Guds ära, rådets behag och rikets lugn : Åberopandet av Gud i det svenska riksrådets protokoll 1621-1636 / God’s honour, the council’s satisfaction, and thecalm of the kingdom : The invocation of God in the Swedish Privy Council protocols 1621-1636Karlsson, Albin January 2022 (has links)
The 1600’s were a turbulent period of Swedish history. War, the effects of confession-building and the growing influence of the privy council marked the first half of the century. The purpose of this essay is to analyse how God was invoked in the Swedish privy council protocols during 1621-1636 and to determine the function of these invocations. With a theoretical starting pointin the term political culture, I argue that God was invoked as part of a system of symbols that gave, for instance, meaning to politics and society. By categorizing all instances that the members of the privy council and other invited individuals spoke of God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit (with a focus on God in particular) I found seven larger functions in the use of God in theprotocols. In summary they exercise a soothing and reassuring, confirming, class and order maintaining, guiding, and a meaning creating function. They also function to assert one’s position and safety and as a mode of expression. This asserts the role of religion in the political culture and how intertwined they were.

<p>Detta är en kvalitativ studie som inspirerats av fenomenografisk metod som behandlar olika aspekter av islams etablering i Sverige som är ett kulturkristet samhälle. Intervjuer har gjorts med representanter för tre olika trosinriktingar: Svenska kyrkan, Pingstkyrkan samt en frikyrkoförsamling med anknytning till Evangeliska Frikyrkan.</p><p>Syftet var att undersöka hur praktiserande kristna bemöter islam i samhället. Fokus läggs på kristna ledare och deras förhållningssätt med utgångspunkt i om de förespråkar polemik eller dialog, samt effekterna av dessa förhållningssätt. De teoretiska utgångspunkterna är dels en kunskapssociologisk teori av Berger och Luckmann, samt två olika religionsvetenskapliga teorier om dialog från Kyrkornas världsråd samt Swanberg och Westerlund ur ett normativt teologiskt perspektiv. Resultatet och analysen visar på att det finns en stor variation i förhållningssätt och attityd bland de kristna ledarna gentemot islam, beroende på vilken grad av konfrontation som förespråkas, samt på vilket plan i mötet man anser att tyngdpunkten ligger inom det sociokulturella, politiska eller teologiska.</p>

The subject of this diploma thesis is the modelling and the analysis of mechanisms that enable multiagentsystems to establish communication relations and using them to control the interaction. With regards to the emergence of such symbol systems one groundwork of this paper is the realization that coordination problems aren't applicative to advance to evolution of "higher communication capabilities".
With this in mind, this analysis uses a class of problems with explicit conflicts of interests between agents and the necessity of solving such interaction problems with the help of communication. The paper determines and discusses mechanisms and constraints that enable multiagentsystems to evolve such self-organisating social structures as well as preserving them. / Thema dieser Diplomarbeit ist die Modellierung und Untersuchung von Mechanismen, auf deren Grundlage Multiagentensysteme in der Lage sind, Kommunikationsbeziehungen aufzubauen und kommunikative Akte interaktionssteuernd zu verwenden. Hinsichtlich der Emergenz derartiger Symbolsysteme besteht eine wesentliche Erkenntnis, auf der diese Arbeit aufbaut, darin, dass Koordinationsprobleme als Kontext für MAS kein geeignetes experimentelles Umfeld für die Herausbildung "höherer kommunikativer Fähigkeiten" darstellen. Davon ausgehend werden für eine Klasse von Problemen, in denen die Abstimmung über eine Interaktion aufgrund von Interessenkonflikten einen expliziten Teil des kommunikativ zu lösenden Problems darstellt, Mechanismen und Constraints herausgearbeitet und diskutiert, die Agenten in die Lage versetzen, ein sich selbst organisierendes soziales Gefüge aufzubauen und zu erhalten.
