Schriftstelleranthologien in Deutschland und Frankreich / Anthologies of authors in Germany and France / Les anthologies d'écrivains en France et en Allemagne

Straubel, Hella 21 June 2013 (has links)
In this thesis, we study an object which, despite the great interest it presents, only little attention has been paid: anthologies of authors. In our first chapter, we try to define the theoretical field which determines our reflections by outlining, in the first place, the most important aspects of literary theories concerning the canon and, in a second step, exploring the notion of ‘museum’ that will guide our reflections throughout our paper. Our corpus includes three French-speaking and three German-speaking authors (André Gide, Paul Éluard and André Breton on the French side, and Hugo von Hofmannsthal, Rudolf Borchardt and Walter Benjamin on the German/Austrian one). Analyzing and interpreting their collections of poetry and prose, assembled with very different objectives, constitutes the core of our study. We observe that for the German-speaking authors, it’s the concept of ‘nation’ that takes the most prominent place in their work; deriving from a sentiment of crisis in the 1920s and 30sand of the lack of an identity frame that could unite Germany. Whilst a great part of their editorial work consists in an effort to establish that idea of a common German identity, the French authors on the other hand, confronted with a substantially different consciousness of crisis, try to develop a more literary solution. At the end of our study, we try to unite the different aspects of our interpretation by refining the idea of a “museum of literature” as it presents itself in the texts analyzed.

Büchnerovo drama "Vojcek" v českých překladech / Georg Büchner's Drama "Woyzeck" in Czech translations

Vepřeková, Helena January 2013 (has links)
The topic of this thesis is Georg Büchner's fragmentary drama Woyzeck. At the beginning, the work presents the playwright's biography set in the historical context and his work. It continues with the circumstances of Woyzeck's origin, the plot summary, description of the language of the play and problems with edition and decoding the manuscripts. The next part talks about the different concepts of Woyzeck in Czech theatres and what the reactions of the audience and the critics were. The work also briefly deals with Alban Berg's opera Wozzeck, the libretto and the reaction of the Czech audience. The focus of this thesis are the translations into Czech, especially a detailed analysis and comparison of Rudolf Vápeník's and Ludvík Kundera's translations. The analysis is based on Katharina Reiß' translation analysis model. Only Kundera's translation was found to be a functional one, Vápeník's translation is - according to the author of the thesis - obsolete.

Historik umění Rudolf Chadraba a jeho vědecké dílo / Art historian Rudolf Chadraba and his work

Johanidesová, Tereza January 2014 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to explore and evaluate the scientific work of art historian Rudolf Chadraba who is generally considered to be one of the founders and the most distinctive representatives of an iconological method in czech art history. The Master's thesis doesn't make efforts to survey Chadraba's scientific career from biographic point of view in a clearly and chronologically way, because the main focus of the interpretation lies on starting points of Chadraba's work, specific influences on him, particular motifs and themes, which are penetrating and reflected in his academical works of art historian and which therefore form his peculiar method. Biographical information about Rudolf Chadraba is introduced here only briefly, the text tends to point out Chadraba's transdisciplinary approach and his extensive conception of iconology. Moreover, it pays a lot of attention to influences of such personalities as Max Dvořák, Ladislav Cejp, Alois Dempf, Josef Strzygowski or Herbert Read, who represent important source of inspiration in Chadraba's scientific work. Theories and methods of these scholars in connection with Chadraba's interest in tradition and triumphalism in christian art initiated his pursuing parallels between european and oriental art, which were insufficiently employed in czech art...

Sakral Konst i Renässans och Nutid - En Betraktelse av Piero della Francescas "Kristi Dop"

Jensen, Christina January 2019 (has links)
Uppsala Universitet, Konstvetenskapliga institutionen, Konstvetenskap Christina Jensen, jensenkfz@gmail.com Sakral konst i Renässans och Nutid - En betraktelse av Piero della Francescas "Kristi Dop". Sacral Art in the Renaissance and Today - A Study of Piero della Francesca´s "Baptism of Christ". The aim of the study is to examine the relevance of sacral art to modern secular viewers. I have chosen the painting "Baptism of Christ" by Piero della Francesca from the Italian renaissance, since it has a well-known christological theme and narrative. I compare the impact of the painting on a renaissance viewer with the impact on a modern secular viewer. The intention is to find a common ground in these two viewers experiences, the inner signification behind the symbolic expressions in the painting. The renaissance viewer is rendered against a cultural context of Roman-Catholic theology with gnostic and neo-platonic cogitations. The modern viewer is described in relation to Protestant theology and to a modern existentialist context. In analysing the viewers experiences I use the iconography-iconology method, the hermeneutic theory of play and the theory of the aesthetics of reception.  In comparing these viewers experiences and using a process of demythologization a considerably older symbolic content emerges. This has a universal relevance and constitute the inner signification behind the symbols in the painting, relevant both for the viewer from the renaissance and for the modern viewer of today, as well as for a far more distant historical viewer. When the symbolic expressions from the Judeo-Palestinian context are excluded from the interpretation universal archetypes elucidates, these have a capacity to influence the modern individuals intellectual and spiritual cogitations.

The investigation presents a case study design as it is configured by the analysis of a limited set of situations in their several relationships relative to a specific process: a case in which the clinic method in anthroposophic medicine has been applied, having relative requirements for hearing and language disorders, creating the possibility of understanding the diagnostic steps inherent to this methodology, its different integrated qualitative perspectives in dialogue with the quantitative data, and the therapeutic strategies in varied scopes which arise during the conduction of such process, making up a clinic planning. This is one of the challenges that anthroposophic medicine must face in this practice from its epistemologic bases, trying to clasp the mankind in its complexity in physical, animical and spiritual perspective in their sensitivy and super-sensitivy reality, thus, in qualitative-quantitative approach. It was introduced in Brazil in the 1960s, having been reckoned as a medical practice by the Conselho Federal de Medicina in 1993. It has its epistemological foundations in the Anthroposophy, which is a scientic-philosophical movement begun in the early 20th century in Switzerland and Germany by the Austrian epistemological philosopher and educator Rudolf Steiner (1861 1925). Worldwidely, the anthroposophic medicine was begun by the Dutch doctor Ita Wegman in Switzerland between 1920 and 1924, having a progressive spread, initially in Europe, and afterwards, during the 20th century, towards the other continents. The unfoldings of this clinic method have been observed in the phonological practice, deepening the diagnostical possibilities with the enhancement of the therapeutical strategies focused on a binomial phoniatry-phonoaudiology, including other health and education professionals to form a community. The contributions for the health sciences in the present times, before their dilemmas and perspectives, have been observed, including epistemological reflexions, the humanization of procedures, researches, and the deepening in the use of natural therapeutics, including medicinal ones and salutogenical emphasis in its practice / O trabalho tem por objetivo investigar o método clínico na medicina antroposófica, identificar contribuições de sua abordagem para uma compreensão dos fenômenos da audição e linguagem na clínica foniátrica e identificar possíveis desdobramentos na construção de caminhos terapêuticos nos distúrbios da linguagem.

Využití kompetencí divadelního dramaturga v praxi učitele na Waldorfském lyceu / Using the qualification of a literary manager in the teaching practice at the secondary school Waldorfské lyceum

Černý, Matouš January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the ways of using the qualifications of a literary manager in the field of pedagogy and didactics, specifically while teaching at a secondary school called Waldorfské lyceum. In the first part the author deals with the characteristics of the two careers – as a literary manager and as a teacher, and defines the set of qualities that are necessary for these professions. Later he compares these two professions and seeks intersections and parallels between them and the parts they take in a theater environment and in a school environment respectively. In the next part he introduces the Waldorf education and its specifics with regards to the performing arts incorporated into the lessons, and analyses the drama poetics of Rudolf Steiner including his approach towards the manner of speech and the art of eurythmy. In the crucial third part of this thesis the author is describing his experiences as a teacher at the secondary school Waldorfské lyceum and looks into individual areas of his activities – projects of literary, performing, artistic and cultural character, particularly in relation to utilizing the qualitifations of a literary manager, obtained during the studies of Dramaturgy for Dramatic Theater on The Theater Academy of Performing Arts.

The Concept of History in the Thought of Rudolf Bultmann and Reinhold Niebuhr

Bragg, Joseph H., Jr. 01 January 1966 (has links)
The question of the nature and meaning of history has become increasingly important in contemporary thought. In theological circles, it has become the central theme of discussion. Thereare a number of reasons why this is so. The events of the times in which we live have brought about a definite rejection of any knowledge-equals-progress idea of history as well as a call for interpretation of the profound social crises which we confront. The widespread influence of existentialism, with its emphasis on relativism and subjectivism, has brought into question not only the nature of history, in terms of present reality, but also the validit of the historians' pursuits. Beginning from the point of Christian ethics and giving considerable attention to the nature of man, [Reinhold] Niebuhr develops his concept of history quite differently from [Rudolf] Bultmann. It will be the task of this paper to examine the idea of history in the thought of each of these men and then, through a critique and comparison, evaluate each in terms of their strengths and weaknesses as well as their similarities and differences.
