Investigation of stressed state of elastic element of elastic clutch from three ply reinforced polymer material

Hadzhiyski, Vilhelm, Atanasov, Zviatko 28 September 2017 (has links) (PDF)
The use of composite materials in engineering practice and in particular nonmetallic composite materials in the preparation of elastic couplings (clutches) requires modeling of their mechanical behavior. The production of elastic couplings with a elastic element having reinforced polymer materials require studying the behavior of those materials for loads which are typical for their operation. In many modern structures of elastic clutches are used multilayer reinforced composites. This kind of materials are composed of separate layers with different orientation of reinforcing fibers. Several authors have studied the behavior of this type of laminated materials (Yongming L. 2005, Zhang Y.X., 2009). Factors, which determine the stress and deformation state of this type of elastic elements are: — structure and mechanical characteristics — matrix and reinforced material — connection between matrix and reinforced material — orientation of reinforcement. The aim of this paper is to investigate stress and strain state of elastic element of coupling, creating a model for determination of the state of threelayers nonmetallic material for manufacturing of nonmetallic elastic elements.

Renovace stokové sítě CIPP metodami / Renovation of sewer network with CIPP methods

Holeš, Petr January 2014 (has links)
Diploma thesis makes a summary of today’s state of CIPP methods designed for sewer relining. Thesis presents classification of CIPP methods between other NO-DIG technologies. Then CIPP methods are divided into groups according to the material used for the liner, applied resin, installation method and curing method. Designing of the CIPP liner used for sewer renovation is also part of this diploma thesis. The result of the theoretical part of this work is a table, which states suitability of particular methods for use in a sewer of specific technical properties. Practical part of bachelor’s thesis is dealing with the analysis of defects of an existing sewer in the city Přerov. Analysis was done due to the camera examination provided by the company Wombat s.r.o. Later the table developed in theoretical part was applied, and then the suitability of use of all parameters of CIPP liners was commented. At the end the plan of works is designed, with the plan for pumping of water included.

Požeminių polimerinių talpų sąveika su gruntu / Soil-structure interaction of buried polymer vessels

Mikolainis, Mindaugas 01 August 2012 (has links)
[toliau žr. visą tekstą] / Main methods to determine subgrade reaction is systemized in this master thesis work. Determination of static and dynamic deformation modulus, when relative soil density is known, are also familiarized. Correlation between the parameters is given in section 2. Experiments were made to prove that there is a link between deformation modulus and surcharge. If surcharge depends linearly from depth, then a function was created to predict deformation modulus values in weak soil when depth varies. 2 similar construction (pipes and tunnels) methods were used to design a buried tank. Design model was created by these design programs: Robot Structural Analysis Pro, SCAD, and PLAXIS 2D. An additional tank modelling method has been suggested by the author. Supports were assigned in plane instead of in a straight line. The updated model seems to better fit for low stiffness construction materials like GRP composites. In these design models all common tank structural elements were included: longitude domes, light and heavy stiffeners, orthotropic material. Main design parameters like virtual elastic modulus, Poisson ratio, creep factor, factor of durability. Results are summarized in conclusions. Suggestions were provided to help future researchers and designers with this kind of problems: structural design of composite polymer structures, design of buried thin-shelled tanks and evaluation of deformation modulus.

Caractérisation et mise en œuvre de systèmes réactifs polyamide et polyépoxyde formulés pour le rotomoulage de liners de stockage hyperbare / Characterization and transformation of polyamide and polyepoxyde reactive systems formulated for rotomolded liners of high pressure storage

Lecocq, Eva 21 December 2012 (has links)
The aim of this present study is to develop efficient and processable formulations for the liners of high pressure storage tank. A wide range of formulations based on polyamide and polyepoxide has been synthesized under controlled conditions representative of the rotomolding process. The polyamide system has been modified by copolymerization and the polyepoxyde system by a micro- or nano-structured dispersed phase with high Tg thermoplastics or block copolymers. The morphological, thermal, mechanical and barrier properties of each formulation were characterized and compared to the specifications of the material. In parallel, the influence of operating conditions and formulation on the rheokinetics of polymerization, crystallization, gelation and / or phase separation has been established. All of these results have been exploited to identify structure - property - processability relationships for the application. To validate the potential of selected formulations, they were rotationally molded in variable operating conditions with flow monitoring and rheological measure. This work has established the processing windows of each formulation and has allowed an understanding of the origin of flow defects.

Study and development of electrospun fibers for biotechnology application / Etude et développement de fibres électrofilées pour des applications en biotechnologie

Chaves Vieira Lins, Luanda 19 July 2016 (has links)
Currently, the electrospinning process is also one of the most promising routes for the design and development of polymer fibers. This technique is easy to use, unique, versatile, and low cost, which can be used to create fibers from a variety of starting materials. The structure, chemical and mechanical stability, functionality, and other properties of the fibers can be modified to match end applications. The first goal of this thesis was to develop scaffolds for the field of neural tissue engineering in order to mimic the biological, physical and mechanical properties of the native extracellular matrix. In the first time, the effect of fiber alignment of a biocompatible and fluorinated matrix denoted polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) was studied on the behavior of monkey neural stem cells particularly the morphology, cell adhesion and their differentiation in glial or neuronal cells. Secondly, bioabsorbable scaffolds composed of polylactide (PLA) and polyethylene glycol (PEG) polymers were synthesized to investigate the influence of the hydrophilic-hydrophobic balance on the culture of neural stem cells. Finally, an exploratory work was conducted to develop smart textiles based on poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT) containing curli as protein, well-known for its ability to chelate metals.
