František Palacký a vliv britského myšlenkové tradice na jeho dílo a myšlení / František Palacký and the Influence of British Tradition of Thought on His WorkKyllar, Václav January 2021 (has links)
Precis The task of this thesis will be a detailed analysis of the work of František Palacký with emphasis on his political thought. This analysis will be carried out through a comparison with the British tradition of thought, which will be represented by selected thinkers with whom František Palacký came into contact and on the basis of whose ideas he profiled his work and basic concepts of his later political practice. The analysis assumes a thorough knowledge of the work of František Palacký and his British counterparts and the overall philosophical, cultural and political environment in which Palacký became a leading figure of the Czech national revival. The main part of this thesis will focus on the analysis of key texts of František Palacký and British writers who had a major influence on him. We will describe and evaluate this influence in detail in the context of the basic concepts that characterize Palacký's work in its entirety. With this analysis, we will try to deepen our understanding of Czech political thought, František Palacký and his legacy. Methodologically, the work will reflect the interdisciplinary character of Palacký's work and despite its entrenchment in political thought it will also work with a conceptual study of the nation, the national revival, and to some extent aesthetics and...

Neparlamentní politické strany v procesu mediální komunikace.Komunikační chování neparlamentních stran v ČR před volbami do PSP ČR v roce 2006 / xValentová, Hana January 2011 (has links)
This diploma thesis on the "Non-Parliamentary Political Parties in Media Communication Process. Communication Behaviour of Non-Parliamentary Parties in the Czech Republic prior to the Parliamentary Elections of 2006" suggests that political parties wishing to succeed in the dynamically changing media environment today need to present themselves through the refection of contemporary trends in the development of political communication. Based on the hypothesis that the non-parliamentary (i.e. small) political parties fail to master these principles of media and political communication, which is one (but not the single) reason why they fail to reach spectacular results in elections, this diploma thesis investigates four Czech non-parliamentary political parties participating in the parliamentary elections of 2006. The theoretical part of this diploma thesis introduces the current phenomena of political communication, including the mediatisation and personalisation of politics and the concept of politics as entertainment, with a focus on the examples of professionalization of political communication, political marketing and the importance of public opinion. In the practical part of this diploma thesis, the fundamental definitions are used and the method of semiotic analysis applied to the media...

Média a politika - Politické strany ve vybraném českém denním tisku v období před volbami do Poslanecké sněmovny Parlamentu České republiky v roce 2010 / Media and policy-representation of political parties in selected czech newspaperes in the period before the elections to the PS PČR in 2010Kocourková, Nikola January 2014 (has links)
The diploma thesis Media and Politics - Political Parties in Selected Czech Newspapers in the Period Before the Elections to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of Czech Republic in 2013 compares the representation of selected Czech political parties in the content of Czech national serious daily newspapers through quantitative content analysis of news in dailies Hospodářské noviny, Mladá fronta Dnes, Lidové noviny a Právo. The thesis explores the space which was given to individual political parties in studied newspapers, how often they were mentioned in the news, whether the approach of the parties in the news were balanced, and if the parties were neutrally presented in each daily news. The main aim of this thesis is to determine whether the Czech press is showing signs of political parallelism and whether it is objektive to political parties. The theoretical framework of the thesis is the theory of political parallelism as percieved by Daniel C. Hallin and Paolo Mancini and objectivity of the media as percieved by Jörgen Westerståhl. The research draws on the foreign literature and also draws from research in this area that in the past took place abroad.

Hodnota politických konexí: Výsledky pro Českou republiku / The Value of Political Connections: Evidence from the Czech RepublicPalanský, Miroslav January 2016 (has links)
The Value of Political Connections: Evidence from the Czech Republic Miroslav Palanský Abstract This thesis estimates the value of political connections in the Czech Republic and it is divided into two parts. The first one explores the recently extended, most advanced publicly available data set on political party financing in the Czech Republic, covering the time period 1995-2015. We analyze basic patterns in party funding and their development over time. We focus primarily on private funding from both legal and natural persons. The data show that there exists substantial heterogeneity in the volume of private funding across parties and over time, but contributions from the government budget remain the most important source of income for all larger parties. We analyze the available data on donations and discuss several issues regarding the notion that donors may view contributions as investment, yielding possible profits in the future. In the second part, we use the data set of corporate donations to construct a proxy variable for political connections and to estimate the effect of being connected to a political party on the financial performance of such firms. We find that the connected firms perform significantly better than the non- connected ones in the years following the establishment of the...

Estetizace české politické komunikace po roce 1993 / The Aetheticisation of Czech Political Communication after 1993Hájek, Roman January 2012 (has links)
Aestheticization belongs to a group of interrelated concepts which try to describe and explain current changes in political communication. The theoretical part of this thesis incorporates the notion of "aestheticization" into the context of considerations of political communication, and then - based on an analysis of its conceptualizations in aesthetic theories, critical social theories and political philosophy - it proposes its determination useful for media studies. The aim of the empirical part of this thesis is to examine the hypothesis about aesthetization of political communication in case of media content. We base this on Wolfgang Welsch's distinction between surface and deep-structure aestheticization. Using quantitative content analysis we examine changes in media coverage of five Czech general elections (i. e. the elections to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic between 1996 and 2010) in two Czech dailies Právo and Mladá fronta Dnes. While we have not proved the surface aestheticization, some inclinations towards deep-structure aestheticization have been noticed. Nevertheless, these results raise doubts about appropriateness of the content analysis as a methodological tool for researching aestheticization. As an outcome of this discussion we make some...
