Mytologie reklamní kampaně Samsung Galaxy Note / Mythologies in Samsung galaxy note advertising campaognKecerová, Martina January 2015 (has links)
This diploma thesis discusses modern myths that appear in the selected audiovisual commercials. The commercials are part of the advertising campaign for a Galaxy Note 3 device produced by Samsung Company. The campaign was launched in the fall of 2013 and continued through the spring 2014. As Samsung is also one of the official partners of the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, some of the analyzed content is dedicated to the relationship between the two. Semiotics and marketing communication provide a broad theoretical framework for the later semiotic analysis. The chapter on semiotics discusses the modern perspective on the sign theory, offering Ferdinand de Saussure's and Charles Sanders Peirce's points of view. The main focus of the thesis is, however, on the process of the so-called secondary signification and modern myths creation introduced by Roland Barthes in his Mythologies. The marketing communication chapter then introduces several theoretical starting points in the field, various marketing models, and the communication mix with the focus on advertising, its components and potential psychological effects. In the final part, selected commercials are introduced along with the plot description and a semiotic analysis of the environment, characters, individual elements, images, colors and the...

Písmo a obraz v českom a slovenskom umení 50. a 60. rokov 20. storočia / Word and Image in Czech and Slovak Art in the 50's and 60's of 20th CenturyHachlincová, Lenka January 2015 (has links)
(in English) This dissertation paper deals with the transformation of the relationship letter and image in the Czechsoslovakian art in the 1950s and 1960s, interpreted from the point of view of the cultural and social events not as the history of art, but history of reality representation. The objective of the paper is to create a more complex view of various levels of integration of letter and image in domestic environment, so it approaches the phenomena of letter and image from a specific interpretation point of view based on three main lines. Mapping the phenomena of letter and image in the context of that period in Czechoslovakia, which preceded work structuralizing, was the base of the first interpretation line which bases the core of work on four social "activators", which, in the mind of an artist, activated the need to incarnate letter and image. Since the subject of the paper is the letter as a material manifestation of the language, the second interpretations line follows the purposeful modification of the language structure between the signifiant and signifié, which occurs in visual imaging. The third interpretation line puts the first two into a broader, aesthetic and philosophical context due to which, more complex language structures entering the art of work can be identified. Using...

Su maistu susijusių kultūrinių skirtumų atspindys reklamoje: semiotinis požiūris / Reflection of food-related cultural differences in advertisements: semiotic approachŪsaitė, Ina 01 July 2014 (has links)
[toliau žr. visą tekstą] / The object of this study is food-related cultural meanings in food advertising. This study attempts to theoretically establish the food-related cultural meanings that are being created via advertisements and to analyze them using the instrumentation of the semiotic method. In this study two main semiotic schools are introduced, including their development, main directions, most significant authors, the instrumentation of the method, main concepts that will be used. There has been a concept of advertising as such analyzed, also its development, main principles and the role it plays in a consumer society. The functions of food in a contemporary society and food-related meanings in different cultural layers have been investigated. It was investigated both how food advertising creates the cultural meaning and what social/cultural codes work in this process by using the semiotic method. The analyzed scientific studies show that the semiotic model is suitable for exhibiting the creation of cultural meanings in advertising. In order to examine the food-related cultural meanings, various works of sociology, anthropology, culture and other fields of science were taken into account. The findings of those works were systematized using the Geert Hofstede’s model (Hofstede, 1984). Food separates both the cultures and layers or individuals in a culture from each other. In the contemporary society, food is a marker of private and public spaces, as well as feminine and masculine fields. Food... [to full text]
