Este trabalho propõe a integração de técnicas de sensoriamento dinâmico, redes de dados sem fio e internet. A implementação dos nós da rede visa permitir o monitoramento de objetos que se movem tanto numa rede interna, limitada a uma edificação, quanto numa rede externa, através de coordenadas GPSs (Global Position Systems). A rede sem fio, que utiliza o protocolo ZigBee, é composta por sensores, atuadores e lâmpadas e é dotada de mobilidade através de controles remotos1. A rede ZigBee é integrada, através de um gateway, a uma rede TCP/IP para permitir o monitoramento e a atuação remota sobre ela, via um servidor HTTP e/ou uma rede de dados celular (GPRS), que, quando fora do alcance dos nós da rede ZigBee interna, torna-se responsável pelo envio de coordenadas GPS na rede externa, garantindo a onipresença do monitoramento. Além das adaptações na pilha TCP/IP e o desenvolvimento de um software que utiliza a rede GPRS para envio de coordenadas GPS, destacam-se, como contribuições originais desta tese: (i) a solução de problemas da pilha ZigBee original no tocante a endereçamento, que impossibilitava a mobilidade na rede - desta forma, uma nova técnica de endereçamento seqüencial foi implementada com sucesso; (ii) novo código que simulou o AES (Advanced Encryption Standard), tanto para encriptação quanto para desencriptação dos dados. Testes para validação dos protótipos desenvolvidos são apresentados / This MSc Thesis proposes the integration of dynamic sensing techniques, wireless data network and Internet. The implementation of network nodes aims to allow monitoring of moving objects, either inside an internal network, limited to one area, or in an external network, through GPS\'s (Global Position Systems). The wireless network, which uses the ZigBee protocol, is composed of sensors, actuators and lamps, and is endowed with mobility through remote controls. Thus, it is integrated, through a gateway, to a TCP / IP network to allow remote monitoring and acting on it via an HTTP server and / or a mobile data network (GPRS), responsible for sending the GPS coordinates on the external network, ensuring the ubiquity of monitoring. Further to adaptations in the TCP/IP stack and the development of a software that uses GPRS protocol to send GPS coordinates, the main contributions of this work are: (i) proposal of a new addressing technique, based on a sequential numbering of nodes, instead of the standard one, thus solving problems related to mobility in the network; (ii) proposal of a new security code to emulate AES (Advanced Encryption Standard), either for data encryption or decryption. Using the functions defined in WS-Trust, applications can engage in secure communication after establishing trust. BPEL is a language for web service composition that intends to provide convenient and effective means for application integration over the Internet. For the gastronomy facilities it's very difficult to keep their position in the gastronomy market. If the restaurant wants to be successful it must reflect need and expecations of its customers. The most important factors are: environment of restaurants, excellent cuisine, professional service and good marketing. The facility can use a lot of marketing tools, which are constantly changing due to rapid development of information and communication technologies. The aim of this thesis is interpretation of discount sites as a new marketing tool for gastronomy facilities. Theoretical part deals with general marketing issues in gastronomy and it describe the principle of discount sites. The aim of the practical part is to gain practical knowledge and experiance how the model of discount servers it works in the gastronomy sector. The issue is analyzed from two points of view. The first is from gastronomy facility (how gastronomy facilities use discount servers and what positives bring to them). The second point of view is the angle from customer, whether the client is satisfied with the offer of discount servers. Materials for this section were obtained on the basis of interviews with some of discount sites, with co-owner of the restaurant "Mimoměsto" who used 3 times the offer discount servers in the past and on fieldwork based on research in 15 selected gastronomy facilities which participated on discount servers. Discount sites are very young dynamic industry, which began flourish in the CR. Czech customers are getting used to them and like them. In the future is expected growth in turnover of discount sites, but a reduction of their number to keep only reliable ones on the market.

A usabilidade é um requisito valioso para os produtos de Sistemas de Informação. A avaliação de usabilidade está cada vez mais se tornando uma parte importante do processo de desenvolvimento de software. O objetivo deste trabalho é propôr uma abordagem para suportar avaliação de usabilidade de sistemas web por meio da análise de arquivos de log dos servidores web. A metodologia desenvolvida neste trabalho consiste em filtrar arquivos de log, para capturar as tarefas realizadas, e comparar com um modelo descritivo das tarefas possíveis de serem desempenhadas em um website. As tarefas realizadas são descritas pelos recursos web essenciais para o cumprimento dessas tarefas. As métricas de usabilidade obtidas deste processo podem indicar possíveis problemas de usabilidade. Métodos de avaliação de usabilidade mais detalhados podem ser aplicados para verificar ou não se estes problemas realmente ocorrem. Além disso, a comparação de métricas permite identificar o quanto positivas foram algumas mudanças com relação à eficácia e à eficiência na interação com o website em avaliação. Este trabalho resultou no desenvolvimento de uma ferramenta que recebe um arquivo de log referente a um website, filtra seu conteúdo, de acordo com páginas web relacionadas a tarefas previamente cadastradas, e calcula métricas que quantifiquem a usabilidade do website avaliado. / Usability is a valuable requirement for Information Systems products. Usability evaluation is increasingly becoming an important part of software development process. The objective of this work is to propose an approach for supporting usability evaluation of web systems by analyzing log files of web servers. The methodology developed in this work is to filter log files, to capture the tasks performed, and compare with a model describing the possible tasks to be performed on a website. The tasks performed are described by web resources essential to the fulfillment of these tasks. The usability metrics obtained by this process can indicate possible usability problems. More detailed usability evaluation methods may be applied to verify whether or not these problems do occur. Furthermore, comparison of metrics identifies how positive some changes were with respect to the effectiveness and the efficiency of the interaction with the website in evaluation. This work resulted in the development of a tool that receives a log file relating to a website, filter content, according to web pages related tasks previously registered, and calculate metrics that quantify the usability of the evaluated website.

穩定狀態機率是讓我們了解各種排隊網路性能的基礎。在擬生死過程(Quasi-Birth-and-Death) Phase-type 分配中求得穩定狀態機率,通常是依賴排隊網路的結構。在這篇論文中,我們提出了一種計算方法-LU分解,可以求得在排隊網路中有多台服務器的穩定狀態機率。此計算方法提供了一種通用的方法,使得複雜的大矩陣變成小矩陣,並減低計算的複雜性。當需要計算一個複雜的大矩陣,這個成果變得更加重要。文末,我們提到了離開時間間隔,並用兩種方法 (Matlab 和 Promodel) 去計算期望值和變異數,我們發現兩種方法算出的數據相近,接著計算離開顧客的時間間隔相關係數。最後,我們提供數值實驗以計算不同服務器個數產生的離去過程和相關係數,用來說明我們的方法。 / Stationary probabilities are fundamental in response to various measures of performance in queueing networks. Solving stationary probabilities in Quasi-Birth-and-Death(QBD) with phase-type distribution normally are dependent on the structure of the queueing network. In this thesis, a new computing scheme is developed for attaining stationary probabilities in queueing networks with multiple servers. This scheme provides a general approach of consindering the
complexity of computing algorithm. The result becomes more
significant when a large matrix is involved in computation. After determining the stationary probability, we study the departure process and the moments of inter-departure times. We can obtain the moment of inter-departure times. We compute the moments of inter-departure times and the variance by applying two numerical methods (Matlab and Promodel). The lag-k correlation of inter-departure times is also introduced in the thesis. The proposed approach is proved theoretically and verifieded with illustrative examples.

Efficient system design: stability and flexibilityTekin, Salih 21 January 2011 (has links)
This thesis is concerned with queueing models where demand is allowed to exceed the system capacity, and also with the capacity sizing and pricing problem for heterogeneous products and resources under demand uncertainty. Our aim is to improve productivity and profitability.
In the first part of the thesis, we consider the dynamic assignment of servers to tasks in queueing networks where demand may exceed the capacity for service. The objective is to maximize the system throughput. We use fluid limit analysis to show that several quantities of interest, namely the maximum possible throughput, the maximum throughput for a given arrival rate, the minimum
arrival rate that will yield a desired feasible throughput, and the optimal allocations of servers to classes for a given arrival rate and desired throughput, can be computed by solving linear programming problems. We develop generalized round robin policies for assigning servers to classes for a given arrival rate and desired throughput, and show that our policies achieve the desired throughput as long as this throughput is feasible for the arrival rate. We conclude with numerical examples that illustrate the points discussed and provide insights into the system behavior when the arrival rate deviates from the one the system is designed for.
In the second part of the thesis, we consider the effects of inspection and repair stations on the production capacity and product quality in a serial line with possible inspection and repair following each operation. We consider multiple defect types and allow for possible inspection errors that are defect dependent. We construct a profit function that takes into account inspection, repair, and goodwill costs, as well as the capacity of each station. Then we compare the profitability of different inspection plans and discuss how to identify the optimal inspection plan.
Finally, in the third part of the thesis, we consider the capacity and pricing decisions made by a monopolistic firm producing two heterogeneous products under demand uncertainty. The objective is to maximize profit. Our model incorporates dedicated and flexible resources, product substitutability, and processing rates that may depend on the product and on the resource type. We provide the optimum prices and production quantities as functions of resource capacities and demand intercepts. We also show that investment in flexible capacity is only desirable when it is optimal to invest in dedicated capacities for both products, and obtain upper bounds for the costs of the dedicated capacities that need to be satisfied for investment in the flexible resource. We conclude with numerical examples that illustrate the points discussed and provide insights into how the optimal capacities and expected production quantities, prices, and profit depend on various model parameters.

Από τα μέσα της δεκαετίας του 1990 οι φορητές συσκευές έχουν συμβάλλει θεαματικά στη διευκόλυνση της καθημερινής ζωής των ανθρώπων και των επιχειρήσεων. Ειδικά τα τελευταία χρόνια με την τεράστια ανάπτυξη των έξυπνων τηλεφώνων (smartphones), των λειτουργικών στα οποία βασίζονται, την εύκολη και γρήγορη πρόσβαση στο διαδίκτυο οι συσκευές αυτές έχουν γίνει περισσότερο αυτόνομες. Σήμερα τα περισσότερα smartphones είναι μόνιμα συνδεδεμένα με το διαδίκτυο και οι συσκευές αυτές μπορούν να υποστηρίξουν standard HTTP και HTML. Όμως για τις περισσότερες υπηρεσίες του διαδικτύου υπάρχει και μία αντίστοιχη εφαρμογή που οι χρήστες πρέπει να κατεβάσουν, να εγκαταστήσουν και να τρέξουν. Έτσι, η χρήση των περιηγητών διαδικτύου από τις φορητές συσκευές περιορίζεται σημαντικά.
Λόγω αυτού του γεγονότος οι χρήστες είναι αναγκασμένοι να έχουν εγκατεστημένο ένα μεγάλο πλήθος εφαρμογών προκειμένου να εξυπηρετήσουν τις ανάγκες τους. Οι περισσότερες εφαρμογές απαιτούν συχνά ενημερώσεις και η κατάληξη αυτής της διαδικασίας είναι ο χρήστης να χάνει τον έλεγχο της διαχείρισης των εφαρμογών και να προκύπτουν διάφορα προβλήματα. Ένα από αυτά είναι ότι οι πληροφορίες του χρήστη γίνονται πιο ευάλωτες εξαιτίας των δικαιωμάτων πρόσβασης των εφαρμογών οι οποίες μπορεί να αλλάξουν με την ενημέρωση της εφαρμογής χωρίς ο χρήστης να το αντιληφθεί. Επίσης, είναι σύνηθες πολλές εφαρμογές να διαφέρουν ελάχιστα μεταξύ τους με αποτέλεσμα ο χρήστης να καταλήγει με περισσότερες εφαρμογές από ότι πραγματικά χρειάζεται, οι οποίες θα μπορούσαν να αντικατασταθούν από μία.
Στο πλαίσιο της παρούσας μεταπτυχιακής εργασίας, προτείνεται και υλοποιείται ένα σύστημα που σα σκοπό έχει να επιλύσει τα παραπάνω προβλήματα. Το σύστημα αποτελείται από μία web διεπαφή (web interface), κάποιες υπηρεσίες διαδικτύου (web services) και μία client εφαρμογή για φορητές συσκευές σε περιβάλλον Android. Ο διαχειριστής του συστήματος σχεδιάζει μέσω της web διεπαφής τη διάταξη και τη λειτουργικότητα της εφαρμογής, η οποία γίνεται διαθέσιμη στην client εφαρμογή μέσω μίας υπηρεσίας διαδικτύου που παράγει ένα αρχείο ρυθμίσεων. Η client εφαρμογή αναλαμβάνει τη «μετάφραση» του αρχείου και την παρουσίαση της τελικής εφαρμογής στον χρήστη. / Since the middle of 1990s mobile devices assist people in their daily life and business. The last few years the market of the smartphones has grown rapidly. The operating systems that they are built on and the fast and easy access on the Internet made these devices become more and more standalone. Today’s smartphones are permanently connected to the Internet and can support standard HTML and HTTP. Nevertheless, dedicated Internet applications are offered to replace generic www-browsers. For most services in the Internet users are requested to download, install and run special applications.
From user’s perspective, in order to service their needs they are forced to have installed too many applications which need to be updated regularly because new functionality is added. Because of this situation users lose control of this administrative process and problems arise quite often. One of them is that user’s personal information become vulnerable as the access rights of applications might change with each update without the user getting noticed for it. Moreover, it is common that many applications have very slight differences between them and as a result the user may end up having two or more applications installed assigned to perform the same task. These applications could eventually be replaced by one.
Within this postgraduate project a proposed system is built in order to address the issues mentioned above. The system consists of a web interface, some web services and a client application for Android mobile devices. Through the web interface, the administrator of the system constructs the layout and the functionality of an application. This application is then available to the mobile device through a web service that generates a configuration file. The client application parses the configuration file, constructs the application dynamically and presents it to the user.

uma questão prioritária na agenda da saúde pública mundial. Porém, ainda são poucos os
estudos sobre seu comportamento entre trabalhadores de instituições de ensino superior. Nesse
sentido, o objetivo deste estudo foi identificar e analisar a prevalência das doenças crônicas não
transmissíveis, como diabetes mellitus, hipertensão arterial, obesidade, dislipidemia e doenças
cardiovasculares e os fatores a elas associados, tendo por objeto de estudo servidores da
Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso - Campus Cuiabá. Trata-se de um estudo epidemiológico,
de corte transversal, que teve por amostra 474 servidores, aos quais aplicou-se um questionário
de auto-preenchimento anônimo. Foram realizadas análises descritivas e bivariadas, bem como
medidas de associação brutas e ajustadas, por meio do cálculo da Razão de Prevalência (RP),
com Intervalo de Confiança de 95%. Verificou-se que 50,7% dos servidores referiram possuir
pelo menos uma DCNT, sendo essa com associação significativa em relação à idade
cronológica, ao fato de ter ou não ter filhos e à baixa escolaridade. Em relação aos aspectos
nutricionais, o tipo de alimentação adotada apresentou exposição às DCNT, sendo de maior
prevalência o consumo de refrigerantes (RP= 1,47, IC 95% 1,05-2,06). Espera-se que este
estudo venha subsidiar ações de prevenção e de incorporação de hábitos saudáveis, bem como
a produção científica a ser socializada nos cursos de graduação e pós-graduação na disciplina
Saúde do Trabalhador e, sobretudo, contribuir com a melhoria da qualidade de vida dos
trabalhadores universitários. / The non-contagious chronicle diseases are present in contemporary society becoming priority
issue in the global health system agenda. However, there are still few studies about this behavior
among workers from graduate school institutions. So, the aim of this article is to identify and to
analyse the occurrence of the chronicle noncommunicable diseases diabetes mellitus, high blood
pressure, obesity and heart diseases and the factors associated to them in workers from the
Federal University of Mato Grosso – Cuiabá Campus. This is an epidemiological, transversal
study that had 474 servers per sample, to which was applied a self-fulfilling anonymous
questionnaire. Were performed Descriptive and bivariate analyzes, as well as association
measures Crude and adjusted, via calculation of the Prevalence Ratio (PR), with confidence
interval of 95%. It was found that 50.7% of the servers reported owning at least one NCD, which
were present with significant association in relation to chronological age, to the fact of having or
not having children and to a lower education. Regarding the nutritional aspects, the type of
feeding adopted presented exposure to NCD, being the most prevalent the consumption of soda
(PR= 1,47, CI 95% 1,05-2,06). It is expected that this study will subsidizes actions of prevention
and the adoption of healthy habits, as well as the scientific production to be socialized in
undergraduate and graduate courses inside the discipline Occupational Health and, particularly,
contribute with improving the quality of life of university servers.

It may help in the development of conditions that motivate employees, providing a suitable environment for the execution of tasks, facilitating personal development and promoting interaction between the parties. Realizes that it is the subject of interest to many segments as addresses issues directly related to the well-being of people in different situations. The environment chosen for this study was the Federal University of Paraíba - UFPB - Campus I, located in João Pessoa - PB. The study of Quality of Work Life represents an important role for UFPB in order to provide better ways to manage and assist in the fulfillment of its attributions. This dissertation aims to evaluate the level of Quality of Work Life of technical administrative of UFPB - Campus I. The research presented a qualitative and quantitative methodology, characterized by the interpretation of phenomena and assigning meanings inherent in qualitative research associated with the use of resources and statistical techniques to analyze the results, inherent in quantitative research. The dimensions and variables of the research were based on the measurement model of QWL Walton (1974). Accordingly, we considered eight dimensions addressed the essential questions that this study aims to answer with their respective variables, in order to facilitate their interpretation and simplification of the analysis. The research instrument was composed of 27 questions, each corresponding to a no metric variable that was analyzed according to the method of multivariate analysis known as Factor Analysis (FA) using the statistical software SPSS v.20 (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) and R 3.0.1 software, which have specific packages for this purpose. The results indicated that the level of Quality of Work Life, according to the perception of technical administrative of UFPB was considered good. Social integration and security, job satisfaction, working conditions, fair remuneration; constitutionalism among others, are fundamental elements in organizational environments healthier. Knowing that information is extremely important, this can support decision making to promote the QWL in the studied organization, ensuring servers technical administrative conditions necessary to do their jobs adequately. / A Qualidade de Vida no Trabalho (QVT) é muito importante no contexto organizacional de uma empresa, pois, através dela é possível ter o comprometimento dos colaboradores para a execução das tarefas e, consequentemente, atingir os objetivos desejados pela organização. Ela pode ajudar no desenvolvimento de condições que motivem os trabalhadores, propiciando um ambiente adequado para a execução das tarefas, facilitando o desenvolvimento pessoal e promovendo a interação entre as partes. Percebe-se que a mesma é assunto de interesse de diversos segmentos, pois trata de questões diretamente ligadas ao bem-estar das pessoas em diferentes situações. O ambiente escolhido para a realização deste estudo foi a Universidade Federal da Paraíba - UFPB - Campus I, localizada em João Pessoa PB. O estudo da Qualidade de Vida no Trabalho representa um papel importante para a UFPB, no intuito de proporcionar melhores formas de gestão e auxiliar no cumprimento de suas atribuições. Esta dissertação tem por objetivo avaliar o nível de Qualidade de Vida no Trabalho dos técnicos administrativos da UFPB Campus I. A pesquisa apresentou uma metodologia quali-quantitativa caracterizada pela interpretação dos fenômenos e a atribuição de significados, inerentes ao processo de pesquisa qualitativa, associada ao uso de recursos e de técnicas estatísticas para análise dos resultados, inerentes ao processo de pesquisa quantitativa. As dimensões e variáveis da pesquisa foram baseadas no modelo de mensuração da QVT de Walton (1974). Nesse sentido, consideraram-se oito dimensões que abordaram as questões essenciais a que este estudo se propõe a responder com suas respectivas variáveis, de modo a facilitar suas interpretações e a simplificação das análises. O instrumento de pesquisa foi composto por 27 questões, cada uma correspondendo a uma variável não métrica que foi analisada de acordo com o método de análise multivariada conhecido como Análise Fatorial (AF), utilizando-se o software estatístico SPSS v.20 (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) e o software R 3.0.1, que possuem pacotes específicos para essa finalidade. Os resultados indicaram que o nível de Qualidade de Vida no Trabalho, segundo a percepção, dos técnicos administrativos da UFPB foi considerado bom. A integração social e segurança; a satisfação no trabalho; as condições de trabalho; a remuneração justa; o constitucionalismo dentre outras, são elementos fundamentais em ambientes organizacionais saudáveis. O conhecimento dessas informações é de extrema importância, podendo subsidiar tomadas de decisão para fomentar à QVT na organização estudada, garantindo aos servidores técnicos administrativos as condições necessárias para realizarem seu trabalho adequadamente.

Trocas entre filas são permitidas após o usuário analisar dois aspectos: a diferença entre o tamanho das filas envolvidas na troca e o grau de vizinhança entre elas. O jockeying não é obrigatório, podendo os usuários optar por ele com uma probabilidade de ocorrência de acordo com os aspectos citados. Como resultado deste estudo foi obtida uma equação geral que representa o sistema. O sistema M/(M/1)3 com jockeying probabilístico tem uma ociosidade bem menor que o tradiconal M/Mi/3, alimentado por fila única. Outras características foram analisadas. / We consider a parallel queueing system with three exponential heterogeneous servers where is allowed jockey among queues with no obligation and the customers may choose for it with an occurrence probability after they have been analyzed two aspects: the difference between involved lines lenght in jockeying and the neighborhood degree among them. The effect of this study is a general equation which represents the system. The M/(M/1)3 system with probabilistc jockeying has a smaller idleness than the traditional M/Mi/3 fed from a single queue. We also analysed other characteristics.
