The development and testing of two scales measuring creativity in engineering and vocational interest is reported. Concerning the scale of vocational interest an algorithm for the efficient tailoring of such scales is proposed. In case of specific creativity the difficulties of the measurement are discussed and first solutions developed.

Vřeteník a hlavní vřeteno horizontálního soustružnického centra / Headstock and main spindle of horizontal turning centerSuda, Martin January 2019 (has links)
The thesis deals with headstock and spindle of the universal turning center. In the introduction part is a destription of the headstock morfology. It describe how the spindle and headstock can be solved in terms of its bearing, installation, used clamping interface, lubrrication, cooling and sealing. The second part is devoted to the universals turning machines which are available on the market. In the final part is the practical solution of the headstock and spindle on which can be performed for milling and drilling operation instead of turning.

Vvoj multifunkÄnho obrbÄcho centra / Design of a multi-tasking machine toolMacek, Robin January 2020 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of a selected structural part of multi-tasking machine tool. The solved construction part is the design of a turning table with the possibility of positioning with specified parameters. The research part is focused on CNC machine tools, multi-tasking machine tools and individual parts of turning tables with possible positioning. In a design part, the design of design variants of possible solutions is made and the choice of the design solution is made with the help of multicriteria analysis. Subsequently, the selected design solution is processed with the help of the necessary technical calculations. The result of the work is then a 3D model and the required drawing documentation.

Zánětem vyvolané změny v expresi kanabinoidních receptorů v ptačím mozku / Inflammation-associated changes in cannabinoid receptor expression in avian brainDivín, Daniel January 2020 (has links)
(EN) Research in interactions between the nervous and immune systems is focused mainly on mammals, while in other vertebrates, including birds, it remains neglected. Two types of cannabinoid receptors interconnect the nervous and immune systems: CB1, which is in mammals involved in regulation of neural processes, and CB2, which is in mammals involved in regulation of immune processes. However, little is presently known about the roles of these receptors in nervous and especially immune processes in birds. Therefore, in this work I focus on the expression of cannabinoid receptors in cognitively advanced bird species (parrots, passerines) during induced sterile peritoneal inflammation. Unlike passerines, parrots appear to lack the gene for CB2, which may affect the inflammation regulation. I have revealed no changes in the expression of these receptors during peritoneal inflammation neither in parrots, nor in songbirds. Nevertheless, the increase in expression of the proinflammatory cytokine IL- 1β in the brain in parrots confirms the importance of neuroimmune interaction and mutual influences along the gut-brain axis. This work suggests that even in birds, the central nervous system is affected by inflammation through the gut-brain axis. The expression of cannabinoid receptors does not change much...

Potential Mechanisms Connecting Asthma, Esophageal Reflux, and Obesity/Sleep Apnea Complex-A Hypothetical ReviewKasasbeh, Aiman, Kasasbeh, Ehab, Krishnaswamy, Guha 01 February 2007 (has links)
Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and asthma are potentially linked at several levels. The pathophysiology of these two conditions seems to overlap significantly, as airway obstruction, inflammation, obesity, and several other factors are implicated in the development of both diseases. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), cardiovascular complications, obesity itself, and the underlying inflammatory processes are all complex contributory factors that provide hypothetical links. Furthermore, a collateral rise in prevalence of both OSA and asthma has been noticed during the past few years, occurring in association with the emerging epidemic of obesity, a common risk factor for both conditions. OSA and asthma share many other risk factors as well. We propose a hypothetical OSA-asthma relationship that has implications on the diagnosis and management of patients presenting with either condition singly. Clinicians should be aware that OSA might complicate asthma management. Based on this hypothesis, we suggest that the treatment of the individual patient who experiences both asthma and OSA needs to be multidisciplinary and comprehensive. This hypothetical association of asthma and OSA, though described anecdotally, has not been systematically studied. In particular, the influence of continuous positive airway pressure therapy (for sleep apnea) on asthma outcomes (such as quality of life, steroid utilization, emergency room visits) and fatality needs to be studied further.

Střevní mikrobiota a poruchy nálady / Intestinal microbiota and mood disordersAmbrožová, Lucie January 2016 (has links)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biological and Medical Sciences Candidate: Lucie Ambrožová Supervisor: Doc. MUDr. Josef Herink, DrSc. Title of diploma thesis: Intestinal microbiota and mood disorders The intestinal microbiom is composed mainly of two dominated strains - Bacteroidetes and Firmicutes. The other strains are just not numerous like the previous ones. The specimens have the invariable core of microbiom which doesn't change in time. Nevertheless they have also the transient gut bacteria, which change during their life. Intestinal microbiom is influenced by many factors. Between them we can categorize for example the way of the childbirth, the breast - feeding, the alimentation, the state of health, and the medicaments. Every specimen has own specific microbiom. It was found that human population is possible to divide into three intestinal groups or enterotypes. To each enterotype dominates different bacterial strain. It was proved that intestinal microbiom communicates with the brain and it works also vice versa. This communication system is called "brain - intestine" and takes several ways in several body systems (such as nervous, endocrine, metabolic, and immune). To normal development of the brain is needed the right colonisation of non...
