Kodgenerering i CASE-verktyg : En undersökning hur CASE-verktyg uppfyller experters kodgenereringskrav

Andersson, Martin January 2001 (has links)

A Trip Planner for the Itract System supporting real-time updates

Liden, Natalie January 2014 (has links)
Mobile applications and real-time data are excellent tools for rapidly sharing information. Such information may concern public transportation, such as time tables and traffic delays. This project has involved the development of a trip planner, which can subscribe to real-time data in order to inform the end user about the position of transit vehicles and trip updates. A trip planner is an application which, after having been given a start and a destination by the user, generates the possible trip between these two locations. The route is displayed upon a map, along with information of how the trip is travelled. The real-time data, which is pushed to the application, will inform the user if vehicles are delayed and if the trip needs to be updated due to a missed bus or train. The trip planner for Itract developed in this project is using the graphical interface and some necessary Java classes from the open source application Open Trip Planner. The new trip planner, developed in this project, is compatible with the API of Itract, has some additional functionality and can subscribe to real-time information. To subscribe to real-time information, a database called Redis has been set up in connection to Itract. Another database, known as MongoDB, is used for persistant storage. / Itract

Význam exkurze ve výuce chemie / Importance of field trip in chemistry education

Papírníková, Lucie January 2015 (has links)
The thesis deals with science education and integrating field trip in the undergraduate chemistry curriculum. The theoretical part summarizes available information about science education and integrating field trip in the classroom, theoretical information for creation of a questionnaire and a website. The practical part analyzes results of the survey. The main result is that half of the teachers know their neighbourhood with regard to realize field trip. However they find obstacles in realization, such as price, time- consumption, knowledge of locations, students' interest, demanding organization etc. A website was created using feedback from the questionnaire as described in the next part of thesis. It contains description of locations suitable for field trip in chemistry education. The website is designed to remove at least some of the obstacles.

Hronová, Hana January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with malacological research of selected forest localities in the natural park Džbán (Central Bohemia). The goal of this work is to molluscan explore composition in target area and compare results with the research of Dr. Vojen Ložek from years 1947-2010. His collections, which are deposited in the Repository of the National Museum in Prague - Horní Počernice, were processed in detail for this purpose. Obtained results enabled evaluation of changes in researched localities and the impact of such changes on composition of malacocenoses over the years. Standard malacological research was performed in selected localities of Džbán area. At 20 forest stations, we applied the method of soil samples, at 1 wetland locality we applied a method of wet washout. Collected material was further processed, determined and assessed. Altogether, 65 species of mollusc were found in selected area. Place called Cikánský dolík was chosen for the didactic part of this diploma thesis, which means a proposal for field trip of natural science. Such provided instruction is suitable for pupils from the 2nd level of basic schools. After adjustment, it can be used for younger pupils or older students. A guide containing 25 species of terrestrial snails of Džbán area was created as an aid. This guide...

The impact of product, service and in-store environment perceptions on customer satisfaction and behaviour

Manikowski, Adam 09 1900 (has links)
Much previous research concerning the effects of the in-store experience on customers’ decision-making has been laboratory-based. There is a need for empirical research in a real store context to determine the impact of product, service and in-store environment perceptions on customer satisfaction and behaviour. This study is based on a literature review (Project 1) and a large scale empirical study (Projects 2/3) combining two sources of secondary data from the largest retailer in the UK, Tesco, and their loyalty ‘Clubcard’ provider, Dunnhumby. Data includes customer responses to an online self-completion survey of the customers’ shopping experience combined with customer demographic and behavioural data from a loyalty card programme for the same individual. The total sample comprised n=30,696 Tesco shoppers. The online survey measured aspects of the in-store experience. These items were subjected to factor analysis to identify the influences on the in-store experience with four factors emerging: assortment, retail atmosphere, personalised customer service and checkout customer service. These factors were then matched for each individual with behavioural and demographic data collected via the Tesco Clubcard loyalty program. Regression and sensitivity analyses were then conducted to determine the relative impact of the in-store customer experience dimensions on customer behaviour. Findings include that perceptions of customer service have a strong positive impact on customers’ overall shopping satisfaction and spending behaviour. Perceptions of the in-store environment and product quality/ availability positively influence customer satisfaction but negatively influence the amount of money spent during their shopping trip. Furthermore, personalised customer service has a strong positive impact on spend and overall shopping satisfaction, which also positively influences the number of store visits the week after. However, an increase in shopping satisfaction coming from positive perceptions of the in-store environment and product quality/ availability factors helps to reduce their negative impact on spend week after. A key contribution of this study is to suggest a priority order for investment; retailers should prioritise personalised customer service and checkout customer service, followed by the in-store environment together with product quality and availability. These findings are very important in the context of the many initiatives the majority of retail operators undertake. Many retailers focus on cost-optimisation plans like implementing self-service check outs or easy to operate and clinical in-store environment. This research clearly and solidly shows which approach should be followed and what really matters for customers. That is why the findings are important for both retailers and academics, contributing to and expanding knowledge and practice on the impact of the in-store environment on the customer experience.

Improved Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) Estimation for Local Roads using Parcel-Level Travel Demand Modeling

Wang, Tao 29 March 2012 (has links)
Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) is a critical input to many transportation analyses. By definition, AADT is the average 24-hour volume at a highway location over a full year. Traditionally, AADT is estimated using a mix of permanent and temporary traffic counts. Because field collection of traffic counts is expensive, it is usually done for only the major roads, thus leaving most of the local roads without any AADT information. However, AADTs are needed for local roads for many applications. For example, AADTs are used by state Departments of Transportation (DOTs) to calculate the crash rates of all local roads in order to identify the top five percent of hazardous locations for annual reporting to the U.S. DOT. This dissertation develops a new method for estimating AADTs for local roads using travel demand modeling. A major component of the new method involves a parcel-level trip generation model that estimates the trips generated by each parcel. The model uses the tax parcel data together with the trip generation rates and equations provided by the ITE Trip Generation Report. The generated trips are then distributed to existing traffic count sites using a parcel-level trip distribution gravity model. The all-or-nothing assignment method is then used to assign the trips onto the roadway network to estimate the final AADTs. The entire process was implemented in the Cube demand modeling system with extensive spatial data processing using ArcGIS. To evaluate the performance of the new method, data from several study areas in Broward County in Florida were used. The estimated AADTs were compared with those from two existing methods using actual traffic counts as the ground truths. The results show that the new method performs better than both existing methods. One limitation with the new method is that it relies on Cube which limits the number of zones to 32,000. Accordingly, a study area exceeding this limit must be partitioned into smaller areas. Because AADT estimates for roads near the boundary areas were found to be less accurate, further research could examine the best way to partition a study area to minimize the impact.

Multicollinearity in transportation models

Chan , Sheung-Ling January 1970 (has links)
This thesis explores some of the limitations and implications of using multiple regression analysis in transportation models. Specifically it investigates how the problem of multicollinearity, which results from using intercorrelated variables in trip generation models, adversely affects the validation of hypotheses, discovery of underlying relationships and prediction. The research methodology consists of a review of the literature on trip generation analysis and a theoretical exposition on multicollinearity. Secondly, trip generation data for Greater Vancouver (1968) is used for empirical analysis. Factor analysis and multiple regression techniques are employed. The results demonstrate that multicollinearity is both an explanatory and prediction problem which can be overcome by a combined factor analytic and regression method. This method is also capable of identifying and incorporating causal relationships between land use and trip generation into a single model. It is concluded that the distinction between the explanatory, analytic and predictive abilities of a regression model is artificial, and that greater emphasis on theorizing in model-construction is needed. . / Applied Science, Faculty of / Community and Regional Planning (SCARP), School of / Graduate

Hochrechnung von Fahrgastbefragungen im Öffentlichen Verkehr – Ansätze zur Vermeidung von Stichprobenverzerrungen

Neumann, Marcus 04 July 2017 (has links) (PDF)
Transit surveys based on on-board passenger interviews suffer from bias. Most commonly observed is the short trip bias: passengers travelling short distances are underrepresented in survey results. Biased data leads to an incorrect estimation of passenger demand can result in an inequitable allocation of revenues between transport operators. This paper examines how the short trip bias can be mitigated during the data ex-trapolation process. Four methods are examined: A simple extrapolation by boarding counts, three iterative proportional fitting models and an additional weighting concept are tested on simulated survey data. The simulative approach enables the evaluation of the examined methods concerning their effects in reducing short trip bias. A total of eight survey situations with selected parameters variated are simulated to allow conclusions about influencing factors. Results suggest that the most effective method is the weighting approach, followed by the iterative proportional fitting methods. Within the class of the iterative propor-tional fitting methods no significant difference is observed. Furthermore it is observed that the effectiveness of the weighting approach strongly relates to passenger numbers and selection rates. Furthermore an overview on topic related literature is given to examine practical approaches to reduce bias in survey data.
