Portinari menino e o circo /

Viana, Wagner Leite. January 2008 (has links)
Qual é o papel do leitor? / Abstract: In this research I intend to read in Portinari his "look of the childhood" from the works delimited by the thematic of the circus. What is happening to esthetic event in the reading is the state of exception where the poetic image is rising as experience not anticipate in the conscience of a reader, this relation with the art work is understood like subject experiencing among themselves, concept of the phenomenology of Merleau-Ponty that relates the myself, the otherself, the body and the language. I am going to raise questions regarding at formation of the images and reading them. How can I consider the paper of the memory and creative action of the imagination? Is the poetic image in the art work constituted itself as an image reality by itself same? What is the paper of the reader and what is of the art work? The poetic image: an exploration of memory and making in architecture and film

Sturich, Matthew Alexander January 1900 (has links)
Master Of Architecture / Department of Architecture / Matthew Knox / Film allows a different way of looking at space than architecture. It gives easier access to the set-up world of the narrative. The narrative is the story of what happens in the spaces—what the idea of the space is—its ritual. Using the media of film presents a better understanding of a world through the projected images to the designer and viewers. A short film—Poesis—was made to provoke poetic images. The film was used to construct architecture through film, developing a process of making and a more complete understanding of architecture. Each space was treated as a repository for a poetic image. The poetic image is art, a connection to memory, and viewed through materiality. The poetic image allows a relationship with reality, while giving a new awareness of the world at hand. Art is defined as something that sets up a world for someone to enter. Film and architecture both set up a world that is created through memory and material, thus art. Memory is a narrative that does not depend on time, but instead movement through space. Memory allows for empathy from the viewer, creating a connection with the world and characters in it. Materials create surfaces. Surfaces meet at corners and the meeting of these surfaces create a container for space. The space that these surfaces hold give new memories that are poetic images. Andrei Tarkovsky wrote, “Poetry is an awareness of the world, a particular way of relating to reality.” The poetic image is understood as a better understanding, or awareness, of the world we dwell in. Poesis was created as art, setting up a world for someone to enter; not only the character, but the audience as well. The character’s memory of space was taken away in order to purge the desensitization created from the bombardment of images of our culture, and to present the character with new memories of space. Giving these new, simpler notions of space allowed for a more innocent view and awareness of his surroundings. Using these things together created the poetic image of the film—a new awareness and understanding of the world we dwell within. The process of constructing architecture through film allowed for a more complete image of the building being designed. Film is an art that sets up the world that the narrative of the story takes place in with clear and concise juxtaposed images. The process of constructing was a different way of treating the space so it contained the poetic image. The film became a tool of communication for the architecture and its poetics. A more complete understanding of what the space was emerged by looking through the eyes of a filmmaker. A new sense of space developed through this process of making.

A TRANSCENDÊNCIA POÉTICA EM GILBERTO MENDONÇA TELES SOB A PERSPECTIVA DE GASTON BACHELARD.

Borba, Sônia Mariz 28 March 2014 (has links)

For this phenomenologist the poetic image is a new being of language that deeply enlightens our conscience, making the literary creation one of the destinations of the word. This makes the poet is seen as a special issuer, whom diction opens a future of language. The poetic image is established as a kind of valve that releases the perception and provides deep dazzle to the reader, for it is through the imagination that our souvenirs are rebuilt in discontinuous and lacunar temporal movements, providing us,through the work of art, the insertion in the creative moment of revival. The necessary theoretical basis for this work was also based on studies of lyrical from Octavio Paz, which deals with significant multiple faces of the poetic word. These studies assumed a gloomy and unprecedented universe in which the unpredictable meanings are established in the interstices between words. Thus, we seek to show the poetic transcendence in lyric of Gilberto Mendonça Teles, from reverie and expressive power of images that allow the poet a dilation of the semantics of the words, so that they are able to reveal the essence of the lyric voice transformed into language.

Manoel de Barros, poet who debuted on Brazilian literature in 1930, has in the poetic image and in metalanguage the main strength points of his poetry. More than that, we emphasize that there is in his work a tensional interlink between the image and the metalinguistic spaces, once the poet merges these language spaces, making the poem some sort of support for the criticism to the extent that he injects in the poetic discourse his critical thought. We notice, also, that the excessive and combined repetition of some poetic elaboration procedures creates a macrostructure that characterizes the language built by the poet, as we consider the fusion of figurative and metapoetic spaces as a predominant procedure of such structure. To this end, we propose a study that focuses on the functions and effects, generated by the repetition, that singles out the poetry of Barros. Such study aims, still, to systematize a Poetics, once the language turns out to be configured as a palimpsestic code, marked by the coexistence of the critical and creative activities, as well as by the repetition of punctual ideas about the poetic. To do such, we start from a thorough investigation of a selection of poems from the complete works of the author, and establish a broad dialogue with the fundamentals of the lyric modernity.

The Sutras as Poetry: Wang Wei's Use of Buddhist Philosophy as Poetic Image

Zhang, Yan 01 September 2020 (has links)
The present academic studies on Wang Wei usually focus on his landscape poems and claim that these landscape poems imply Buddhism. Their methods usually analyze Wang Wei’s Buddhist tendencies from his life experience. But it needs more textual analysis to prove that the relationship between his poem and Buddhism. The Introduction section provides the relationship between the Buddhist principles and Wang Wei’s Buddhist poems. The Buddhist principles were figuratively represented in Wang Wei’s poems by describing certain images from Buddhist Sutras. Chapter 1 presents the analysis of the couplets of each Buddhist poem through their connection to Buddhist doctrines. Chapter 2 summarizes the characteristics of Wang Wei’s Buddhist poems and emphasizes the use of Buddhist philosophy as a poetic image.

Fenda e silêncio: escritas do muro em Eugénio de Andrade, Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen e Jorge de Sena nos percursos da modernidade poética portuguesa / Poetics of the wall in Eugénio de Andrade, Sophia de Mello Breyner and Jorge de Sena

Araujo, Joana Souto Guimarães 26 February 2019 (has links)
This research focuses on the functions and the meanings of the iterant wall image in the poetic works of Eugénio de Andrade, Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen and Jorge de Sena. The study is divided into four parts and nine chapters distributed among historical and theoretical questions and the analysis of each poetic work. The historical perspective includes the reading of modern Portuguese authors such as Cesário Verde, Raul Brandão and Fernando Pessoa, who prepare the passage for Andrade, Andresen and Sena in the literary scene of the 1940s, in the context of the Cadernos de poesia and \"Neorrealismo\". The theoretical approach investigates the relationship between poetry and experience unfolded in the complementary notions of crisis and resistance, considered in terms of dialectical articulations and poetic procedures organized by the imagery of the wall. These different organizations of the image of the wall direct the analyzes of Andrade\'s, Andresen\'s and Sena\'s work, which constituted complexes of their own according to the notions of nature, landscape and matter.

The word and image in poem the slave ship the Castro Alves.

Santos Neto, Artur Bispo dos 08 October 2007 (has links)
Our thesis sails through the Castro Alves' poem The slave ship, that incorporates itself in a romantic tradition by means of the dialog established with Heinrich Heine, Gonçalves Dias, Pedro Luiz and a minor poets pleiad, manifesting the poetry epos vicissitudes dedicated to the cause of the slaves freedom. The dialectic nature from this poetic reveals itself as in the antagonist relations that delays the way that the lyric subject understands the world under the approximation and removal perspective, as in the tragic scene representation that the figures of the scenic picture mimetic the world under a Benjamin interpretative way of a mourned game. The literature genders configure themselves as optical artifacts that allow to understand the literature text as images profusion which every figure appear drunkard inside the ship fog marked by the imperative of the whip violence and the bodies dancing movement. In the fruition of the translator task, as Flávio Kothe points, we try to understand the allegoric nature of the words and images that inscribe themselves in the deep fog of the libertarian rhetoric of Castro Alves's romanticism.
