Contemporary Developments in Catholic Missiology : the Story of the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions of the Province of Aotearoa New Zealand, 1861-2000Smith, Susan Elizabeth January 2002 (has links)
Whole document restricted at the request of the author / Significant changes have occurred in the Catholic practice and theology of mission since the second Vatican Council (1962-65). To appreciate better the extent of these changes, I have charted major shifts in the story of mission of the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions, founded in Lyon in 1861. In particular, I have examined the various theologies that informed these shifts. This micro-study of one particular Catholic group offers an entry-point into a consideration of contemporary Catholic theologies of mission and missionary practice. Since Vatican II, there has been a growing awareness of the universal and salvific presence of the Spirit in creation and history. I will seek to show how this has affected Catholic missiological reflection through an examination of the work of selected Catholic theologians. These theologians direct attention to the mission of the Spirit, and to the relation between the Spirit and the Son in the mission of the Triune God. This pneumatological emphasis often has been overlooked in theologies of mission that are more overtly ecclesiological or christological in their orientation. I then examine selected New Testament texts in order to discern the legitimacy of such pneumatological emphases in emerging trinitarian theologies of mission. While New Testament texts indicate that the mission of the Spirit is both antecedent and consequent to the mission of Jesus, the examination of scriptural texts in this research concentrates on the antecedent mission of the Holy Spirit in selected Johannine, Matthean and Lukan texts. My research suggests that an emphasis on the mission of the Spirit permits an understanding of mission that can expand the parameters associated with ecclesiocentric and christocentric models of mission.

collected in the region, interior of Paraíba. The corpus, consisting of 75 prayers of healing, is
subdivided according to the popular name of the disease it proposes to cure. Among them
stands out the eye, meat screened, midwife, shingles, choking and headache. The research
approach is qualitative, as part of empirical knowledge for a theoretical analysis, requiring
understanding and interpretation of phenomena - prayers - to society. The study of popular
prayer is included in the study of discursive traditions, part of the recent historical and
diachronic studies, notably the German Philology Pragmatics, which has as a guiding the
study of language from social and historical context. The proposal of Discursive Traditions
supports and justifies the linguistic variations - changes or stays - under which the traditions
suffer over time. In that sense, this paper aims to present, from the basement defended by
Coseriu (1979), Koch (2006), Kabatek (2006), Oesterreicher (2006) and Fonseca (2003), the
characterization of oral sex "prayers Popular cure "Itabaianense the region as well as the
linguistic variations of this tradition, taking as reference the Portuguese prayers. On the
textual structure of prayers, is divided into invocation and offering fixed formula. From the
linguistic point of view, the prayers are intended as oral genre popular with religious
overtones, mainly by using the voice to achieve their communicative purposes, presenting a
discursive formation consistent with the social order to which you propose - healing through
spells. By comparing the prayers of Itabaiana region-PB with the Portuguese one realizes that
the prayers keep its conservative nature, with little change in the structure of text, although
there are variations and adaptations of language structures to snapshots of the communicative
event in which the mourners are pre-arranged. Therefore, the study of popular shows and
prayers conceives language as a historical reality closely linked to cultural and social life of
speakers. / O trabalho exposto tem como objeto de estudo a tradição oral as rezas populares coletadas
na região Itabaianense, interior da Paraíba. O corpus, composto de 75 rezas de cura, está
subdividido de acordo com o nome popular da doença que se propõe curar. Dentre elas
destaca-se o olhado, carne triada, espinhela caída, cobreiro, engasgo e dor de cabeça. A
pesquisa teve uma abordagem qualitativa, pois parte do conhecimento empírico para uma
análise teórica, exigindo apreensão e interpretação dos fenômenos rezas com a sociedade.
O estudo sobre as rezas populares está inserida no estudo das Tradições Discursivas, vertente
recente dos estudos histórico-diacrônicos, notadamente da Filologia Pragmática Alemã, que
tem como eixo norteador o estudo da Língua a partir do contexto social e histórico. A
proposta das Tradições Discursivas fundamenta e justifica as variações lingüísticas
mudanças ou permanências pelas quais as tradições sofrem ao longo do tempo. Nesse
sentido, este trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar, a partir do embasamento defendido por
Coseriu (1979), Koch (2006), Kabatek (2006), Oesterreicher (2006) e Fonseca (2003), a
caracterização do gênero oral rezas populares de cura da região Itabaianense bem como as
variações lingüísticas dessa tradição, tendo como ponto de referência as rezas portuguesas.
Sobre a estrutura textual das rezas, divide-se em invocação, fórmula fixa e oferecimento. Do
ponto de vista lingüístico, as rezas são concebidas como gêneros textuais orais de cunho
religioso-popular por utilizar-se principalmente da voz para atingir seus propósitos
comunicativos, apresentando uma formação discursiva coerente com o fim social ao qual se
propõe curar por meio de palavras mágicas. Ao comparar as rezas da região de Itabaiana-PB
com as portuguesas percebe-se que as rezas mantêm seu caráter conservador, havendo poucas
mudanças na estrutura textual, embora haja variações e adequações das estruturas linguísticas
às situações momentâneas do evento comunicativo em que as rezadeiras ficam pré-dispostas.
Portanto, o estudo das rezas populares comprova e concebe a linguagem como uma realidade
histórica vinculada intimamente à vida cultural e social dos falantes.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka förskollärarstudenters uppfattning om och tidigare erfarenheter av att arbeta med olika kulturella och religiösa traditioner i förskolan. Examensarbetet utgår från ett interkulturellt perspektiv och behandlar vilka traditioner som synliggörs i förskolan, hur firandet går till och informanternas uppfattning om tradition som fenomen och resurs för kulturellt lärande. I förhållande till den senast reviderade läroplanen (Skolverket, 2018) åskådliggörs förskolans uppdrag angående kultur och mångfald. För att informanterna skulle ges möjlighet till ett fritt berättande användes (sju) semistrukturerade intervjuer som datainsamlingsmetod. Analysen av de nedtecknade intervjuerna utgick från syftet och de centrala begreppen interkulturell sensibilitet, kultur och mångfald. Resultatet visar att informanterna har erfarenheter av ett traditionsfirande som anpassas till de kulturer som finns representerade i den aktuella barngruppen. Traditionsfirandet kännetecknas av frivillighet, formbarhet och nytänkande. Vilka traditioner som firas och hur detta sker i praktiken varierar, och styrs av pedagogernas erfarenheter, intresse och kunskap. Det religiösa och icke-religiösa traditionsfirandet bidrar till interkulturella möten och firandet kan följaktligen ha en sammanlänkande funktion mellan barn med olika kulturer. Det framkommer även att okunskap kring ämnen som religion och historia är en orsak till att pedagogerna undviker att samtala om bakgrunden till de traditioner som firas. Informanternas uppfattning om genomförandet av religiösa traditioner överensstämmer med hur begreppet interkulturell sensibilitet definieras i tidigare forskning, som tolerans mot andras och insikt om den egna kulturens plats bland alla övriga i en kulturell mångfald. Studiens slutsats är att det saknas kunskap inom områden som berör kultur, traditioner och religion. Okunskapen kan vara en anledning till att pedagoger undviker att samtala om dessa ämnen med barn och föräldrar, eftersom området berör högst personliga frågor, vilka kan uppfattas som integritetskränkande. Det visar sig att pedagogernas kontakt med föräldrarna är oumbärlig för hur de ska kunna förverkliga sitt uppdrag angående synliggörandet av och lärandet om olika kulturer och traditioner i förskolan.

The thesis continues with a comparison of the given journals with many selected journals from Tábor, Jindřichův Hradec and České Budějovice. The main part of the thesis is based on analysis of the articles from Písek journals related to history and cultural traditions in the region Prácheňsko. The social situation of the country at the time when the journals were released the 2nd half of the 19th century was taken into account when working out this thesis. The aim of this thesis is evaluation of importance of chosen regional journals for the region Prácheňsko.

Mladá poezie devadesátých let 20. století / The young poetry of the 1990sPIORECKÝ, Karel January 2008 (has links)
The submitted work is oriented towards the writing of young poets who made their authorial debuts into literary communication in the 1990s. It regards the creation of authors unburdered by experience with the cutural politics valid before November 1989, and therefore creation born in the complicated context of the post-totalitarian cultural situation in which very different traditions were combined, including traditions which were banned from public communication during the previous decades. Parallel with this process the young poetry of the 1990s was born, whose character was inevitably marked by the period interest in everything from the past that had been until recently forbidden. The work begins with an independent chapter devoted to the literary-critrical reception of young poetry in the 1990s. Aspects analyzed include the language, framework of values, criteria and expectations which were valid for contemporary literary criticism of young poetry in the 1990s. It is demonstrated that the key question for young poetry to answer was the question of what traditions it should draw upon in the changed and democratized cultural and social conditions. Expectations were oriented in the direction of the past, towards a connection with one of the worthy and newly non-proscribed traditions, rather than towards a neo-avantgarde seach for new expressive registers. The subsequent three chapters follow three expressive currents within the framework of young poetry of the 1990s {--} spiritual poetry, objective poetry and imaginative poetry. Analytical and interpretational explorations of these three currents are linked by a common point of view, which is a focus on the lyrical subject and the form of its stylization. This methodological point of departure leans on Červenka's theory of the the lyric subject, to which is devoted the independent theoretically oriented chapter in the introductory part of the work. This unified focus of attention on the lyric subject made it possible in the conclusion of this work to create a typology of the form of the lyric subject and to follow basic tendencies characteristic for subjectivity in the young poetry of the 1990s. It was demonstrated that the young poetry of the 1990s was willing to accept the three traditional lyrical modes and expressive registers, but it removes from them any kind of programmatic and ideological accents. Traditional lyrical modes, after their transplantation into a post-totalitarian and also post-modern situation, stop being part of a master narrative and therefore their original metanarrative character is eliminated (from spiritual poetry the explicit confessionality is lost, imaginative poetry removes surrealistic revolutionarity and psychologism, the poetry of objectivity eliminates the pathos regarding necessary developmental change, with it this lyrical mode was applied by Skupina 42). Traditions therefore do not continue to evolve in their original forms, but are selectively used with a view to the current state of culture and thought.

The key political events from the history of the Czech Republic, which had impact on the life of the Roman Catholic Church as well as the parish in Jistebnice, are discussed in the beginning of each chapter.

Previous issue date: 2014 / Esta pesquisa descreve e analisa o gênero anúncio publicitário destinado ao público feminino, olhando para aspectos voltados para o texto, verbal e não verbal, bem como para as transformações pelas quais esse gênero passou ao longo do século XX, e o contrasta com exemplares também de revistas femininas deste século XXI, numa perspectiva diacrônica textual. Para tanto, se volta para a noção de transmutação proposta por Zavam (2009), baseada no conceito levantado por Bakhtin ([1929], 1997). Também utiliza o arcabouço teórico das Tradições Discursivas, sobretudo das concepções de Koch (1997) e Kabatek (2003, 2004), para a análise dos textos verbais. Para a análise da parte não verbal, adota as abordagens da Gramática do Design Visual, propostas por Kress e van Leeuwen (1996). Assim, observa a composição das tradições discursivas no gênero anúncio publicitário feminino dos séculos XX e XXI, a fim de descrever traços significativos de mudança ou permanência. Quando se afirma que o objetivo parte da ideia de verificar os traços de permanência e de mudança no gênero que será estudado, pretende-se dizer que também há traços de mudança e de permanência no funcionamento da língua. Os efeitos produzidos em alguns anúncios femininos fazem que o destinatário seja parte integrante da construção do sentido que o texto publicitário deseja alcançar. O trabalho com gêneros discursivos possibilita a aproximação direta com a linguagem e suas mais variadas formas de interação, além de permitir a compreensão do sistema linguístico e o contato com a variação da língua. A análise revelou que houve tanto transmutação interna quanto transmutação externa no gênero anúncio e, também, que o contexto sócio-histórico contribuiu para a mudança e a permanência de alguns elementos linguísticos, os quais foram considerados como tradições discursivas do gênero anúncio publicitário. Também se constatou que, principalmente no século XXI, o texto não verbal passou a ganhar espaço nos anúncios publicitários. Dessa forma, o texto verbal começou a diminuir e perder espaço dentro do gênero anúncio. Acredita-se que esta pesquisa seja uma contribuição em meio a alguns questionamentos, os quais também servirão de semente para pesquisas vindouras.

The study addresses the linguistic and textual features that have changed and that remained in the minutes of the Paraiba borough council meetings that were handwritten, typed and virtualized in the nineteenth, XX and XXI, when the manuscripts were transcribed to the World Wide Web. The study tries to associate the social context of elaboration and utilization of the minutes to the historical context of language, keeping in mind that the texts change with changes in society. It is therefore a diachronic, descriptive and theoretical approach that uses the assumptions of Coseriu (1979, 1987, 1988) and of the German Romanist pragmatists German Romanists Oesterreicher (1996, 2006), Schlieben-Lange (1993), Koch (2008), Kabatek (2006) and Jungbluth (2006) and also looks at Brazilian discursive traditions developed by Simões Kewitz (2009a, 2009b). The corpus of this research is composed of sixty-seven minutes from various boroughs of the state of Paraíba: Zona da Mata, Agreste, Borborema and the Sertão. The originals are kept in private and public historical archives in the boroughs of Paraíba. From these city council minutes, the ones that appear more frequently were selected in the corpus, the structures that constitute them analyzed, with particular emphasis on the XIX, XX and XXI centuries. Based on the assumption that the discursive traditions evoke certain textual and linguistic forms, we used the same proceedings for the analysis of the passive voice as a grammatical element that is repeated in the structure of these minutes. The analysis of the minutes, compared between the centuries cited, showed that their linguistic and textual features changed when transcribed from the record book manuscripts to virtual support. Some information from texts changed their position in the structure of the minutes, other sections have been inserted in the texts and some traditional expressions no longer exist. The analysis also verified some linguistic traits where instances of passive constructions were reduced in the minutes of this century, but it was found that this type of grammatical construction is part of the traditional discursive camera minutes. Given the results, we concluded that, despite the transformations undergone over time, the minutes of the Paraíba camera meetings maintained the structure which identifies it as a discursive tradition. / A partir do pressuposto de que, pela repetição, as tradições discursivas estabelecem um elo entre inovações e conservadorismos, este trabalho, aborda as características linguísticas e textuais que mudaram e que permaneceram nas atas das câmaras municipais paraibanas manuscritas, datilografadas e virtualizadas nos séculos XIX, XX e XXI, quando transcritas do suporte manuscrito para a Rede Mundial de Computadores. Procura-se, nesse estudo, associar o contexto social de produção e utilização das atas à história da língua, por ter-se em vista que os textos mudam conforme as mudanças na sociedade. Dessa forma, trata-se de uma pesquisa diacrônico-descritiva que utiliza como aporte teórico os pressupostos de Coseriu (1979, 1987, 1988) e dos romanistas da Pragmática Alemã Oesterreicher (1996, 2006), Schlieben-Lange (1993), Koch (2008), Kabatek (2006) e Jungbluth (2006), como também, utiliza os estudos sobre as tradições discursivas no Brasil desenvolvidos por Simões e Kewitz (2009a, 2009b). O corpus dessa pesquisa é composto por sessenta e sete atas das câmaras municipais paraibanas das regiões da Zona da Mata, Agreste, Borborema e Sertão, cujos originais estão conservados em arquivos históricos públicos e privados e nas câmaras municipais da Paraíba. Dentre essas atas camarárias, selecionou-se, para análise, alguns tipos de atas de sessão que aparecem com maior frequência no corpus, destacando, entre os séculos XIX, XX e XXI, as estruturas que as constituem. Com base no pressuposto de que as tradições discursivas evocam determinadas formas linguísticas e textuais, utilizou-se essas mesmas atas selecionadas para a análise da voz passiva como elemento gramatical que se repete na estrutura dessas atas. A análise das atas, em comparação entre os séculos citados, revelou que as suas características linguísticas e textuais sofreram alterações quando transcritas do livro de registro manuscrito para o suporte virtual. Algumas informações do texto mudaram de posição na estrutura da ata, foram inseridas outras seções no texto e algumas expressões tradicionais deixaram de existir. Verificou-se também, na análise dos traços linguísticos, que as ocorrências de construções na voz passiva sofreram uma redução nas atas do século atual, porém constatou-se que esse tipo de construção gramatical faz parte da tradição discursiva ata de câmara. Diante dos resultados apresentados, concluiu-se que, apesar das transformações sofridas ao longo do tempo, a ata das sessões das câmaras paraibanas manteve a estrutura que a identifica como uma tradição discursiva.

The principal aim of my dissertation was to specify and find out the sense of culturological aspects, which appeal on the development and stabilization of rural regions, to find the areas, where the culturological aspects could contribute to keep folks in the country and find the ways how to improve the satisfaction of folks with country life. I have tried to find the specific cultural symbols and dominant cultural dimensions of certain communities, which are the significant self-recognizable element of society. Our research was realized by standard questionnaire inquiry in Čkyně and Doudleby and by CSDT (Colour Semantic Differential Test). CSDT was used to get more complete information about communities of Čkyně and Doudleby and their dominant cultural dimensions. The results could be resumed into following. The problem, why people leave the countryside, is not based mainly on insufficient services and facilities. We can demonstrate it on Čkyně. However Čkyně has better public utilities than Doudleby, its inhabitants (especially the new arrivals and their children) are not satisfied as the inhabitants in Doudleby and they are likely to leave Čkyně in the future. Doudleby is the village with strong and still celebrated traditions. New arrivals are hearty welcome between the olds and they also participate on the local cultural life. The main contribution of my dissertation should have been the finding the influence of cultural traditions on stabilization the rural regions. Strong traditions join people together and improve social relations in the village. Traditions are the roots of folks that prevent them from leaving the countryside.
