Marketing health issues to tweens : recommendations for reaching this demographic more effectivelyKelly, Erin Joy 20 February 2012 (has links)
This paper explores public health campaigns as they relate to tweens and their use of technology. After considering how this demographic utilizes both traditional and new media, further examination was done on general health problems that affect this group. Three major health issues were then chosen for analysis. A relevant campaign for each issue was also evaluated, as were its overall marketing and communication efforts. The health problems and corresponding campaigns chosen include childhood obesity and the “Let’s Move” campaign, electronic aggression and the “Stop Bullying” campaign and youth suicide and the “WeCanHelpUs” campaign. From these analyses, recommendations for ways to improve each campaign were provided, as were general conclusions for reaching this demographic more efficiently and effectively. / text

Medberoende anhöriga: socialtjänstens arbete för att nå, fånga upp och erbjuda hjälp. : - En kvalitativ intervjustudie. / Co-dependent relatives: : the work of social services to reach, catch up and offer help - a qualitative interview studyAndersson, Ebba, Myrflott Sandell, Moa January 2022 (has links)
The purpose of this thesis is to understand how social workers, working for social services in Sweden, reach out, catch up and offer co-dependent relatives to individuals with alcohol- and/or substance abuse help. Scientific research show that co-dependent people often develop a dependent relationship to their relatives with addiction, which cause feelings of shame and stigmatization. To decrease the codependency and negative emotions the relative need professional help. This paper will focus on how social workers work with reaching out to co-dependent relatives and how they offer them help. For this reason, the paper will also giveperspective on how organisations can help to improve the work with relatives to people with alcohol- and substance abuse, as well as how the social workers can use their own discretion to reach out and catch up the relatives in need of emotional support. This study is based on seven social workers experiences (in six different municipalities) of including relatives to individuals with addictions to either alcohol, substances, or gambling problems in their work and offer them help.

Starting from the question of the recent management-oriented (inward-looking) attitude of medical social work, we explored (1) the background to the shift to management of work and (2) ways to overcome it through a review of historical data and qualitative surveys of medical professionals. The findings showed the importance of empathetic dialogue and recognition of the subject, and the three methods of 1) [connections beyond work] as a step toward organization, 2)creation of an environment and mechanism for [social work experience, and preparedness], then 3) [continuous involvement with patients in the outpatient setting]. / 博士(社会福祉学) / Doctor of Philosophy in Social Welfare / 同志社大学 / Doshisha University
