Estudo da perfuração de chapas grossas de aço ASTM A-36

O presente trabalho estuda a variação do diâmetro inicial e diâmetro final de um furo puncionado feito em uma chapa de aço ASTM A-36 com 12,7 mm de espessura. São propostas três geometrias diferentes de punção fabricados em aço AISI D2 e AISI S1 com diâmetro inicial 20 mm e final 22 mm. Os punções foram fabricados para realizarem o processo de puncionamento e brochamento com penetrações de avanço (asf) de 0,2 mm, 0,5 mm e 1 mm. O objetivo principal é reduzir a conicidade dos furos puncionados atualmente através do método convencional. As folgas entre punção e matriz (w) utilizadas foram de 3,1%, 7,8% e 15,7% da espessura da chapa de testes respectivamente. Para avaliação do desempenho de cada ferramenta, todos os furos puncionados foram medidos e tabelados. Entre os resultados encontrados, constatou-se que os punções com brochamento apresentam melhores valores que os convencionais em todos parâmetros analisados. As regiões de cisalhamento (Zc) e região de ruptura abrupta (Zr) também sofreram influência direta em função da geometria utilizada. / The present work studies the variation of the initial diameter and final diameter of a punched hole made in an ASTM A-36 steel sheet with 12.7 mm of thickness. Three different punches geometries are proposed and manufactured from AISI D2 and AISI S1 steel with initial diameter 20 mm and final diameter 22 mm. The punches were manufactured to carry out the punching and broaching process with feed penetrations (asf) of 0.2 mm, 0.5 mm and 1 mm. The main objective is to reduce the conicity of the punched holes currently through the conventional method. The clearance between punch and die (w) used were 3.1%, 7.8% and 15.7% of the thickness of the test plate respectively. To evaluate the performance of each tool, all punched holes were measured and tabulated. Among the results, it was observed that the punches with a broaching showed better values than the conventional ones in all analyzed parameters. The regions of shear (Zc) and region of abrupt rupture (Zr) also had a direct influence in function of the geometry used.

A High Density Non-Classical Unipolar CMOS with Two Embedded Oxide NMOS Load

In this thesis, we propose a high density non-classical unipolar CMOS width two embedded oxide (2EO) NMOS load. The words ¡§unipolar CMOS¡¨ refer to the fact that the conventional NMOS driver and the proposed 2EO NMOS load are presented in which the electron is the only carrier used. Among them, the 2EO scheme is used to isolate the inversion current. And the dominant current in the 2EO NMOS load is the punch through current which is not a destructive current mechanism. Our proposed CMOS, due to the same carrier used, does not have to compensate the layout width in load design. In addition, the shared terminal of output contacts and the elimination of N-well technique are also presented in our proposed CMOS. Therefore, the layout area can be reduced 72%, in comparison with conventional CMOS. Furthermore, the packing density can be increased and the fabrication cost can be reduced, respectively. We also find out that the delay time can be improved 39% to increase the operating frequency, as compared with the convention CMOS.

A Study of High-Speed Non-Classical Unipolar CMOS with a Thick Sidewall-Spacer Gate-Oxide NMOS Load

In this thesis, we present a high-speed non-classical unipolar CMOS with a thick sidewall-spacer gate-oxide NMOS load. This unipolar CMOS is composed of a NMOS driver and a thick sidewall-spacer gate-oxide NMOS which replaces a PMOS as load. We focus on the investigation of punch-through current in unipolar CMOS trends. In addition, we also design a conventional CMOS for comparison. According to the simulations, the logical characteristics of our proposed CMOS are valid, in which the average propagation delay time is improved 20 % compared with the conventional CMOS. This is due to the presence of a thick sidewall-spacer gate-oxide NMOS load. For the viewpoint of device fabrication, the N well process can also be eliminated. This means that the proposed NMOS load not only improves the CMOS speed, but also reduces the fabrication cost. Thus, because of the shared-terminal output, the layout area can be significantly decreased 41 %, in comparison with the conventional CMOS.

In Situ Small Scale Mechanical Characterization of Materials Under Environmental

This research investigates the mechanical properties and performance of structural materials at a small volume scale. In situ observation was made possible through the Small Punch Test (SPT) method as well as tribological testing. Experimentally, aluminum and titanium alloys were examined using those two techniques. Analysis of their behavior in comparison with their published mechanical properties made it possible to establish connections between test parameters and conventional uniaxial tensile test properties. Connections were generated between SPT parameters and tribological performance. This research used experimental approaches to develop an understanding of the material behaviors during small punch testing and apply them to hydrogen embrittlement. The SPT for such alloys were highly repeatable and specimen surface roughness did not have visible impacts on repeatability. Analysis indicated that there is a link between the SPT and conventional mechanical properties. The relationship between the applied force and the slop of the FvE curve is associated with the tensile strength and elastic modulus. It was found that the SPT can be used to qualitatively gage wear resistance. The SPT was used to analyze hydrogen effects, and no significant effects were seen on 3003-H14 and 2618-T61 aluminum alloys; however, effects were seen on a Ti-6Al-4V alloy. It was also found that hydrogen showed no visible effects on friction and wear. The SPT can now be applied more accurately to the testing of aluminum alloys and new doors for the potential of small punch testing in the application of hydrogen embrittlement and surface characterization have been opened. This thesis consists of six chapters. The first chapter serves as an introduction to the background necessary to understand the rational and motivation for the present research. The second chapter will go into detail about the motivation and the objects of the research while the third chapter will explain the experimental procedures that were conducted to fulfill these objectives. The fourth chapter will present the results of these experiments, and they will be discussed in the fifth chapter. Finally, in the sixth chapter, conclusions will be stated and future work will be discussed.

Utvärdering av ett kortare dehydreringsprogram för stansbiopsier från human hud och portio : Har storleken betydelse? / Evaluation of a shorter dehydration program for skin and portio biopsies - Does size matter?

På histopatologiska laboratoriet vid Länssjukhuset Ryhov i Jönköping är dehydreringsprocessen i dagsläget förlagd över natt. För upprätthållande av god kvalitet på diagnos med förbättrat provflöde och utnyttjande av instrumentens fulla kapacitet önskas att ett kortare dehydreringsprogram implementeras och förläggs dagtid. Syftet med denna studie var således att utvärdera ett kortare dehydreringsprogram för stansbiopsier från human hud och portio. Detta har gjorts utifrån cellmorfologiska bedömningsgrunder och bedömning av färgkvalité av rutinfärgning med Hematoxylin och Eosin samt specialfärgningarna polykrommetylenblått enligt Unna, Periodic acid-Schiff och Giemsa. Ett material om 87 biopsier från human hud samt portio dehydrerades fördelat över gällande rutinprogram samt utvärderat kortprogram. Preparaten bedömdes sedan utifrån snittbarhet, morfologisk kvalité samt färgbarhet och diagnostiserbarhet. Resultatet av undersökningen visade att mindre stansbiopsier från kortprogrammet varit enkla att snitta samt att dessa erhållit genomgående goda resultat från övriga bedömningar. Däremot var de större biopsierna mer svårsnittade samt uppvisade fler dehydreringsartefakter när dessa dehydrerats i kortprogram. Sammantaget konstaterades att det korta dehydreringsprogrammet skulle kunna implementeras för mindre stansbiopsier från hud och portio på histopatologiska laboratoriet vid Länssjukhuset Ryhov i Jönköping. / At the histopathological laboratory at Ryhov County Hospital in Jönköping the dehydration process is currently scheduled during nights. To maintain good diagnostic quality with improved sample flow and use of the instruments full capacity an implementation of a shorter dehydration program scheduled during daytime was needed. The purpose was thus to evaluate a shorter dehydration program for punch biopsies of human skin and portio. The evaluation was based on ratings of cellular morphology and quality of routine staining with Hematoxylin and Eosin as well as special staining with polychrome methylene blue according to Unna, Periodic acid-Schiff and Giemsa. A material containing 87 biopsies was dehydrated distributed between current routine program and the evaluated shorter program. The specimens were rated on the basis of ability to section, morphological and staining quality along with diagnostic ability. The results of the survey showed that smaller punch biopsies run in the shorter dehydration program were easy to section and received good results in general. In contrast, larger biopsies were more difficult to section and showed more dehydration artefacts when dehydrated in the shorter program. Altogether it was concluded that the short dehydration program could be implemented for smaller punch biopsies from skin and portio at the histopathological laboratory at Ryhov County Hospital in Jönköping.

Denna undersökning berör de genuskonstruktioner som finns i skapandet av actionhjältinnor. Jag har valt att undersöka Salt (2010) Sucker Punch (2011) samt Resident Evil:Retribution (2012) Undersökningens frågeställningar är, Hur motiveras användande av våld då det utförs av kvinnliga actionhjältinnor? Vilka arketyper går att urskilja i representationerna av kvinnliga actionhjältinnors våldsutövande? Vilka symboler går att urskilja i kvinnliga actionhjältinnors utövande av våld? Min undersökning grundar sig i teorier om genus med utgångspunkt i Raewyn Connel, för att vidare knyta det samman till Stuart Halls representationsteorier samt stereotypifiering. Teoriavsnittet avslutas sedan med kvinnlig medieforskning från Liesbeth Van Zoonen samt Laura Mulvey. Min tidigare forskning grundar sig i en förklaring till hur den manlige hjälten genom tiden har representeras och vad som är representativt för denne. Den andra delen som utgör min tidigare forskning berör Rikke Schubarts forskning om genomgående arketyper som kvinnliga actionhjältinnor genom tiden blivit porträtterade som, detta för att kunna undersöka huruvida dessa även i samtiden finns kvar i skapandet av kvinnliga actionhjältinnor. I min undersökning har jag kunnat framställa att motivet till våld faller tillbaka på de representationer som finns av kvinnor respektive män, våra förutfattade meningar och stereotypa bilder om vad som är manligt och vad som är kvinnligt. Kvinnliga actionhjältinnor porträtteras även i samtida filmer i form av genomgående arketyper, och de symboler som går att urskilja i våldet är rotade i manligheten.

Currently there are many programs which draw drawings, but they do not count the measurements of the detales. CAD – Computer Aided Development systems widely used in the world. Three dimensional modeling systems, like AutoCAD, 3DS Max and similar are well known. Unfortunately these systems are quite complicated and expensive. It takes a lot of time and money to train company workers to use these systems. Small companies are not capable to do it. So naturally there comes demand on more simple and cheaper systems. The main objective of this project is to create low complicated small-medium size count the measurements of the detales systems, more concrete – the informational system to count differential operations punch presses, which include GOST standart presses, punches and swages. There were made an analysis of existing punch presses planning software and customer needs in this work. In these days computer graphics usage is growing extremely fast, so naturally it increases needs to use such data into databases, transferring, standardization and so on.

A study of longitudinal Hadronic shower leakage and the development of a correction for its associated effects at √s = 8 TeV with the ATLAS detector

In the high energy environment of the Large Hadron Collider, there is a finite probability for the longitudinal tail of the hadronic shower represented by a jet to leak out of the calorimeter, commonly referred to as longitudinal hadronic shower leakage, or jet 'punchthrough'. This thesis prescribes a method for identifying such 'punch-through' jets via the use of muon activity found behind a jet in the ATLAS muon spectrometer, finding an occurrence rate of up to 18% in the worst affected regions. 'Punch-through' jets were found to degrade the measured jet energy scale by up to 30%, and jet energy resolution by a factor of 3. A correction to remove these effects was developed in Monte Carlo and validated in data, with associated systematic uncertainties derived. The correction was found to negate the degradation of the measured jet energy scale, improving the jet energy resolution by up to 10% in the worst affected regions, and up to 1.6% overall. The correction was integrated into the final 2012 ATLAS jet energy calibration scheme as the fifth step of the Global Sequential corrections. The prescription developed in this thesis to derive the correction is currently being used by ATLAS in Run II of the Large Hadron Collider.

I ABSTRACT Title: Kinesiological analysis of upper limb punch strike in sports karate. Aim of work: The aim of this thesis to describe and characterize the muscle involement in direct punch strike in karate. Then compared with the exercises, which are characteristic to karate - strikes with resistence and push-up exercise. Methods: Work is processed by a comparative analysis of selected movements based on the determination of muscle activation. The surface electromyography method synchronized with video and accelerometer was used in this work. Results: The result is describtion of selcted movements on the basis of muscle activation and function of selected muscles. The prove that the forearm extensors are activated as the last of the selcted muscles was managed. On the basis of karate technique and anatomy we confirmed important role of forearm extensor by direct punch in karate. The difference between onset time muscle activation by strikes and push up was found. Maximum speed of acral part of the upper limb by direct punch was established.
