This dissertation discusses the emergence of the dance in graduate studies at universities in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It rethinks some hegemonic notions of dance by looking at how knowledge in dance is produced and inscribed in the body, and the implications of this understanding for graduate studies. Between 2012 and 2014, six sets of experiments were carried out in graduate courses. The experiments presented the concept of performative practices in dance, cultivating a Drawing on elements of Performance Studies- from which Practice Research derives -, Presence Studies, and Foucault Studies for theoretical and methodological support, the dissertation examines how the participants self-produced knowledge from improvisation notions, spaces of action and self-inscription, and intense instant. The data was analyzed using Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analysis (LMA/BF), improvisation procedures, and Somatic Education. The dissertation demonstrates the value of formative dance in graduate courses for transiting between per-forming and learning.

(1576-1612): rekonstrukce na základě císařských účetních knih / The Musical Entourage of Rudolph II (1576-1612) reconstructed from the Imperial Accounting LedgersRossi, Michaela January 2016 (has links)
of the Dissertation The Musical Entourage of Rudolf II (1576-1612) reconstructed from the Imperial Accounting Ledgers Michaela Žáčková Rossi (2016, Supervisor: doc. PhDr. Petr Daněk Ph.D.) The proposed dissertation is undertaken as an attempt to make accessible the payments of the imperial court under Rudolf II concerning its musical life. Quite a century ago Albert Smijers published payments to the imperial musicians, but only to them of the chapel, while the other categories were considered unsystematically; but even among the "trometter", "kammermusici" and "servants on two and more horses" we find excellent composers. This dissertation, using the known sources and on the basis of new heuristics in the State Archives of Vienna, brings for the first time a complete list of all musicians of the Rudolf's court, including the period, function and wages development of their stay. Thanks to the extensive lists and graphs, it also present the specialization and career evolution of the Imperial musicians, number and quality of their extraordinary payments, bonuses etc. The conception of a first global view on the Rudolfine musical entourage in Prague will be complemented in a forthcoming monograph by a complete list of (Gnadengeld), it means "grace payments" to the musicians for their music dedications...

Puma Prague - Learning from the Sports Shoe IndustryVillanueva-Weinzierl, Gina, Schlegelmilch, Bodo B., Ambos, Björn January 2013 (has links) (PDF)
The case is set in the Fall of October 2005. Budget season is underway and the management team of Puma Prague, led by Piotr Cichecki as general manager, is finalizing its numbers before sending it off to Puma Austria. In general, RHQ in Austria has always supported Puma Prague. Recently, incidents have happened which were confusing and unclear. Erwin Kaiser, RHQ head in Puma Austria, was the point man for many years. Now times are changing. Puma Prague has a well established business. It sometimes took too much management time to "go through" RHQ.
Rumour has it that there would be changes within the company in the next year. Piotr has been invited to a late Fall November meeting for general managers. What is to be discussed is uncertain at this point. / Series: WU Case Series

České království v kronice Otakara Štýrského / Czech Kingdom in The Chronicle of Otakar of StyriaKošátková, Anna January 2015 (has links)
The subject of the Masters thesis The Czech Kingdom in The Chronicle of Otakar of Styria is the history of Czech Kingdom in the Otokar of Styrias versified cronicle. The goal of this work is a comprehensive view of that cronicle as a historic source of cetral European history during the second half of the 13th and the beginning of the 14th century. The Masters thesis includes an evaluation the relationships between the central European sources of that time. It investigates both, the knetty question of the autor's live story and his motivation for writing a work around 100 000 verses. In particular chapters, various social groups, which the author focuses on, are examined (royal houses, aristocracy, burgher class, people). No particular social group can be considered in isolation. Thier interrelations are highlighted in the thesis. Following section introduces Otakar's description of certain central European regions (Austria, Styria, Carinthia, Hungary, Polen and the Holy Roman Empire), which is the foundation of my attempt to discover the cronicler's source and information base. Used method is based on the analysis of cronicle sources and the study of historical materials. The history of the Kingdom of Bohemia results from the above mentioned circumstances. Based on this approach, the thesis of...

And that there still are domains where scientist haven’t ventured. This empirical study is done through an examination, using a qualitative method, of the book Naturligt vin written by Emil Broomé and Emil Arvidson. By using theories from Bruce Lincoln and Charles Tillys, this essay concluded that the natural wine movement can be defined and seen as a religious new age movement.

En bit landsbygd i staden : Anna Lindhagen, koloniträdgårdsrörelsen och vad den influerades av mellan 1900 och 1920 / A piece of countryside in the city : Anna Lindhagen, The allotment garden movement of Sweden and what it has been influenced by between 1900 and 1920Holsti Heijbel, Hedvig January 2022 (has links)
This essay aims to study the Swedish allotment garden in the first two decades of the 20th century from an urbanization perspective with a special focus on Anna Lindhagen, one of the pioneers of the movement in Sweden. By doing an idea analysis of texts written by Anna Lindhagen, Rudolf Abelin and the allotment garden associations of Stockholm and Gothenburg the essay aims to examine what reactions of urbanization the Swedish allotment garden movement expressed. The essay furthermore aims to study how the movement relates to the English, German and French allotment garden movements with the help of previous research done by Micheline Nilsen. By using dimensions as analytical tools the essay examines the Swedish allotment garden movement with four dimensions, urban planning, nurture, family and work. Furthermore, it shed light on the allotment garden movement's reaction to urbanization with the help of an urbanization perspective. The study has shown that the Swedish allotment garden movement can be seen as a critique of urbanization. The source material corroborates a dichotomy between the city and the countryside and attributes danger to the city while it sees the countryside as a natural place to live. Sweden's allotment garden movement could also be seen as a way to nurture the inhabitants of the city by giving them a relationship with nature and keeping them away from dangers like alcohol. The essay also shows that the Swedish movement has been influenced by both the English and the German movements. Because the French movement is younger than the other two international movements it hasn’t influenced the Swedish allotments as much. Both the Swedish and German allotments are called colonies, which shows that both of them had a similar purpose to attract people back to the countryside. Lastly, the study has shown that the Swedish allotment garden movement was influenced by the English garden city movement and can be seen as a compromise to the dichotomy of city and countryside.
