The actual research was possible due to the partnership between the Project APOIAR (SUPPORT) of the Laboratory of Mental Health and Clinical Psychology of the Institute of Psychology of USP University of Sao Paulo, and ABRELA ( Brazilian Association of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis ( ALS ). This study intends to investigate and better understand the Quality of Life and emotional aspects of health professionals in their relationship with ALS patients and their carers. ALS is a degenerative illness which affects motor neurons causing severe physical impediments, even tough its patients continue lucid up to their death. This illness does not have a prognosis of cure. We have applied the Clinical Method of survey and research on eleven professionals physicians, social workers, motor and respiratory physiotherapists, nutritionist and occupational therapist from de Department of neuromuscular of UNIFESP/ Federal Paulista Medical School and partnership with ABRELA. The study Instruments used were the Semi- Structured psychological Interview, the Rorschach Method ( the Evaluation System by Anibal Silveira) and the Questionnaire of Quality of Life. The collected data considered the group as a whole and not individuals. The main results point towards the maturity of the group of health professionals and their sensitivity related to the pain and suffering of patients, with answers showing affection and frustration due to impossibility of cure and success of treatment. The results show preserved Quality of Life and suggest that those health professionals work within their chosen specialty despite their difficulties. The study suggests the need of implementing programs which give health professionals the necessary support, as shown in this study, so that they can deal with their patients with serious and chronic illnesses such ALS.

When this confrontation turns into a failure to comply with juvenile court dispositions, it is necessary to understand these adolescents in order to design preventive interventions that might stop a criminal path into adult life. The present study aims to investigate the psychic functioning of a group of 30 young offenders, who were given a non-custodial sentence. These adolescents were classified in 3 groups, according to the level of lawful resistance (low, medium and high). The research was conducted in one of the Greater São Paulo Juvenile Courts, and it included interviews, psychological assessment using Rorschach Test, as well as reading prosecution files. Data from interview and prosecution files were categorized and described. The Rorschach Test results were analysed according to French (Paris School) methodology. The analysis considered quantitative aspects and it covered qualitative data from three cases, one of each group

Koncept extraverze-introverze na pozadí umělecky tvořivé osobnosti / Extraversion-introversion concept based on an artistic-creative personalityHeinová, Dana January 2017 (has links)
The theme of this thesis is to investigate the dimensions of extraversion-introversion as one of the fundamental characteristics of human personality. In the theoretical part, we are bringing a brief history of efforts to define and describe this dimension, and we also introduce some current concepts and appropriate diagnostic methods. Furthermore, in the theoretical part, we briefly focus on the specifics of personality dimensions of extraversion in the context of artistically creative personality. The aim of this work is not to contribute to answering the question about the existence of a relationship between the creative artistic process and a creator's introversion or extraversion. Artists are a psychologically widely studied group so we decided to use some specific knowledge about their extraversion or introversion in our research. The aim of the practical part of our thesis is to contribute to the search for the possible connections between personality theories of H. Rorschach and H. J. Eysenck. Both theories and methods (the Rorschach test and Eysenck Personality Questionnaire - EPQ-R) are based on the neurobiological characteristics of the individual and typical ways of responding but they differ in their approach. H. J. Eysenck's assumption of rather less extraversion of artists, as well...

The efficacy of the Rorschach among black learners in South AfricaMoletsane, Mokgadi Kekae 14 September 2004 (has links)
In this study the original Rorschach test was administered to ten black South African adolescents, all fourteen years of age. Originally, the Rorschach’s test norms have been determined for an American sample. Using a qualitative research design in this study, the standard Rorschach test was administered in two phases, namely the pre-test and the post-test. Ten case studies were used as a format for research. During the pre-test the standard RCS procedures were strictly adhered to. The participants were never exposed to psychological tests before and reacted differently when presented with the Rorschach Inkblot cards for the first time. For instance, some of them were uncertain, nervous and reacted with shock. According to Exner&Weiner (1995:33) when less than 14 answers are given in response to the Rorschach test, the results cannot be interpreted. The participants were therefore required to give 14 or more answers. During the pre-test phase five out of 10 gave 14 and more responses whereas five gave less than 14 responses. The total responses of the 10 participants were 127 with an average of 12,7. The factors that inhibited the participants from giving 14 or more responses were identified and analysed. Adjusted or modified RCS procedures were then designed with the explicit aim of accommodating the participants’ culture, beliefs and background. The participants were re-tested with the adjusted RCS (ARCS) during the post-test phase. In this phase, eight participants gave 14 or more responses and only two participants gave less than 14 responses. The number of responses increased when the ARCS was administered. The total responses of the 10 participants were 161 with an average of 16,1. The results indicate an increase of 34 responses with an average increase of 3,4 responses for each participant. The research findings indicate that the ARCS was a more appropriate and effective administering test procedure when testing black South African adolescents as compared to the standard RCS. It is recommended that when administering the Rorschach Comprehensive System among non-western participants, that the factors that could prevent them from giving sufficient responses should be identified and analysed in order to modify the test procedures. The examiners could in this way minimise biases when administering psychological tests. / Thesis (PhD (Educational Psychology))--University of Pretoria, 2005. / Educational Psychology / unrestricted

Adolescence, marked by the emergence of puberty and the resurgence of sexual and aggressive drives, engages an internal work linked to psychic transformations and to the emergence of genital sexuality. Puberty can therefore intrude and cause trauma, hurting the subject who is more or less ready to bear the constraint to change induced by the pubertal process. In reference to the theoretical psychoanalytic model, we are interested in the study of the way in which adolescents are confronted with the influx of excitations, both external and internal, through a psychic treatment, by a work of mentalisation and symbolisation, or behavioural, or somatic, by the language of the body or the use of sensoriality. Indeed, whatever the mental capacity of the adolescent, a transient vulnerability of the mental apparatus is expected at this age of life. Our work thus proposes to explore the treatment of excitation in adolescence, evidenced by the study of the quality of several psychic movements: narcissism, protective-shield system, sensoriality and body language, as well as the processes of thought through the study of mentalisation and symbolisation. Our research object thus questions the quality of the treatment of excitation, through the putting into perspective of these four conceptual dimensions, likely to expose a better process approach of adolescence. On the basis of the main hypothesis that the processing of the excitation is multifactorial, the objective of this study is to determine how the articulation of the different concepts studied is able to account more sensibly for the treatment of excitation in adolescence. The projective methodology was chosen to test this hypothesis using grids referred to the above four dimensions. We met 17 teenagers aged 14 to 18 years old who passed the Rorschach and TAT. In a comparative approach, we studied the treatment of excitation with two age groups (14-16 years and 16-18 years). The results highlight differences in the treatment of adolescent arousal between the two age groups, with the younger ones preferring inhibition, the older age groups being more able to mentalise and symbolize the excitation. According to our general hypothesis, the projective analysis of the four dimensions of our work allows a finer approach for each adolescent to the specificities of the treatment of excitation.

Aux sources de l'originaire dans le désir d'enseigner : approche clinique et projective / Analyzing the sources of origin in the desire to teach : clinical and projective approachCayot Decharte, Angélique 30 November 2017 (has links)
This research focuses on the desire to teach that motivates the choices of a career and of the mutual encounter between the adult and the child, either in an ordinary school or a special educational setting for learning difficulty or severe disability needs. It aims at exploring the origins of the desire of teachers, on the one hand, through clinical research interviews, and on the other hand, by focusing on the underlying dynamics of drives, identifications and fantasies through projective testing. Caught up in the "rule of metaphor" of the Pygmalion myth, which was revisited by Kaës (1973) based on Freud's child beating fantasy concept (1919), teaching addresses mobile fantasized scenarios where identifications between the adult and the child are intertwined and reversible, turning around active and passive positions of the subject. The desire to teach is part of an evident narcissistic domain, restoring the sense of continuity of being and of an ideal self-image. However, the quest for differentiation, rooted in infantile psychosexuality (Chabert, 2011), is also played out, inevitably summoning gender differences and psychic bisexuality. Lastly, given the reciprocity between the desire to impart and to learn, teaching a child means encountering the Unknown which Rosolato (1978) defined as the fundamental relationship between the desire and the ideal; a relationship that questions the unknown in oneself, the mystery of one's origins and evoke primal fantasies which relate to questions of birth, death and primitive scenes. Enigmatic tools, such as the Rorschach and the TAT, produce fixated images and insistent repetitions on specific cards which summon fantasies echoing those at play in the encounter between the adult and the child of oedipal, latency or adolescent age.

To study the artists personality by means of the Rorschach method is, for Classic Psychology, a known task. To observe the evolution of the factors related to the personality is very rare due to the need to keep in touch with the same individuals, and to employ the same methodologies, with the goal of enhancing the know-how of specific subjects that are connected to the development of creativity, psychology, and art. With the objective of characterizing personality traits and their distinct manifestations under the influence of: maturity, practice, professional experience and psychosocial aspects, four female artists, were individually submitted to the Rorschach Test, in two distinct moments of their lives: 1988 and 2005. An increase in productivity and quality was observed in regards to intellectual activities, with the individual having a more practical and balanced perception. As the contact with reality, objectivity, and acceptance of group guidelines increased there was a decrease in the adaptation of the average intellect. The individuals submitted to the test demonstrated to have a flexible personality with multiple resources: increased creativity, reasoning capacity, a growing emotional sensitivity, and an evolution of the affectionate responses. In analyzing this type of life we observed a greater introversion, and in the psychic dynamic there was a predominance of the intellect side in detriment of the emotional one. Diverse interests flowing from core ones to those related to: daily, primary, and intellectual ones. Other important results that are important to mention are: increased activity, increased subjectivity, and decrease in the impulsiveness. It is important to mention that the individuals, submitted to the test, demonstrated many unusual reaction mechanisms during the Studys two phases. The productivity and other corresponding signs showed sensitivity to the demonstration of affection and the passage of time. The application of the Rorscharch Test in Artists produced a group of factors that were representative of their respective personalities. A marked counterpoint became evident: creative productivity with own style versus a strong un-adaptive subjectivity.

Previous issue date: 2004-09-30 / The present work deals with the historical process of the contact between the
Brazilian society and the Karajá people, from the native village Hãwalo Mahãdu (Santa
Isabel do Morro), in the Bananal Island (Ilha do Bananal), state of Tocantins.
The work aims to unveil the Karajá world - marked by this contact through codes
and images collected through the Rorschach Psychodiagnostics plates as well as the
ethnographic listening, through speeches, hearings, and life stories. The author
investigates the impact of this history of contacts of over 300 years on the lives of the
Karajá people, today, going through painful and challenging experiences, such as
alcohol addiction, malnutrition and diseases, including infant mental disruption, in
addition to the threats of the construction of the Araguaia-Tocantins waterway and
construction of the road to the Bananal Island, which will destroy their natural habitat.
The Rorschach psychodiagnosis, applied in the Karajá dialect, to over 40
individuals, reveals the deepest values kept by these people while it also reveals the
results of the malefic contact with the colonizing world. The test reveals a people who
still preserve a holistic relationship with their surrounding world. This result, gathered
through the application of Rorschach is confirmed by the life of the village: their myths
and rituals, their language, their cultural paintings and feasts, which are signs of
resilience and cultural survival of the sons and daughters of the Berohokÿ.
do Bananal-TO.
as quais a bebida alcoólica, a desnutrição e as doenças, inclusive a loucura infantil , e
