Discutimos a crise da produção de cacau, mais especificamente o caráter multidimensional das transformações ocorridas na região, decorrentes do processo de globalização. A partir desta análise, mostramos que o movimento de reestruturação produtiva no lugar se vincula ao desenvolvimento do modo capitalista de produção, o qual cria e recria mecanismos ideológicos de crenças na modernização que, afinal, garantem a sua própria reprodução. / Abstract: This paper aims to demonstrate how the socio-spatial formation of the Cocoa Region in the South of Bahia State is historically and geographically derivate from the corporative and selective use of the Brazilian territory. We discuss the crisis in cocoa production, more specifically the multidimensional aspect f the transformations occurred in the region due to the globalization process. Based on this analysis we demonstrate that the productive restructuration in the place is linked to the development of the capitalist way of production which creates and recreates ideological mechanisms of beliefs in the modernization that, eventually, guarantee its own reproduction. / Doutor

Para a análise do processo de segregação socioespacial nas cidades pequenas de Osvaldo Cruz e Mariápolis, no Estado de São Paulo, usamos como pontos norteadores a presença e/ou ausência dos meios de consumo coletivo e privado (redes de abastecimento e coleta, equipamentos e saúde pública, educação e assistência social, transporte coletivo, comércio em geral, etc.), o estudo da mobilidade, as relações interurbanas e as relações entre o rural/agrícola/urbano. O objeto de trabalho recaiu sobre a compreensão das dinâmicas segregativas no contexto da produção do espaço urbano em cidades pequenas. O estudo contemplou a estruturação espacial das cidades, as condições de vida de seus moradores e as formas como percebem e apreendem o processo de segregação socioespacial intraurbana, bem como identificou os agentes responsáveis pela produção do espaço urbano, mostrando que as desigualdades socioespaciais derivam não apenas das diferenças socioeconômicas definidas no âmbito da sociedade, mas também do lugar que as pessoas habitam. Tomando-se como base a relação entre os processos intra e interurbanos, ou seja, nas relações entre os espaços da cidade e a rede urbana, levantamos a hipótese da existência de segregação socioespacial interurbana. / Abstract: The aim of this paper is to reveal how the urban space is produced by analyzing the social forces, processes and dynamics which lead to social and spatial segregation. The indicators we used to analyze the social and spatial segregation process in the small towns, - Osvaldo Cruz and Mariápolis - in São Paulo State, were the presence and/or absence of public and private consumption means (distribution and collection systems, public health, equipments and transportation, education, social assistance, trade), the study of mobility, the intercity relations, and the rural/agrarian/urban relations. This dissertation focused on the segregative dynamics in the context of small town urban space constitution. The town spatial constitution, their inhabitants' living conditions, and the ways they perceive the intra-urban social and spatial segregation are discussed, as well as the agents who are responsible for the urban space constitution are identified, in order to prove that social and spatial dissimilarities are due not only to social and economical differences present within society, but also to the location where people live. Based on the relation between intra and interurban processes, in other words, the relation between the town spaces and the urban system, we came to the hypothesis of an existing interurban social and spatial segregation. / Mestre

Orientador: Eliseu Savério Sposito / Resumo: Da Idade Média até a eclosão da Revolução Científica do século XVII, que tratamos enquanto marco estruturante/estruturado da/pela modernidade, referenciamos as discussões concernentes às noções de Natureza, Espaço e Tempo, sempre tendo como culminância a incidência de tais categorias em discussões geográficas. Sendo a Religião a base do conhecimento medieval, temos que a Natureza é tratada enquanto sujeito, figura vinculada ao drama cristão da salvação, ora sendo vista enquanto mudaneidade a ser rompida via re-ligação com a Divindade, ora marca Desta, signo, significante de Seu significado. Espaço e Tempo, por seu turno, são, ambos, medidos pelos conteúdos religiosos, sendo vistos enquanto emanação de um sentido somente presente no texto bíblico ou na luminosidade das Autoridades. A Geografia do período era também simbólica, tantas vezes transcrita, desatualizada de informações empíricas. Um amplo quadro de revoluções constrói os termos da ruptura efetuada com relação à Idade Média. Destacamos, no quadro revolucionário citado, os Descobrimentos e o chamado período renascentista. Foram muitos os impasses intelectuais trazidos pelos Descobrimentos, pela gradual descoberta do mundo enquanto orbe. No plano interno europeu, foram muitas as transformações surgidas no mesmo contexto histórico. Nicolau de Cusa problematiza a questão da posição do sujeito frente à interpretação do real. Copérnico defende a centralidade do astro Sol. Giordano Bruno opõe-se à finitude do Universo advinda do legado aristotélico. Kepler instaura a noção de causalidade matemática dos fenômenos. Por outro lado, eclodem todas as formas de misticismo, da magia à astrologia. Por fim, tratamos das transformações trazidas pela Revolução Científica, que redimensionaram o olhar humano sobre a Natureza, sobre a noção de Espaço, de Tempo, ... (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo). / Abstract: From the Middle Age to the Scientific Revolution emergence, in the century XVIII, that we have as structure/structured mark of/for modernity, we report the concerning debatings to the concepts of Nature, Space and Time, always having as culmination the incidence of such categories in geographic debatings. Being the Religion the basis of the Medieval Knowledge, the Nature is treated like individual, shape linked to the Christian salvation drama, but being seen while mundane ness, to be broken by re-tied with the Divinity, but mark of This, sign, significant of Its meaning. Space and Time, by their turn are, both, measured, by the religion contents, being seen as emanation of a meaning only present in the biblical text or in the Authority's brightness. The Geography of the period was also symbolic, many times transcribed, in out of date empiric information. A wide list of revolutions build the time limit occurred with regard to the Middle Age. We emphasize in the revolutionary list mentioned, the Discoveries and the called Renaissancist Period. There were many intellectual impasses brought by the Discoveries, for the gradual discovery of the world as a globe. Inside the European plan, there were many transformations arised in the same historical context. Nicola of Cusa argues the matter of the individual position facing to the real interpretation. Copernicus defends the Sun as center of Universe. Giordano Bruno opposes to the end of Universe ad coming from Aristotelians legate. Kepler institutes the notion of mathematics causality in the phenomena. On the other hand, every mysticism form emerges, from the magic to the astrology. At last, we discuss about the transformations brought by the Scientific Revolution, which re-calculate the human look on the Nature, on the notion of Space, of Time, ending in the reinvention of the geographic speech... O aprofundamento teórico e metodológico, bem como o estudo de uma realidade determinada, mostram-se neste momento através da análise do espaço geográfico a partir de um objeto de estudo as cooperativas de catadores e seu objeto de troca: os materiais recicláveis. A reprodução da vida de milhares de pessoas depende de um mercado que incluí circuitos econômicos de uma mercadoria, que para muitos é considerada lixo, mas que para outros tantos é objeto de troca. Para tanto, é necessária a análise espacial, social e econômica do mercado de materiais recicláveis, mais precisamente de empreendimentos pautados pela economia solidária, como são as cooperativas de catadores de materiais recicláveis. Esse trabalho também discute a viabilidade e a possibilidade de emancipação destes empreendimentos. / Abstract: This dissertation discusses the reproduction of the social relationships through the essentially urban activity made by recycled materials catchers. As the theoretical and methodological deepening as the study of a determined reality are shown at this time through the analysis of the geographical space starting from a object of study - the cooperatives of catchers and their exchange object: the recycled materials. Thousands of people reproduction depends on this market that includs economic circuits of a product that some people consider garbage, but that is exchange object for so many other people. So, it is necessary the space, social and economic analysis of the recycled materials market, spetially by the solidary economy enterprises, as the recycled materials catchers cooperatives. That work also discusses the viability and the possibility of these enterprises emancipation. / Mestre

Ao longo da história da cidade, a rua 14 de Julho tornou-se o seu mais importante logradouro público. Durante muitas décadas, nessa rua comercializou-se a maior parte do volume de mercadorias que abasteciam toda a cidade e todo o sul do imenso Estado de Mato Grosso, ainda uno. Em função disso, a rua 14 de Julho tornou-se um importante elemento que influenciou, de maneira definitiva, a estruturação e a reestruturação do espaço urbano de Campo Grande. O objetivo desta tese é analisar a produção do espaço urbano de Campo Grande, enfocando-se a importância da rua 14 de Julho na estruturação e reestruturação desse espaço, assim como a situação atual da rua, típica do centro das grandes cidades brasileiras. Para tanto, os estudos foram realizados a partir das relações estabelecidas entre a sociedade campo-grandense e o espaço em que ela está inserida, enfatizando o papel desenvolvido por essa rua, segundo três recortes analíticos principais: Cotidiano Social, Estrutura Urbana e Economia. / Abstract: Campo Grande, capital of Mato Grosso do Sul' state, consists today in one of the most important cities of Brazil's Center-West area. Along the history of the city, the 14th July street became the most important public thoroughfare. During many decades, this street commercialized the biggest part of the volume of merchandises that supplied all the city and the entirety south of the immense state of Mato Grosso, still unite. Because of that, the 14th July street became an important element that influenced, in definitive way, the structuralization and restructuralization of the urban area of Campo Grande. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the production of Campo Grande's urban area, focusing the importance of 14th July street in the structuralization and restructuralization of it space, such as the real situation of the estreet, typical of the center of brazilians big cities. For that, the studies were realized from the relations established between the society of Campo Grande and the space where it is inserted, emphasizing the function developed for this street, according to three main analytical clippings: Social Quotidian, Urban Structure and Economy. / Doutor

Para tanto, foi realizada uma revisão sobre o surgimento da modernidade e sobre o papel do consumo para a produção do espaço e para a reprodução da vida cotidiana. O patrimônio histórico surge no século XV pelo clero em Roma para resguardar a história e a cultura da antiguidade clássica e para atender às novas demandas do consumo cultural pela nobreza. Com isso, era necessário criar medidas de proteção do patrimônio histórico a fim de resguardá-lo de depredações e furtos. Atualmente, grande parte do patrimônio histórico tem sido modificada ou destruída, no entanto as políticas de conservação evoluíram bastante e estão inserindo a população como um todo para que essas medidas sejam eficazes. A região central de Limeira é marcada pela presença de alguns edifícios históricos de uso coletivo que apesar de algumas alterações em suas formas e funções desempenham o papel de marcos territoriais do espaço urbano. Durante a pesquisa, a população usuária do centro foi consultada acerca do entendimento que tinha sobre a conservação do patrimônio histórico e quais edifícios da área central deveriam ser conservados. Com base nas respostas obtidas, foi verificado que a maioria da população não compreende o que vem a ser conservação do patrimônio histórico e a escolha do edifício a ser conservado estava centrada no uso que era feito do espaço, como no caso da Estação Ferroviária. Para concluir o trabalho, foram elaborados um projeto de passeio históricoturístico ferroviário e uma cartilha de educação patrimonial que beneficiariam a história, o patrimônio histórico edificado e a população locais. / Abstract: The present paper tries to analyze the permanency of historic forms on the contemporary urban space having as an object of investigation the city of Limeira - SP. For this, it was done a review on the emergence of modern times and the role of consume to the production of space and the reproduction of daily life. The historic heritage arouses during the 15th century by the clergy in Rome to preserve the history and culture of the classic antiquity and to attend the new demands of cultural consume of the nobleness. So, it was necessary to create protection artifices for the historic heritage to guard it from depredation and thefts. Nowadays, a great deal of historic heritage has been modified or destroyed, however the conservation politics evolved a lot and are including the society as a hole so that these artifices become effective. The downtown region of Limeira is marked by the presence of some historic buildings of collective use that, even though have been altered in its forms and functions, perform a role of territorial markers on the urban space. Throughout the research, the population that use the downtown region was consulted on what they understood about the conservation of historical heritage and which of the historical buildings should be conserved. Based on the answers that were obtained, it was verified the most of the population does not understand what the conservation of historical heritage is and the choice of the building that should be conserved was based on the use that the person made of that space, like the case of the Railroad Station. To conclude the work, it was elaborated a project of a historic-touristic railroad trip and a primer about heritage education which would benefit the history, the historic buildings and local population. / Mestre

Delimitamos o bairro de Moema localizado na Região Sul da metrópole paulista para estudar o papel desses serviços na sua relação com a festa. O consumo realizado nesses lugares e o uso de forma temporária também aparecem imersos ao longo da análise. A produção da festa é estudada a partir do desenvolvimento da vida de bairro e da metrópole, que comporta mudanças nos hábitos de consumo para o qual a festa agora possui lugar. / Abstract: The aim of this study is to investigate the daily life of the city of São Paulo by analyzing places where parties are held - the buffets. We have chosen Moema neighborhood, located in the South Region of São Paulo to study the role of such places in relation to the parties. The consumption taking place in these locations and their occasional use are also objects of this investigation. The production of parties is studied, taking into consideration the neighborhood life and metropolis development, which can shed light into the understanding of consumption habits such as the existence of parties. / Mestre

Os objetivos consistem em analisar a expansão da malha urbana e a evolução dos preços fundiários em Londrina, no fito de apreender o processo de valorização seletiva do espaço pelos mecanismos próprios do circuito imobiliário. Assim, a conjuntura da última década foi base do processo investigativo. No entanto, a compreensão da expansão físico-territorial da cidade de Londrina diz respeito às ações historicamente engendradas por agentes responsáveis pela produção do espaço urbano sob o modo capitalista de produção, quais sejam: os agentes privados, o Estado, e a sociedade civil. Desse modo, realizamos uma reflexão sobre a atuação dos incorporadores de loteamentos nas últimas quatro décadas, bem como da atuação do Estado na promoção da habitação e estruturação da cidade. Constituído esse quadro analítico, a compreensão volta-se ao estudo da evolução do preço da terra urbana a partir do levantamento e mapeamento das variáveis disponíveis nos classificados de terrenos do principal jornal de circulação local. Por fim, tratamos de analisar a estruturação do espaço urbano pela dinâmica da atividade imobiliária, investigando o caso mais específico da Zona Leste da cidade de Londrina, onde atualmente ocorre valorização imobiliária e incorporação de novos empreendimentos imobiliários bastantes elucidativos da reestruturação urbana contemporânea / Abstract: This dissertation examines the production of urban space and their interaction with the real estate market, from the reality investigated in Londrina - PR. The objectives are to analyze the expansion of urban land and price developments in Londrina, the aim of understanding the process of selective recovery of space by the mechanisms of the circuit housing. Thus, the conjuncture of the last decade was based on the investigative process. However, understanding the physical and territorial expansion of the city of Londrina with respect to shares historically engendered by agents responsible for the production of urban space under the capitalist mode of production, namely: the private agents, the state and civil society. Thus, we held a discussion on the role of developers of subdivisions in the last four decades, and the role of the state in housing promotion and structuring of the city. Consisting this analytical framework, the understanding back to the study of the evolution of urban land prices from the survey and mapping of the variables available in the classifieds of land from the main newspaper of local circulation. Finally, we analyzed the structure of urban space by the dynamics of real estate activity, investigating the more specific case of the Eastern Zone of the city of Londrina, where he currently is real estate appreciation and incorporation of new houses quite illustrative of contemporary urban restructuring / Mestre

Orientador: Olga Ceciliato Mattioli / Banca: Diana Pancini de Sá Antunes Ribeiro / Banca: Leila Rute Oliveira Gurgel do Amaral / Resumo: A partir de experiência de estágios da graduação em Psicologia, particularmente no trabalho desenvolvido junto ao "Programa de Liberdade Assistida" da FEBEM, unidade Bauru, quando oferecemos um pronto atendimento psicológico a seus participantes, iniciamos o contato com o movimento hip hop. Entrevistamos jovens que se identificam com o movimento hip hop, analisando sua trajetória ao ingressarem nos grupos organizados de hip hop do município de Bauru. Analisamos suas biografias e percepções que estes jovens têm de si e de sua realidade social. O instrumento utilizado foi a entrevista semi dirigida, cuja aplicação ocorreu individualmente O procedimento para a análise das informações se apoiou no método psicanalítico. Analisamos o que leva os jovens a participarem do referido movimento, por meio do conceito psicanalítico de identificação. Verificamos que a significação que os jovens atribuem ao hip hop pode ser entendido como um espaço potencial de criatividade, de acordo com a teoria do psicanalista inglês Donald Winnicott. Encontramos diferentes usos desse movimento cultural, de acordo com a singularidade de cada participante, inclusive manifestado pelos diversos meios de participação artística e ideológica de seus componentes. No campo identificatório consideramos o movimento hip hop como modelo identificatório contemporâneo e significativo para grande parcela da população jovem. Como apresenta Maria Rita Kehl, o tratamento de irmãos ("manos") indica um campo de identificação horizontal com um grupo de pessoas iguais, oriundas de uma mesma realidade dolorosa; distinto de uma identificação vertical, tal como ocorre na grande massa em relação ao líder ou ídolo. / Abstract: During the course of training in psychology, especially in a work with the Program of Freedom Febem Assisted in the unit of Bauru, offering psychological care ready to participants, initiated the contact with the hip hop movement. In this study, we analyzed the motivation of some young people to join this movement, to perform such analysis, we used the psychoanalytic concept of identification. We want to check the meaning given by these young people to the hip hop movement, and if this can be seen as a potential space for creativity. Young people interviewed are identified with the hip hop movement, and why we are looking at their life stories the moment they began to join the hip hop movement organized in the city of Bauru. I reviewed their biographies and their perceptions about themselves and about social reality in which they live. We conducted semi-directed interviews with each couple in particular. We use the psychoanalytic method to analyze the content of the interviews, especially the theory developed by psychoanalyst Donald Winnicot. / Mestre

As recentes ferramentas de mapeamento online abriram o mundo dos mapas para as pessoas em geral, permitindo que não cartógrafos criassem, individualmente ou colaborativamente, suas próprias representações espaciais. A presente pesquisa busca investigar as mudanças culturais introduzidas pelas tecnologias do ciberespaço nas práticas de mapeamento e nas representações criadas por elas. Desse modo, iremos apresentar uma discussão teórica sobre os caminhos que a cartografia contemporânea vem tomando nesse novo contexto técnico-cultural / Abstract: The emergence of new technologies of communication and information has deeply transformed the way of making maps. The recently online mapping tools opened the world of maps to people in general, allowing non-cartographers to create, individually or collaboratively, their own spatial representation. This work searches to investigate the cultural changes introduced by cyberspace technologies in the practices of mapping and in the representations resulted from them.
