This research presents a study about the scenic construction of the character, based on body movement, and guided by the practical and theorical studies of Rudolf Von Laban choreology and Stanislavski tecnich. The foundation of this study was based on the idea of the man being an unit, as Gestalt BOBY-MIND-SPIRIT, which was present on Merleau-Ponty studies, in body consciousness and in the believe of the indivisibility of the human being. This project enquires the relation of each interpreter with his own body and how it interferes in the extension of his interpretation and in all the staging. The development of this research was based on these concepts, applied on two propositions: the pedagogic process of systematization of these ideas and the experimental on character construction, under the view of the performer / Mestrado / Artes / Mestre em Artes

Who's there? : monologues on painting, indexicality and perception. A thinking process.Spikbacka, Eva January 2021 (has links)
What we encounter in painting is not so much the authentically revealed self of the painter, but rather signs that insinuate that this absent self is somewhat present in it. /Isabelle Graw/ So, then what is a painting? Perhaps it is all about time, a certain amount of time in the constant murmuring stream of consciousness and the unconscious. A shape cut out of the amorphous. A recording of time spent in uncertainty, not knowing what is going to present itself. To bear the contradiction of in one hand allowing the permission of having an aim versus the absolute requirement of at some point let go of the model, the aim. And thus, submit to painting. In the glitch between distance and sensibility, an utterance, a pronouncement takes place. This text reflects a thinking process that revolves around painting as will and resistance, concepts regarding aesthetics, subjectivity and perception.

Rudolf Otto: Parallelen und Wertunterschiede im Christentum und BuddhatumLinke, Thomas 13 November 2024 (has links)
This is a new (and for the first time complete) edition of a speech about Buddhism by Rudolf Otto from 1913. This speech is his first academic reflexion of his journey around the world and his most detailed explanation of his view on this religion. In the first part of his speech Otto compares Buddhism with Christianity and finds a lot of parallels. In the second part he defines differences between these two religions and proclaims – from a Christian perspective – Christianity as more valuable than Buddhism. The preface puts the speech into its context: Otto’s relationship to and his knowledge of Buddhism (1), the history of publication of this speech (2), Otto’s specific view on Buddhism in comparison to his contemporaries (3), the meaning of this speech in his oeuvre (4) and explanations about the edition (5). The editor has the opinion, that this speech is an important transition from Ottos philosophy of religion to his main work The Idea of the Holy. It further is a good example of what Otto means when speaking about the comparison of religions.
