"Och förutom det så ska man ju göra allt som står i läroplanen också…Då blir man svettig!” : Undersökning baserad på intervjuer, observationer och enkäter / "And besides that you have to do everything that curriculum says... That can make you sweat" : Investigation based on  questionnaires, observations and interviews

Schüssler, Nadine, Troyan, Yana, Seferouglou, Sofia January 2018 (has links)
The purpose of the study is to gain knowledge about which scope for action and tasks are included in the organisation of educational activities on the preschool and which competences are lifted up by preschool teacher to conduct educational activities. The database consists of questionnaires, observations and interviews at the municipal and multicultural preschools located in Stockholm. The study is anchored in sociocultural theory and  framefaktor theory. Questions and  results are presented thematically and are divided into three thematic sections: How preschool teachers organised pedagogical activities in preschool with their preconditions. How preschool teachers organise education time in preschool. Which are the most important competencies of preschool teacher?   Results show that preschool teachers use their subjective scope of action to create the education that is able to meet the requirements of the curriculum. Subdivision of the children's group into smaller groups often takes place during the day as a necessary tool in terms of teaching and organising of education activities. This article problematizes the teachers' expression of scope of action and planning time in the organisation of educational activities. The competences of the preschool teacher are complex and multidimensional.

O Centro Regional de Pesquisas Educacionais de São Paulo (1956-1961).

Ferreira, Márcia dos Santos 20 June 2001 (has links)
A survey of documents and bibliography was made, for the purpose of elaborating a descriptive overview of the activities occurring in the Centro Regional de Pesquisas Educacionais de São Paulo (CRPE/SP) ? Regional Center for Education Researches of São Paulo ? during the years from 1956 to 1961, the period when Fernando de Azevedo was the General Director. By a survey of the researches, courses and other activities developed by the CRPE/SP, in the period corresponding to its establishment and first years of operation, it is presented the importance of Anísio Teixeira in the creation of this institution that had as its main objective the reconstruction of Brazilian education through the use of knowledge obtained from the social sciences. The concepts of Anísio Teixeira and the group of scholars gathered for the activities taking place at the Center ? Fernando de Azevedo, Florestan Fernandes, Dante Moreira Leite, among others ? were that educational practices would reach scientific status as they used theoretical and methodological means, typical of the social sciences, to investigate and ponder about its problems. The work of description of the activities developed at the Center allowed the selection of four themes that have showed up repeatedly in the work produced by the scholars associated with the institution. They are: Education and Social Sciences; Socioeconomic Development, Cultural Changes and Education; Scientific Research and Educational Planning; and Procedural Steps of the Law of Policies and Basis of Nationwide Education (LDBEN). Added to the descriptive work and presentation of the themes under discussion, there are also considerations about the ideological context of these times, taking into account the drive for development of the Juscelino Kubitschek presidency, the ideology of development of the ISEB and the position of the Center relative to the debates then underway. As a consequence of that, the divergences between \"paulistas\" and \"ISEBian\" scholars are also presented, as well as the bonds existing between the Center and the Faculdade de Filosofia, Ciências e Letras da USP. Besides using the available bibliography about the Center, the survey of documents was made by access to the Archives of the CRPE/SP in the Centro de Memória da Educação (Center for the Preservation of the Memories of Education) of USP; the Fernando Azevedo Archives in the Institute Brazilian Studies of USP; the Anísio Teixeira Archives of the Center for Research and Documentation of the Recent History of Brazil (CPDOC) of the Getulio Vargas Foundation; the Annual Reports on the Activities of the Center, in the Historic Files of INEP; to issues of the Pesquisa e Planejamento (Research & Planning) magazine (bulletin of the 10 CRPE/SP) and the Educação e Ciências Sociais (Education & Social Sciences) magazine (bulletin of the CBPE) published in the period being studied; and the Estudos e Documentos (Studies & Documents) series (published by the CRPE/SP). The description of the activities of the Center and the study of the bond present between the institution and the Faculdade de Filosofia da USP enabled us to evaluate its success in the achievement of the objectives set at the beginning of its activities, and also allowed an assessment of its role in the process of formation of researchers who dedicated themselves to the study of Brazilian educational problems from that time onwards.

Language awareness & knowledge about language : a history of a curriculum reform movement under the Conservatives, 1979-1997

Murakami, Charlotte Victoria Trudy January 2013 (has links)
England’s long history of education has witnessed many conflicts in regard to language teaching. In this thesis, I investigate the conflicts surrounding two language education reform movements, Language Awareness and Knowledge About Language, during the Conservative administration between 1979 and 1997. The investigation examines official and non-official plans and policy texts produced by various groups and actors, notably Hawkins and Cox, that detail how the teaching of ‘Language’ should be conducted in England’s state school curriculum. The focus of the research is upon identifying what LA and KAL were as pedagogical concepts; why LA was reconstituted as KAL; what the motives underpinning these various plans and policies were; and finally, why efforts to establish LA and KAL were resisted. In the effort to make sense of this history, I draw theoretically and methodologically upon the work of Foucault, Fairclough, Bernstein and Ager. Limitations of my interpretation of this history notwithstanding, my findings revealed that LA was an educational reform movement that emerged from common schooling discourses, and one that sought to improve its educational provision. While LA was originally intended to be a subject in its own right that bridged the English and Foreign Language subject areas, Her Majesty’s Inspectorate reconstituted LA and placed its responsibility firmly within the English subject area. The motives underpinning LA and KAL planning and policy are varied. Those underpinning the policies, however, are distinctly ideological in nature, drawing a strong relationship between language education and democracy. Nearly all motives pertain to what Bernstein calls a competence model of education, the modes of which are notably attuned to addressing inequality and promoting social integration. LA and KAL were reforms that were both ill understood and resented, for varying and complex reasons, by educators and the Conservatives alike. The thesis closes with directions for future research.

Curriculum construction in the Indonesian pesantren: a comparative case study of curriculum development in two pesantrens in South Kalimantan

Raihani January 2001 (has links) (PDF)
This study aims at investigating similarities and differences in the curriculum development processes in two selected pesantrens in South Kalimantan, Indonesia. The research explores the involvement of key stakeholders in the curriculum development processes and the curriculum itself. The study is a qualitative approach, which, in collecting the data, employs in-depth interviews with the kyais (leaders), ustadzs (teachers), and santris (students); observation on the pesantrens’ daily life and classroom activities; and relevant documentation. The findings suggest that there are similarities and differences in both pesantrens in the curriculum development processes. Both pesantrens can be classified as Site-Based Managed Schools in which all interactions of the members are permeated with some values. However, Pesantren A has a rather collaborative and goal-oriented curriculum development process, while Pesantren B tended to conduct a single-handed and content-oriented one. The curriculum of Pesantren A is a subject-based curriculum accommodating both religious and non-religious disciplines in relatively the same proportion, whereas that of Pesantren B is a kitab (book)-based curriculum accommodating largely religious disciplines. Overall, it was found that both pesantrens need to conduct more collaborative and systematic curriculum processes. To do so, since ustadzs have a significant influence on the curriculum, there is a need for well-directed and organised professional development programs focusing on pedagogical issues. There is also a need to set some indicators for curriculum evaluation based on the context of Islamic education and immediate societal demands.

Co jste se dnes učili ve výtvarné výchově? / What have you learnt in Arts today?

Viktorinová, Michaela January 2018 (has links)
The case study analyses the art education content of selected teachers through the school year in context of actual curriculum. The lesson plans are going to be compared with the actual realizations of students, with respect to the expected (art) competencies of themselves. How do the teachers deal with the curriculum and content in art education? The thesis explores that question per interviews with the teachers, document analyses and gathered reflections. It examines the way of dealing with pedagogical content, its transformation into concrete tasks, teacher's reflection and appreciation of the student works. Inspirational resources of the particular teachers are going to be also covered in this study. The contemporary researches of Art education with emphasis on the pedagogical content are going to be the theoretical basis of processing the case study. KEYWORDS Art education, case study, curriculum, lesson planning, pedagogical content, specific subject area, teaching and learning
