Legal and professional challenges confronting practising lawyers in contemporary Vietnam

Nguyen, Thi Minh, Law, Faculty of Law, UNSW January 2008 (has links)
The policy of developing a market economy and of international integration as well as the major impetus to seek to build a law-based state and engage in judicial reform, are bringing practising lawyers (luat su) in Vietnam more opportunities than ever before, and the role of luat su is much improved. Given the importance of luat su in the period of transformation, attention should be paid to the enormous challenges encountered by them, as they are affected by a number of issues involving cultural, social, and legal aspects. This thesis tries to identify the professional and legal challenges that luat su face which directly and specifically affect their role: notably widespread devaluing of the potential and role of law, and the role of luat su in society, the inappropriate attitude of some government officials towards practising lawyers, the inadequacy of many lawyers' qualifications, the inferior position of luat su in the judicial system, the use of 'connections' (quan he) as a substitute for legal services, and especially substantial degree of inconsistencies, overlapping, uncertainty and unpredictability of the legal system, which prevent luat su from being able to render useful and practical advice. There is a causal relation between those issues and the marginal role of practising lawyers in contemporary Vietnam. This study also uses comparisons to draw experiences from other countries to see whether their experience can be made use of in Vietnam, The thesis makes a number of recommendations and concludes that in order to overcome difficulties and to improve the role of lawyers it is critical to create a good infrastructure for lawyers, including ensuring a closer approach to the rule of law in practice, Lawyers do not live and function in their own isolated world, but closely relate to the operation of other organs administering law and exercising justice. It is therefore concluded that the degree of improvement in the legal profession largely depends not only on the reform of the legal profession itself, but also on the success or failure of the current judicial and legal reforms.

Made available in DSpace on 2015-03-05T18:25:05Z (GMT). Não / The productive routines of journalists from two printed daily newspapers of Campo Grande (MS) and the news of crimes engendered in those routines correspond to the center of this work. The analyses of the journalists’ practsing – revealed as much in their relations in the everyday life of the news production as in the own texts and images –they have as main theoretical base the “bourdieusianos” concepts of habitus and of social area. The methodology is composed of ethnography of the production routines of the journalists, and analyses of interviews and news. The dialogues between empirical and theoretician allowed to understand the news as representations of world of the journalists, of the owners of the journalistic companies, of the sources and agents of the news process. Those representations are built from certain perceptions, produced by habitus incorporated by all of agents. From this tangled of relations, are analyzed, the practices, perceptions and representations of the world of the journalists. T

Výuka slovní zásoby pomocí interaktivní tabule / Teaching vocabulary through the interactive whiteboard

BUTOROVÁ, Zuzana January 2010 (has links)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to prepare and try to present and practise vocabulary in practice using a interactive whiteboard. Vocabulary topics are based on RVP (FEP) and designed for 6th grade of elementary school. A textbook Way to Win 6 is used as a source and basic material for the topics. This textbook comes precisely from RVP (FEP). I have prepared presentations and practices on the basis of professional literature which are methodically correct. These presentations and practices are connected with a meaning and a spoken and written form of each word. Pupils will be able to use this vocabulary actively after practising.

Practical advices for young Opera singers

Gagua, Zaza January 2019 (has links)
Opera itself is a combination of music, poetry, acting and plastic where the central role-plays singer-actor. Each singer should try to develop itself every time. During my study period, I have learned a lot from the reading books of successful and famous opera singers; I noted recommendations of my teachers, professors, opera singers I have met; and tried to follow their recommendations. As you have already read, it really affected me. I hope that my work will be useful for the beginners since several year ago I was beginner too, studied a lot, and worked a lot for my future career. As I have already mentioned below I have played the role of Masetto and Commendatore during performance of Mozart’s Don Giovanni. And from my point of view it is quite hard to play both roles but if you will follow the advices that I have mentioned here ineach my chapter I am sure that it will help you to sing properly during your entire singing career. Since when I started to practice thesetwo roles I had quite few time to study and met a lot of challenges. Hoverer I started to look for the solutions howto overcome challenges. First of all I have started to observe why I couldn’t sleep sometimes well, why I had reflux, why my voice wasn’t in a good condition and also I have started to think about faster ways of studying and started to think how I could learn faster and what are the important keys. I am always trying to follow the advices of the famous singers and trying to fit it to myself. I do not tell you how you should develop your voice skills or singing technique because I think that it is up to your voice technique teacher’s job but what I am trying to share with you is that all my selected chapters will help and do not heart you.

Morötterna jag har i min trädgård! : En fenomenologisk studie om hur min motivation fungerar i min övning på instrumentet valthorn / The carrots I have in my garden! : A phenomenological study about how my motivation works in my practice on the instrument french horn

Weiding, Lovisa January 2022 (has links)
In this study I have explored how my motivation works when practising on my main instrument. In my research I have used different methods for practising and documented my material in a logbook. I have then analyzed my material trough the thematic analysis to be able to shine a light on some of the factors that I think are relevant och important to notice to be able to get a picture of how my motivation works. In the study I present literature and research that is relevant for the theme motivation and discuss this literature with my results from a phenomenological perspective.

The research was developed based on the teacher professional development perspective. To this aim, it engaged teachers of elementary education and it was guided by the question "Which are the reflections and insights about the process of appropriation of mathematical pedagogical-technological knowledge mobilized by face-to-face and distance educational practice held with teachers in public schools? Seeking answers to the question posed, the research was developed under the assumptions of qualitative research, through the analysis of the appropriation of mathematical pedagogical-technological knowledge of mathematics teachers of elementary education, considering the processes that underlie the appropriation. It also analyzed how the movement of public policy impacts the professional development of teachers and the echoes of past experience in the culture and everyday practice of these teachers. I tried to look at the object of study from different perspectives, so the research was conducted through several moments and situations. It began with observations of subjects' teaching practice and the conduction of initial interviews. It continued in the context of a face-to-face and distance practice taught through an Extension course. It moved into a scenario in which teachers promoted learning sessions with their students using technology. Also, a new set of interviews was developed almost two years after the end of the course. As results, the research shows that, in a dialectical point of view, the understanding of the process of elementary teachers' appropriation of mathematical pedagogical-technological knowledge covers different aspects such as ... "You have to find a way to glue it in your brain": children's views on learning multiplication facts

Morrison, Vivienne Frances January 2007 (has links)
While there has been research on development of multiplicative reasoning, and how to teach multiplication facts, there is little research on how children consider they learn these. This study explores the children's learning as they consider how they commit their multiplication facts to memory, discover calculation strategies and develop multiplicative thinking. A group of eleven Year 4 children (8 years old) participated in a series of 13 lessons where they became coresearchers in the exploration of their learning. A contextually based thematic approach was provided through 'Crocodilian Studies'. The mixed-method approach to this study included formal assessment, participant observation, individual interviews, the children's written ideas, and individual case studies. The most significant finding of this study was the powerful influence of peer learning. The children enriched and directed each other's learning as they shared ideas and reflected on their own mathematical learning as they observed and critiqued the thinking of peers. As the children were involved in thinking about how they learn they were able to identify gaps and construct their own learning pathways. A significant finding was that children can develop their multiplicative strategies while they commit their multiplication facts to memory, in a relatively short time provided that the learning process facilitates strategy development and understanding. By exposing the children to multiplication facts in sequenced clusters provided them with a manageable number of facts to be learnt at one time. Another finding related to how children develop calculation strategies through lesson activities rather than being explicitly taught them. The children considered practice important for memorisation. Parental support was significant in enriching the children's learning.

Využití interaktivní tabule při hodinách angličtiny na 2. stupni ZŠ / Using the Interactive Whiteboard in English Language Classes at Middle School Level

KOVÁŘOVÁ, Hana January 2011 (has links)
This diploma thesis is focused on using the interactive whiteboard in English language classes at middle school level. The theoretical part is focused on describing the interactive whiteboard, development and description of particular language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) and language subskills (grammar, pronunciation). The practical part deals with a preparation of some English classes. From observation of the classes, from the interviews with teachers and the questionnaire among pupils I will make a conclusion for training which language skills and subskills it is good to use the interactive whiteboard.
