Parker / The purpose of this edition of the Sonate da chiesa for theorbo and organ from the Intavolatura di tiorba, opera prima (1669) of Giovanni Pittoni is to make available a clear, modern notation of the theorbo part, which appears in the score in Italian lute tablature, and to place the works within their performance context. This edition enables a keyboardist to read the solo theorbo part to help keep the ensemble together and to help create a continuo realization. Under usual circumstances a continuo player can read the part of the soloist and can use it to instruct how to realize the accompaniment. With tablature, however, the keyboardist is at a disadvantage, since most – practically all – do not read tablature. The accompanying text reveals how the works were used and how the continuo is to be realized, and suggests answers to the problems associated with continuo realization for bass instruments in a solo role. This score is not intended to make the music more accessible to the soloist, since theorbists are already skilled at reading tablature. Additionally, recreating the tablature was unnecessary, since the original source (or facsimile) is easily read. In addition, errors have been identified, and possible answers and solutions are provided.

Tracz / This report contains lesson plans, historical information and a theoretical analysis of the literature performed in the Spring Concert of the Sedan Jr./Sr. High Concert Band under the direction of Roselyn Sweaney. The recital was held on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 in the “New Gym” of the Sedan Jr./Sr. High School. The recital featured performances by the following ensembles: 5th Grade String Ensemble, 5th Grade Band, 6th Grade Band, 5th & 6th Grade Bands joined for 2 selections, Jr./Sr. High Concert Band. The 5th Grade String Ensemble played Lightly Row, This Old Man, French Folk Song, Bingo and The William Tell Overture. The 5th Grade Band played Downtown Blues, Sounds of Beale Street, Barbara Ann and Hard Rock Blues and the 6th Grade Band played Brave New World, Sir Lancelot, Percussion On Parade and Surprise Symphony. The 5th & 6th Grade Bands joined together to play Soul Swinger. The Jr./Sr. High Concert Band performed Crestwood by Nancy Seward, Shaker Variants by Elliot Del Borgo, Rock ‘N’ Roll Explosion! arranged by Jerry Nowak, America, The Beautiful arranged by Dale Casteel, Miss Liberty March by Karl King, arranged by James Swearingen. Lauren Miller also performed a trumpet solo, Aria by George Golterman. Lauren had received a “I” for her trumpet solo at State Music Festival. The concert was directed by Mrs. Rosie Sweaney and by ½ time teacher, Miss Trish Roudybush. This was Miss Roudybush’s first year of teaching, following her student teaching and implementation of the string program at Sedan during the 2007-08 school year.

Jochum. The pieces examined in the theoretical and historical analysis for this report are Old Churches by Michael Colgrass, Little Suite for Band by Clare Grundman, This Is My Father’s World by Franklin L. Sheppard with hymn setting by Fred J. Allen, and Prelude and Primal Danse by Ed Huckeby. This document also contains rehearsal plans and procedures for the preparation of the literature. The recital was performed on March 7, 2008 in Hart Recital Hall on the campus of the University of Central Missouri, and was performed by the members of the Leeton High School Concert Band as well as guest performers from the University of Central Missouri Wind Ensemble.

This report focuses on subtleties in different musical elements composed for the two films Francis and The Pink Cloud Syndrome, produced at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts between 2014 and 2015. Examples of how subtleties in the film scores were intentionally implemented in relation to the films are provided to give the reader an insight to this specific topic. Through analysis and reflections it was shown that subtleties could be found in every musical element addressed in this report at some point in the films. / <p>Bilaga: 1 DVD</p>

Statistically significant reductions in scores from initial pretreatment testing to subsequent pretreatment testing in self-report measures are a widespread phenomenon (Arrindell, 2001). If valid, these reductions reflect improvement in psychological functioning absent any formal treatment (Arrindell, 2001). Many explanations for these reductions in scores have been offered (Arrindell, 2001) including assessment reactivity (Epstein et al., 2005), social desirability (Henderson, Byrne, & Duncan-Jones, 1981); and mechanical responding (Bromet, Dunn, Connell, Dew, & Schulberg, 1986; Durham et al., 2002). However, relatively few studies have examined this phenomenon empirically. Even fewer studies have examined pretreatment improvements in parent ratings. The present study sought to replicate the pre-treatment effect and to evaluate potential causes of these changes, specifically, repeated assessment, social desirability, and mechanical responding. Additionally, the study examined the relationship between maternal depression and parent ratings. Participants included 28 self-referred mothers and their children, though only 17 completed the study in its entirety. Results indicated pretreatment reductions in maternal ratings of child symptomatology and parenting stress. Repeated assessment was not supported as a cause of pretreatment improvements (score reductions). Social desirability, however, may have been a factor in the mothers’ ratings. Mechanical responding did not appear as a likely cause. Maternal symptoms of depression were associated with less change over the course of the study. Clinical implications, study limitations, and suggestions for future research are discussed.

In the summer of 2008, two hurricanes made landfall along the Texas coast causing billions of dollars in damage. Texas received presidential disaster declarations, which resulted in the state receiving over $350 million in hazard mitigation funds. Over 500 requests for mitigation projects were submitted to the government from communities impacted. Not all requested projects could be funded. As a result, those communities that submitted requests for well-defined mitigation projects were the primary beneficiaries of the federal mitigation funds. To better understand the factors that characterize a “welldefined” mitigation project, this study developed an index to rate the completeness and quality of mitigation project definitions. The study incorporated concepts from research on quality community planning and from project definition rating methods. The rating tool consists of detailed descriptions of the project scope elements along with a scoring method for the completeness and quality of the project’s definition. In today's changing society, companies need to work with continuous change and improvement to evolve with the market. It is therefore important for managers to learn how to manage teams because they are expected to streamline selected products or processes in the business. Employees and teams need to develop in line with the changing environment in this process feedback is a tool and an important pillar. Leaders must learn to manage and transform feedback into something useful. The purpose of this study was to create an understanding of how systems-based feedback in the form of employee surveys can be a support for the leader in team development. We wanted to identify relevant behaviors and actions of the leader that may increase the work with feedback. Further examined how the NPS method can assist in monitoring system-based feedback. In our theoretical framework we outline the theories that underpin the study, which lands in a self-constructed analysis model containing four themes; feedback process, the group becomes team, lead the team and employee input. To gain a deeper understanding of the different themes we chose to do a qualitative study in which we later interviewed six respondents from two different companies. Respondents gave us different insights into the use of feedback. This eventually resulted in six aspects that relate to behaviors and practices of how a leader can use and utilize system-based feedback, in the form of employee surveys.
