Modélisation physique de la température des cours d'eau à l'échelle régionale : application au bassin versant de la Loire / Physical modelling of stream water temperature at a regional scale : Loire bassin case study

Beaufort, Aurélien 17 February 2015 (has links)
This work corresponds to the development of two physically based modeling approaches based on the equilibrium temperature concept to simulate the stream temperature at the Loire basin scale (105 km²). The performances of these two approaches are analyzed with hourly temperatures provided by the national thermal network associated with rivers (RNT), set up by the ONEMA in 2008. A first part focuses on the study of the 0D approach which solves the heat budget at the local scale. This approach has been tested with a simplified discretization by Strahler order and then with a discretization at the hydrographical reach scale. They simulated accurately hourly and daily temperatures for large rivers where the upstream influence becomes limited. The second part focuses on the approach by propagation based on a network topology in order to integrate the upstream-downstream propagation of the thermal signal with high spatial and temporal resolution at a regional scale which improves performances of rivers located near headwaters and to well reproduces the dynamics of longitudinal thermal profiles for large rivers.

Zdůvodnění věčnosti v časech / Rationale of eternity in times

Hlavešová, Ilona January 2021 (has links)
The thesis "The justification of eternity in times" addresses the relationship of the entity whose existence is modally necessary to the times of the entities of contingent existence, whose existence is defined by creation and termination, i.e., by the two poles of existence. The solution of this relationship is the answer to Panneberg's question about the relationship of eternity to the space-time structure of the universe. The approach to solving this problem is analyzed in the introductory chapter. Entities of contingent existence - beings - can be considered from the point of view of existence as polar entities, while the modally necessary one, which neither comes into existence nor ceases to exist, spans in its existence the poles of existence of all beings - it is therefore supra-polar in this sense. Time is needed to express the impermanence of the existence of beings. The fact that entities of contingent existence must exist in time raises the question of the relation of the modally necessary entity to time. The formal-logical expression of the relation of modally necessary entities to the times of modally contingent entities is discussed in second chapter. Sufficient conditions are given here for such an existence of a modally necessary entity which can be said to be of unbounded duration...

Návrhové prvky turbo-okružních křižovatek / Design elements turbo-roundabouts

Smělý, Martin Unknown Date (has links)
Dissertation describes new methodology of design turbo-roundabouts in Czech Republic. Especially innovative is approach to the design of traffic lanes with regards to standard vehicles and widening of traffic lanes according to their dimensions. Innovative is also approach to road signs, where details of current signs are modified, however, these details are important for drivers’ better understanding while driving through turbo-roundabouts. Dissertation fills legislative, but also technical, blank spot during turbo-roundabouts design and I believe that it will benefit particularly designers of these intersections.

A Physically Based Pipeline for Real-Time Simulation and Rendering of Realistic Fire and Smoke / En fysiskt baserad rörledning för realtidssimulering och rendering av realistisk eld och rök

He, Yiyang January 2018 (has links)
With the rapidly growing computational power of modern computers, physically based rendering has found its way into real world applications. Real-time simulations and renderings of fire and smoke had become one major research interest in modern video game industry, and will continue being one important research direction in computer graphics. To visually recreate realistic dynamic fire and smoke is a complicated problem. Furthermore, to solve the problem requires knowledge from various areas, ranged from computer graphics and image processing to computational physics and chemistry. Even though most of the areas are well-studied separately, when combined, new challenges will emerge. This thesis focuses on three aspects of the problem, dynamic, real-time and realism, to propose a solution in form of a GPGPU pipeline, along with its implementation. Three main areas with application in the problem are discussed in detail: fluid simulation, volumetric radiance estimation and volumetric rendering. The weights are laid upon the first two areas. The results are evaluated around the three aspects, with graphical demonstrations and performance measurements. Uniform grids are used with Finite Difference (FD) discretization scheme to simplify the computation. FD schemes are easy to implement in parallel, especially with ComputeShader, which is well supported in Unity engine. The whole implementation can easily be integrated into any real-world applications in Unity or other game engines that support DirectX 11 or higher.

Modelování a animace biologických struktur / Modeling and animation of biological structures

Matulík, Martin Unknown Date (has links)
Following work deals with subject matter of digital modelling and animation of biological structures. Software tools for computer generated images (CGI), well proven in common practice, are evaluated, as well as tools for specific activities, available inside chosen software environment. Among vast pool of modelling approaches are discussed tools suitable for creation and representation of selected structures, along with tools essential for their consequent animation. Possible rendering approaches and their parameters in relation to qualities of resulting computer-generated images are discussed as well. Above-mentioned approaches will be consequently utilized for modelling, physical simulation and animation of erythrocyte’s flow throughout blood vessel in following project. Resulting output of that work will be based on series of digital images, suitable for creating video-sequence containing abovementioned animation in end-user digestible form.
