Écriture, histoire et identité : la production écrite monastique et épiscopale à Saint-Sauveur de Redon, Saint-Magloire de Léhon, Dol et Alet/Saint-Malo (milieu du IXe siècle – milieu du XIIe siècle) / Writing, identity and history : monastic and episcopal textual production at Saint-Sauveur de Redon, Saint-Magloire de Léhon, Dol et Alet/Saint-Malo (middle of the ninth century - middle of the twelfth century)

Garault, Claire 17 September 2011 (has links)
Basing our analysis on the exemples of those two abbeys and those two episcopal sees, we shall see how the writing of texts interact with the ideological and cultural framework of the time. On a broader level, this study is rooted in the historical revision on the fonction and uses of the past and how, in particular, it may come to shape the identities of the monastic communities and the episcopal sees. We shall focus on the whole textual production, be it hagiographic, historiographic or diplomatic, in the light of the recent developments in hagiographic studies as regards the practice of writing. The analysis of how the founding events in the history of the monastic communities and the episcopal sees were recorded into words and then put into perspective has revealed that it was at the key moments when the ecclesiastical and secular powers were redefined – especially in the second half of the ninth century and from the end of the eleventh century to the middle of the twelfth century – that they all took to writing down the memory of their past, elaborating discursive strategies that would legitimize or delegitimize contemporary events

Statistical Method for Extracting Radiation-Induced Multi-Cell Upsets and Anomalies in SRAM-Based FPGAs

Perez Celis, Juan Andres 23 November 2021 (has links)
FPGAs are susceptible to radiation-induced effects that change the data in the configuration memory. These effects can cause the malfunction of the system. Triple modular redundancy has extensively been used to improve the circuit's cross-section. However, TMR has shown to be particularly susceptible to radiation effects that affect more than one memory cell such as Multiple Cell Upsets (MCU) or micro-Single Event Functional Interrupts (micro-SEFI). This work describes a statistical technique to extract Multi-Cell Upset (MCU) and micro-SEFI events from raw radiation upset data. The technique uses Poisson statistics to identify patterns in the data. The most common patterns are selected using Poisson statistics. The selected patterns are used to reconstruct MCU events. The results show the distribution of MCU, micro-SEFis, and single-bit upsets for several radiation tests. Additionally, the results show the MCU distribution based on the number of bits affected by the event. This work details the process of reconstructing MCU data and also the process to use these data during a fault injection campaign. The results show that by using MCU fault injection it is possible to replicate failures seen in the radiation test and even induce more failures than seen in the radiation test. This shows the importance of extracting MCUs from radiation data and use them to evaluate TMR-protected designs.

Vztah Svatého stolce a Francie na počátku 20. století / The Relationship between the Holy See and France at the Beginning of the 20th Century

Myslilová, Tereza January 2015 (has links)
The thesis will focus on the development and transformation of diplomatic relations between France and the Holy See at the beginning of the 20th century. The author will analyze the assumptions of separation between the two mentioned countries, which occurred in December 1905, and caused the exclusion of the Church from political life in the country. The aim of the work will be analysis, description and interpretation of changes of relations between the two countries in the years 1904/1905-1921 including the restoration of diplomatic relations and the stabilization of relations after a long and dramatic rupture, which has not been processed in contemporary Czech ecclesiastical historiography up-to-day.

Svatý stolec a fašistická Itálie na cestě k vyřešení římské otázky ve 20. letech 20. století / The Holy See and the fascist Italy on the way to solving Roman question in the 20s of the 20th century

Dvořáčková, Petra January 2016 (has links)
In her diploma thesis "The Holy See and the fascist Italy on the way to solving Roman question in the 20s of the 20th Century", the author shall address the relation between the Holy See and the fascist Italy within the period of 1922-1929. She shall undertake an analysis of the development and transformation of this relation from Benito Mussolini's rise to power until the adoption of the Lateran Treaties. Simultaneously, the author shall focus on political- religious circumstances affecting this relationship, such as the assassination of a socialist parliamentarian Giacomo Matteotti in 1924 contextualized within the then development of Italy. The thesis shall primarily draw on the studies of selected sources (editions, press) as well as foreign scholarly literature.

Perceived location of virtual content measurement method in optical see through augmented reality

Khan, Farzana Alam 09 August 2022 (has links) (PDF)
An important research question for optical see through AR is, “how accurately and precisely can a virtual object’s perceived location be measured in three dimensional space?” Previously, a method was developed for measuring the perceived 3D location of virtual objects using Microsoft HoloLens1 display. This study found an unexplained rightward perceptual bias on horizontal plane; most participants were right eye dominant, and consistent with the hypothesis that perceived location is biased in eye dominance direction. In this thesis, a replication study is reported, which includes binocular and monocular viewing conditions, recruits an equal number of left and right eye dominant participants, uses Microsoft HoloLens2 display. This replication study examined whether the perceived location of virtual objects is biased in the direction of dominant eye. Results suggest that perceived location is not biased in the direction of dominant eye. Compared to previous study’s findings, overall perceptual accuracy increased, and precision was similar.

Hasselrot, Klas January 2021 (has links)

Sustainable consumption and production, a socioscientific issue : - An analysis of upper secondary school students' argumentation about vegetarian diet.

Högfeldt, Richard January 2023 (has links)
This study intended to examine Swedish upper secondary school students' argumentation related to the socioscientific issues about sustainable consumption and production, where the students take a position more specifically about a vegetarian diet. Examining sustainable development as an SSI becomes natural here as it is a constantly emerging feature in both the media but also within the school where it is used to give students a developing knowledge to be able to make informed decisions for future problems. This gave the idea to sustainable consumption and production which is one of the sub-goals (goal 12) of the UN goals for sustainable development which can be linked to the question of whether expanding vegetarian diets in schools would be better for sustainable development. In order to understand students' informal argumentation, the choice is to use the SEE-SEP model, which was used as a tool that gives the possibility to categorize arguments and gain an understanding of which grounds the arguments were based upon. The study will also examine the students' development of arguments during the course of the study to examine if there are changes to the argumentations during the study. The results show that students chose to mainly use environment/ecology and science-based arguments during the course of the study. An overview of the arguments shows that the students choose to use the knowledge aspect as their main support when it comes to the design of the arguments. The process of the study shows that there are changes in the design of the arguments and which categories are chosen to build the arguments.
