries.

The thesis describes historical development of the Internet wordwide, in the Czech republic and analyzes the situation of Internet users in current czech enviroment. It shows a potential growth of global Internet users until the year 2030. A special attention is applied on the current trends of Internet marketing including e-mail marketing, SEM, banners, blogs and viral marketing. The aim of the diploma thesis is to uncover new trends in on-line marketing -- mobile and video marketing, social networks, location based marketing, virtual worlds, discount portals and others. This theoretical data are used in the case study recommanding appropriate usage of Internet marketing tools for REAL HAPPY HOME, Ltd.

Thesis "The influence of suburbanization on segregation processes in urban and rural settlements" analyzes suburbanization, as the process of transformation of urban structure. Based on the formulated objectives and hypotheses, using a combination of theoretical knowledge and self-evaluation of data on the administrative district of municipality with extended powers Nove Mesto nad Metuji, analyzes segregation as a result of suburbanization processes. The conclusion brings the selected possibilities of solving the problem of segregation and recommendations.
