I processen för kopparframställning finns en delprocess som kallas kopparkonvertering. Denna process är en batchprocess och utförs i många fall med hjälp av en Peirce-Smith-konverter. I konvertern finns en murning av eldfast tegel som mellan batcherna utsätts för temperaturcykler där kylning och värmning förekommer. Till följd av detta uppstår problem som nötning och sprickbildning i teglet. För att undvika dessa problem kan underhållsbrännare användas. Målet med projektet var att utveckla en konstruktion som förflyttar en brännare till och från mynningen på konvertern. Genom att värma genom mynningen på konvertern ska en jämnare värmefördelning erhållas och därmed minska den effekt som temperaturcyklerna har på teglet. Genom studiebesök och litteraturstudier har behov identifierats och från dessa har en kravspecifikation skapats. Utveckling av konstruktionen har sedan utförts med kravspecifikationen i beaktning. Fokus har legat på att konstruktionen ska konstrueras av standardiserat material, vara lätt att tillverka, lätt att underhålla och klara den tuffa miljön som den monteras i. Resultatet är en lösning som medför effektivare underhållsvärmning genom mindre värmeförluster, jämnare värmefördelning och automatiserad montering.

In this thesis the need for nutrients for rabbits was described. Anthocyanins were described as biological substances contained in wheat with non-traditional coloring and their possible antioxidant effects. The second part of the review is devoted to bio-chemical parameters of animal blood. The practical part was aimed at the study of the influence of feed mixture with increased content of anthocyanins. In the experiment, a wheat species PS Karkulka with purple pericarp was used and Vanessa was used as control wheat species. Both of these made 15% of the feed diet. 18 rabbit females of which 9 were in the experimental group and 9 in the control group were included in the experiment. They were fed a complete pelleted mixture. In the experiment, the weight of the animals, the average weight gains, the feed consump-tion, the feed conversion ratio were monitored. After slaughter, slaughter yield, bio-chemical blood analysis and antioxidant activity were monitored. The results show that the differences in average live weight were statistically in-significant, only at week 8 the differences in live weight was statistically significantly higher in the control group. Average weight gains were evaluated as statistically insig-nificant. Statistically significantly higher average feed consumption was found in the control group. The carcass weight was significantly higher in the control group. There were no statistically significant differences in biochemical parameters and blood anti-xodation activity.

The thesis compares the structure of feed mixture and the feed residues after the feeding broilers rabbits Hyla. There were made two different feed mixtures – the control one and the experimental one. The experimental feed mixture contained 10 % of purple grain wheat called PS Karkulka. In the control one was used 10 % of wheat Vanessa with classical colour of grain. The feed mixtures and the feed residues were separated on different wide sieves to find the size share. Than the feed mixture and the feed residues were compared. The quantity of parts bigger than 2 mm in the feed residues decreased and the quantity of parts smaller than 2 mm increased. Both with statistical significance (P<0.05). To detect the taste preferences between PS Karkulka and Vanessa the parts bigger than 2 mm in both types of feed residues were separated to individual components and compared. There was found that rabbits preferred the colored grained wheat (PS Karkulka) more than the classical one (Vanessa) with statistical significance (P<0.05). The next part is about performance parameters. The weight gain, carcass weight, carcass yield, feed consumption and feed conversation ratio were evaluated. In all of that parameters there were not found statistically significant differences (P˃0.05) between control group and experimental group.

Ce mémoire, en plus de proposer une première étude critique entièrement consacrée à l’œuvre de Joséphine Bacon, vise à établir un pont entre deux univers génériques apparemment distincts : le cinéma documentaire et la poésie. Bien avant de prendre officiellement la plume, l’artiste innue a appris à travailler le matériau filmique en accompagnant maints cinéastes dans leurs tournages et en réalisant ses propres films documentaires. À notre avis, dans son premier recueil de poèmes, Bâtons à message. Tshissinuatshitakana, l’empreinte fondamentale laissée par cette pratique cinématographique est perceptible : s’y construit un rapport entre l’énonciateur et l’énonciataire qui rappelle, à bien des égards, celui qui prévaut en régime documentaire. Qui plus est, une quête destinée à aller à la rencontre d’un pan spécifique du réel anime la poétesse tout au long du recueil.

Entré en littérature par la voie de l'engagement, Major n'a cessé par la suite d'afficher un « parti pris » pour la désertion. Après avoir mis au monde quantité de déserteurs de toutes sortes dans ses nouvelles et ses romans, voilà qu'il se fait lui-même déserteur en inscrivant ses carnets, Le sourire d'Anton ou l'adieu au roman, contre le genre romanesque. Étant donné que la désertion se fait dans et au moyen du carnet, ce mémoire propose l'étude de la mise en forme de la désertion par ce nouveau type d'écriture. Il s'agit de démontrer que le carnet devient le support par excellence où penser et réaliser une désertion qui se présente sous deux facettes : d'une mise en marge du collectif, la désertion se déplace vers un « adieu au roman ».

Ce mémoire en création littéraire comprend deux parties distinctes. La première consiste en deux recueils de poésie, intitulés respectivement Carnets du chêne rouge et Signes. Ils évoquent des thèmes chers à Jacques Ferron : la prise de parole et l'enracinement. La deuxième partie présente une étude sur l'enseignement de la littérature. Elle tente de répondre, par une lecture de trois livres de Jacques Ferron, Contes, Cotnoif et Le salut de l'Irlande, à la question suivante : quels sont les a priori sur lesquels repose une pédagogie porteuse de sens ? Cette lecture dégage quatre éléments essentiels à la création de sens : l'imaginaire, qui sert aussi de contrepoids à la raison ; la prise de parole, ou l'expression an je personnel ; le langage créateur ; et la narration mythique. Est pris comme hypothèse que ces éléments concernent autant l'enseignement que l'existence humaine.

Tableau d’honneur de la Faculté des études supérieures et postdoctorales, 2009-2010 / Inspirée de la critique génétique, notre recherche porte sur l'étude de La batèche. l'un des plus importants cycles poétiques de L'homme rapaillé de Gaston Miron. Pour retracer la genèse de cette suite inachevée, nous avons consulté les notes personnelles de l'auteur, sa correspondance, ses entretiens, ses brouillons de même que les différentes éditions de L'homme rapaillé. Les informations recueillies permettent de constater que les nombreuses variantes apportées au cycle ont été influencées par le premier séjour du poète en France, où il prend la pleine mesure de ses racines et de la condition canadienne-française. Notre recherche révèle aussi que Miron caressait le projet de faire de son cycle un important recueil. Les circonstances en ont décidé autrement, mais il n'en demeure pas moins intéressant de voir surgir les différentes pistes abandonnées par l'auteur. L'analyse des deux poèmes du cycle montre quant à elle comment cette suite poétique s'est construite autour d'une affirmation de soi qui débouche sur un projet de libération collective.

Superhydrophobic fabrics have gained a huge interest in the industries recently. New legislation pushes the industries to eliminate the use of fluorinated materials in the production of these type of fabrics. Hydrophobic and self-cleaning garments textiles can deliver stable water repellent properties without the need for fluorinated chemicals and reduce the consumption of detergents. New methods that could be implemented in current textile industry processes without major changes in instruments or materials is essential to move this industry to the next level. Filament development with the hydrophobic structure without coating could be strategic on one side and tricky on the other side. It has been proved that a stable hydrophobic self cleaning surface needs a hierarchical micro-nano structure to present sustainable properties. In this thesis, we used common materials in the textile industry for filament production which are polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and high molecular weight polystyrene (PS) and low molecular weight polystyrene (LMPS) to shape the microstructures on the surface of filaments. By adding the common compatibilizer polystyrene-co-maleic anhydride (PSMA) to the blend, PS in the matrix of PET could migrate to the surface. Even 1% wt. of PSMA boosted the migration of PS polymer droplets to the surface. The blend including compatibilizer was compounded, melt-spun into the monofilament, drawn, and annealed for various time durations in the furnace. Next, the filaments were immersed in tetrahydrofuran(THF) to remove the PS component obtaining the rough surface. We investigated the effect of mixture components content and different process parameters such as draw ratio and annealing time on hydrophobicity by the aid of statistical design. Applying the Wilhelmy method for contact angle measurement, we could achieve an advancing contact angle (ACA)of 114º and the average ACA of 96º by making micro-size structure on raw PET with an average ACA of 80º and the intrinsic contact angle of around 70º.
