The basis of this diploma thesis is to find out the most common way to end MMA (mixed martial arts) matches in the UFC (Ultimate fighting championship) organization. The theoretical part is devoted to the description of MMA as such, history, rules with a larger description of possible ways to end the match and with a description of weight categories that are essential for us in this work. He also deals with the UFC organization and its history and MMA in the Czech Republic. The practical part is devoted to research, which focuses on ways to end the MMA match in the UFC in various men's weight categories. The same is done for weight categories in the Czech Republic. In order to achieve this goal, the applied methodology was the descriptive and explanatory research, also quantitative, using primary data, obtained through questionnaires applied to 597 graduated students in 2011, then acquiring a sample of 100 contributors, besides secondary data, spreadsheets containing general and individual – API (Academic performance index) from the graduated students of Pro-Reitoria de Graduação database. The result analysis method was an econometric model logit of binary choice. Concerning to the answers, it was verified that the most part of the graduated students in analysis are engaged in areas related to their graduation courses and have increased their incomes. From the estimated results, it could be verified that 4(four) explanatory variants influence positively (increase) on chances of a given graduated student to get an occupation in a field related to his graduation course: ethnicity, previous professional experience, another graduation course and the course time. Further, it could be verified that 3 (three) explanatory variables increase the probabilities of getting an income raise, which are: general-API, working in an area related to the graduation course and another graduation course. As for the age-variable, it is considered to influence negatively (diminish) on the probability of obtaining an income raise. Besides, the 2(two) Logit estimated models for occupation and income showed results which were consistent with the reality, and was validated the research hypothesis which states that the general API of UFC graduate students is a determining factor in getting the increased income of the same. / O objetivo desta pesquisa foi identificar os fatores (de caráter pessoal, da formação acadêmica e de caráter ocupacional) que influenciam na probabilidade de obtenção da ocupação na área do curso de graduação e/ou do aumento da renda dos egressos dos cursos de graduação da Universidade Federal do Ceará. Para alcançar esse objetivo, a metodologia aplicada foi de pesquisa descritiva, explicativa, e quantitativa, utilizando-se de dados primários, obtidos através de questionários aplicados junto a 597 graduados de 2011, adquirindo-se uma amostra de 100 colaboradores, além de dados secundários, planilhas contendo o IRA-Geral e IRA-Individual dos graduados, obtidos no banco de dados da Pró-Reitoria de Graduação. O método de análise dos resultados da pesquisa fez uso do modelo econométrico de escolha binária logit. Das respostas dos questionários, observou-se, principalmente, que a maioria dos graduados, em análise, da UFC está ocupada na área do curso de graduação e obteve um aumento na sua renda. Dos resultados estimados verificou-se que 4 (quatro) variáveis explicativas influenciam positivamente (aumentam) na probabilidade do graduado obter ocupação na área do curso de graduação: etnia, experiência profissional anterior, outro(s) curso(s) superior(es) e turno do curso. Verificou-se, também, que 3 (três) variáveis explicativas elevam a probabilidade do graduado obter aumento da renda: IRA-Geral, ocupado na área do curso de graduação e outro(s) curso(s) superior(es). Já a variável idade influencia negativamente (diminui) na probabilidade do graduado obter aumento de renda. Ademais, os 2 (dois) modelos Logit estimados para ocupação e renda produziram resultados consistentes com a realidade, e foi validada a hipótese da pesquisa de que o IRA-Geral dos graduados da UFC representa um fator determinante na obtenção do aumento da renda dos mesmos.

CoordenaÃÃo de AperfeiÃoamento de Pessoal de NÃvel Superior / Este à um trabalho sobre o processo de implantaÃÃo da polÃtica de cotas na Universidade Federal do Cearà â UFC, as discussÃes deram inÃcio em 2005, mas a efetivaÃÃo concretizou-se em 2012, apÃs promulgaÃÃo da Lei n 12.711/2012, que torna a polÃtica obrigatÃria nas InstituiÃÃes Federais de Ensino Superior. O delineamento da investigaÃÃo perpassa por anÃlises de discussÃes originadas no cenÃrio nacional no perÃodo anterior a referida Lei com a finalidade de entender o desdobramento do longo processo de implementaÃÃo dessa polÃtica na UFC e as expectativas com as mudanÃas ocasionadas com a adoÃÃo das cotas. Assim, o objetivo geral da pesquisa à analisar que tipo de mudanÃas relacionadas Ãs desigualdades de acesso dos estudantes foram impulsionadas com a implantaÃÃo da polÃtica de cotas, sobretudo no que se refere ao perfil socioeconÃmico e cultural dos discentes dos cursos de maior concorrÃncia e alto prestÃgio social. O referido estudo tambÃm inclui contribuiÃÃes importantes a cerca do grau de satisfaÃÃo dos discentes com o curso, do rendimento acadÃmico e do relacionamento com os colegas de turma. Para isso, a pesquisa contempla os seguintes objetivos especÃficos: 1) Discutir o processo de instituiÃÃo de polÃticas de aÃÃo afirmativa nos processos seletivos das InstituiÃÃes de Ensino Superior brasileira e seu impacto registrado em pesquisas jà realizadas; 2) Analisar o processo de discussÃo sobre implantaÃÃo de cotas na UFC; 3) A partir de uma amostragem de cursos da UFC, investigar o perfil socioeconÃmico e cultural dos estudantes; 4) Analisar de forma comparativa cotista e nÃo cotista no interior dos cursos selecionados. As informaÃÃes para a pesquisa sÃo resultados de acesso a fontes documentais, como ATA e relatÃrios, intensa pesquisa empÃrica com coleta de dados primÃrios. / This is a work on the implementation process of the quota policy at the Federal University of Cearà - UFC, discussions began in 2005, but the execution materialized in 2012, after enactment of Law No. 12,711 / 2012, which makes policy compulsory in Federal Institutions of Higher Education. The design of runs through research by discussions analysis originated on the national scene in the period prior to this Law in order to understand the unfolding of the long process of implementation of this policy in the UFC and expectations with the changes brought about by the adoption of quotas. Thus, the overall objective of the research is to analyze what kind of changes related to student access inequalities were boosted with the implementation of the quota policy, particularly as regards the socio-economic and cultural profile of the students of the most competitive courses and high prestige social. The study also includes important contributions about the degree of satisfaction of students with the course, academic performance and relationships with classmates. For this, the research includes the following specific objectives: 1) Discuss the process of affirmative action institution in selection processes of Brazilian Higher Education Institutions and its impact recorded in previous studies; 2) Analyze the process of discussion on implementation of quotas in the UFC; 3) From a sample of UFC courses, investigate the socioeconomic and cultural profile of the students; 4) Analyze comparatively student quota and no student quota within the selected courses. The information for the survey are the result of access to documentary sources, such as ATA and reports, intense empirical research with primary data collection.

IT`S SHOW TIME: VIOLÊNCIA E EMOÇÕES NO MIXED MARTIAL ARTS (MMA 1995 – 2016)

The literature chosen to discuss the issue suggests that violence control has a strong association with emotional control (ELIAS; DUNNING, 1992).From the perspective of the fighters and spectators, is tried to discuss violence and emotion, using the concepts of symbolic violence, real violence, legitimate violence and systemic violence. From this, three hypothesis are presented: the first is that the MMA is a violent sport, conceived in this way in order to serve the demands of a society and a violent man by nature; The second one points out that the perception of fighters that the MMA is not violent is related to the fact that the competitions possess rules, unlike what happens on the streets. The third hypothesis upholds that there is a social need for the public to experience violence, which can be seen by the increasing demand for events involving MMA, indicated by the increase in TV ratings and the purchasing of pay-per-view packages. The proposed temporal frame refers to the period between 1995 and 2016. The initial time mark was established due to changes in the rules occurred after the UFC-5 event took place, a period in which the confrontations had no time limit, it means, there was no division by rounds, nor amaximum period length for the fight to end. After the changes, the fights began to occur with pre-established time length. Regarding the final temporal beacon, the year 2016, it is due to the edition of the UFC-198, held in the city of Curitiba-PR. In this event,spectators were interviewed, as well as, were concluded the semi-structured observations and interviews with the fighters. The methodology used was qualitative of the ethnographic type, whose instruments were the participating observation and semi-structured interviews. It was found that, from the perspective of fighters and spectators, the MMA is not a violent sport, although the literature and the interviews conducted with them show the presence of a symbolic violence during training and the moment of the combat. There is also a strong emotional appeal, in which happiness and fear are present. The text is structured in three chapters, by which it was sought to discuss violence and emotion based on the proposed theoretical framework and the performed interviews. / Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo geral analisar a violência e a emoção no MMA sob a perspectiva de lutadores e espectadores, a partir do estudo da relação que se estabelece entre ambos. Entre os objetivos específicos estão historicizar o MMA; apresentar elementos teóricos que possibilitem a compreensão da violência e da emoção no universo do MMA; e identificar que tipo de emoção está presente durante o período de preparação e o momento da luta. A pesquisa se pauta na literatura de Elias e Dunning (1992), a qual sugere que o controle da violência possui forte associação com o controle emocional. Procura-se discutir violência e emoção utilizando-se os conceitos de violência simbólica, violência real, violência legítima e violência sistêmica. Deste modo, apresentam-se três hipóteses: a primeira é que o MMA é um esporte violento, concebido desta forma com fins de atender as demandas de uma sociedade e de um homem violento por natureza; a segunda aponta que a percepção tida pelos lutadores de que o MMA não é violento está relacionada ao fato de as competições apresentarem regras, diferentemente do que acontece nas ruas; e a terceira é a de que existe uma necessidade social, por parte do público, de vivenciar a violência, o que pode ser constatado por meio da crescente procura por eventos que envolvem o MMA. O recorte temporal refere-se ao período compreendido entre 1995 e 2016. A baliza temporal inicial foi estabelecida em virtude de mudanças de regras ocorridas a partir da realização do UFC – 5, em que os confrontos não apresentavam limite de tempo, ou seja, não havia divisão por rounds, tampouco tempo máximo para que a luta se encerrasse. Após este evento, as lutas passaram a ocorrer com tempos determinados. Já a baliza temporal final, 2016, deve-se à edição do UFC -198, em que foram entrevistados espectadores e concluídas as observações e entrevistas semiestruturadas com os lutadores. A metodologia utilizada foi qualitativa do tipo etnográfica, cujos instrumentos foram a observação participante e a entrevista semiestruturada. Constatou-se que, na perspectiva dos lutadores e espectadores, o MMA não é um esporte violento, embora a literatura e as entrevistas evidenciem a presença de violência simbólica durante os treinamentos e o momento do combate.Existe, ainda, um forte apelo emocional, no qual a felicidade e o medo estão presentes. O texto foi organizado em três capítulos, pelos quais se buscou discutir a violência e a emoção a partir do referencial teórico proposto e das entrevistas semiestruturadas.

Entre a InclusÃo e a Diversidade: Um Estudo sobre a ImplementaÃÃo da PolÃtica de Cotas na UFC / Between Inclusion and Diversity: A Study on the Implementation of Quotas Policy in the UFC.

nÃo hà / Esta dissertaÃÃo tem como objetivo analisar a implementaÃÃo do sistema de cotas na Universidade Federal do Cearà - UFC. Para tanto, partiu-se do debate sobre a prÃpria criaÃÃo dessa aÃÃo afirmativa. A pesquisa se utilizou de dados obtidos das atas de reuniÃo do Grupo de Trabalho de 2005 e do Grupo de PolÃticas de AÃÃes Afirmativas de 2005/2006, alÃm de entrevistas com personagens-chave desses debates, para a construÃÃo da trajetÃria da implementaÃÃo do sistema de cotas antes da aprovaÃÃo da Lei de Cotas em 2012. TambÃm se realizou trabalho de campo atravÃs de uma observaÃÃo participante nas aulas de Antropologia e PolÃticas PÃblicas do curso de GestÃo em PolÃticas PÃblicas. A importÃncia do contato com esses alunos cotistas consistiu no fato de que estes foram alguns dos primeiros alunos a ingressarem apÃs a adoÃÃo do percentual de 50% de vagas destinadas aos cotistas da UFC. Em seguida, por meio de entrevistas, construiu-se a trajetÃria de trÃs alunos cotistas, analisando-se os efeitos dessa polÃtica pÃblica em suas vidas e no prÃprio espaÃo universitÃrio. Essa dissertaÃÃo concluiu, por meio de todos os dados obtidos no decorrer da pesquisa e dos relatos dos alunos cotistas, que o sistema de cotas à uma importante aÃÃo afirmativa de inclusÃo de estudantes que dificilmente obteriam vagas no ensino superior pÃblico, mas, potencialmente, pode ser uma ferramenta fundamental para a afirmaÃÃo de uma polÃtica da diferenÃa na universidade. / This dissertation aims to analyze the implementation of the quota system at the Federal University of CearÃ. Therefore, the debate starts on the very creation of this affirmative action. The research used data obtained from the meetings of the Working Group of 2005 and the Affirmative Action Policy Group 2005/2006 and interviews with key characters of these debates, to build the trajectory of the implementation of the quota system before the approval of Quota Law in 2012. It also conducted field work through a participant observation in anthropology classes and Public Policy course in Management in Public Policy. The importance of contact with these quota students, consisted in the fact that they were one of the first students after adopting 50% of vacancies for unitholders of the UFC. Then, through interviews, build trajectories of 3 quota students, which analyzed the effects of public policy in their lives and in their own university space. This dissertation concludes, through all the data and reports obtained during the research and the reports of quota students, that the quota system is an important affirmative action to include students who hardly would obtain places in public higher education, but potentially it can be a key tool for the affirmation of a difference of politics at university.

nÃo hà / Estuda as contribuiÃÃes do Programa Institucional de Bolsas de IniciaÃÃo à DocÃncia (PIBID) para a formaÃÃo inicial de professores na Universidade Federal do Cearà (UFC) na percepÃÃo dos sujeitos participantes, quanto ao cumprimento dos objetivos do referido programa. Com o intuito de conhecer mais sobre a histÃria da formaÃÃo de professores no Brasil revisitou-se o trabalho de Dermeval Saviani e se analisou o contexto social e polÃtico que influenciou as reformas educacionais na busca de compreender a criaÃÃo e implantaÃÃo do PIBID. Esta pesquisa à fundamentada com as polÃticas pÃblicas para a formaÃÃo de professores, desde a Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da EducaÃÃo Nacional â LDB atà as normativas que ordenam o programa. Tem-se como opÃÃo metodolÃgica à pesquisa de natureza bÃsica, do tipo exploratÃria, utilizando como procedimento tÃcnico o estudo de caso de abordagem qualitativa. O locus da pesquisa foi o PIBID-UFC com extensÃo nas escolas pÃblicas de EducaÃÃo BÃsica onde sÃo desenvolvidas as aÃÃes do referido programa. O universo à composto de todos os sujeitos participantes do programa em 2014, quais sejam: 359 bolsistas de iniciaÃÃo à docÃncia, 54 supervisores, 24 coordenadores de Ãrea, trÃs coordenadores da gestÃo e a coordenadora institucional. A amostra, nÃo probabilÃstica, se constituiu de 23 bolsistas de iniciaÃÃo a docÃncia, seis supervisores e a coordenadora institucional. Privilegiados foram, pois, 14 subprojetos, em 13 das 27 escolas onde se desenvolvem atividades do Programa. Os instrumentos de coleta de dados foram utilizados nas etapas de anÃlise documental, observaÃÃo, entrevista e questionÃrio. A anÃlise dos dados coletados foi organizada nas categorias: perfil dos sujeitos, bem como as que perseguem os objetivos do PIBID, como incentivar a formaÃÃo do professor, valorizar a carreira docente, contribuir para a qualidade da EducaÃÃo, inovar nas metodologias de ensino, incentivar as escolas pÃblicas, e articular a teoria com a prÃtica. Compreende-se que esta pesquisa teve algumas limitaÃÃes em virtude da abrangÃncia e da complexidade que o Programa jà possui, encontrando-se em todas as licenciaturas, nas diversas escolas cobertas e desenvolvendo uma diversificada gama de atividades. Os dados revelaram que hà cumprimento dos objetivos do Programa, na visÃo dos pesquisados, que destacaram tambÃm as principais contribuiÃÃes para a formaÃÃo dos futuros professores, alÃm de evidenciar algumas dificuldades. / Studies the contributions of Institutional Scholarship Program Introduction to Teaching (PIBID) for initial teacher education at the Federal University of Cearà (UFC) in the perception of participating subjects, the fulfillment of the objectives of the program. In order to know more about the history of teacher education in Brazil is revisited it work Dermeval Saviani and analyzed the social and political context that influenced the educational reforms in the quest to understand the creation and implementation of PIBID. This research is based on public policies for teacher training, since the Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education - LDB to the normative ordering the program. It has been as a methodological option to the basic nature of research, exploratory, using technical procedure as the case study of qualitative approach. The locus of the research was PIBID-UFC with extension in the public schools of Basic Education are developed where the actions of the program. The universe consists of all subjects participating in the program in 2014, namely: 359 fellows from initiation to teaching, 54 supervisors, 24 coordinators area three coordinators of the management and the institutional coordinator. The non-probabilistic sample, consisted of 23 initiation scholarship teaching six supervisors and institutional coordinator. Privileged were therefore 14 subprojects, 13 of the 27 schools where they develop program activities. The data collection instruments were used in the steps of document analysis, observation, interview and questionnaire. The analysis of the collected data was organized in categories: personal characteristics, as well as pursuing the goals of PIBID, to encourage the education of teachers, enhance the teaching career, contribute to the quality of education, innovation in teaching methodologies, encourage public schools, and articulate the theory with practice. It is understood that this research has some limitations due to the scope and complexity of the program already has, lying in all degrees, covered in various schools and developing a diverse range of activities. The data revealed that there is compliance with the objectives of the Program, in the view of respondents, which also highlighted the main contributions to the training of future teachers, and also highlights some difficulties.

Title: Profile of a successful MMA fighter Objectives: The main objective of this dissertation is to put together a profile of a successful MMA fighter of the prestigious organization UFC which brings together the most successful fighters of various styles from all around the world. The next objective was to determine which fighting style in today's prestigious matches is the most appropriate and efficient one to become successful. Methods: It is a theoretical descriptive dissertation. The used method was a research compilation study from several available literary and electronic resources. It presents fight statistics and their evaluation based upon the pragmatic importance. Results: It has been determined that the most successful style of the MMA matches in the UFC organization is wrestler and based upon the available information a profile of a successful MMA fighter has been put together. The body in pain and pleasure : an ethnography of mixed martial arts

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a sport on the rise within the field of martial arts in which competitors fight in a cage and utilize full-contact movements using their fists, elbows, and knees as well as kicks, other strikes, and submission techniques to defeat their opponents. MMA has become a modern social movement in combat sports that has become globalized in a short time and is the fastest growing sport in the world. MMA encompasses disciplines from various martial arts and Olympic sports such as boxing, kickboxing, karate, kempo, jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, tae kwon do, wrestling, sambo, judo, etc. The rounds are five minutes in length and there are typically three rounds in a contest, unless it is a championship fight in which case the contest lasts five rounds. The aim of this study is to analyze the bodily constructions and productions within the MMA culture and especially the constructed human violence associated with the sport. Based on autoethnographic participation in three Swedish MMA clubs, as well as shorter fieldwork case studies conducted in Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Brazil, and the US, this thesis investigates the interrelationship between MMA, excitement, sensationalism, and the spectacular physical violence that stains the participants’ bodies. Concepts taken from performance ethnography are applied to an analysis of what is reconstructed bodily. This is followed by an analysis that attempts to outline what body-violence means and how this understanding of the informants’ bodies, as well as of the researcher’s body-knowledge, reconstructs the definitions of MMA. A phenomenological approach to the concept of fighting is also included in relation to the MMA landscape. Thus, I present how the body learns the cultural enactments in fighting and how these forces shape the fighters’ gender, habitus, and way of resisting the discourse of critical opinions on MMA practice. It has as goal to identify the enhancements occurred in the UFC’s Library System during the last seven years, especially those resulting from the implementation of the REUNI Program. This research is exploratory of the documental kind and its relevance is due to the identification of the improvements occurring in the Library System of the UFC as result of the REUNI, to the extent of being able to reveal whether the strength of the Law of the Evaluation System of Higher Education (SINAES), no. 10.861 from April 14th of 2004, as a tool to improve the SBU. Thus, we analyzed the UFC’s investments applied to that system, comparing them with those made from the installation onward. The data were about the actions and inversions in the period from 2001 to 2006, before the REUNI, when the evaluation system, SINAES, still was taking the first steps at the federal institution of higher education. The data were compared to the inversions from 2007 to 2014, which was born from the REUNI and analyzed by this study. The results showed that the REUNI was a relevant factor and an effective tool to both, the modernization of the library systems and its management in the UFC, and that somehow SINAES has contributed to the improvement and the increase in the collection of the University Libraries System. / O estudo apresenta a avaliação do impacto do Programa de Apoio a Planos de Reestruturação e Expansão das Universidades Federais (REUNI) no Sistema de Bibliotecas Universitárias (SBU) da Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC). Tem por objetivo identificar as melhorias ocorridas no Sistema de Bibliotecas da UFC nos últimos sete anos, especialmente a partir da implantação do REUNI. A pesquisa é exploratória e torna-se relevante por possibilitar a identificação das melhorias ocorridas no Sistema de Bibliotecas da UFC com o advento do REUNI, ao tempo em que busca desvelar se a força da Lei nº 10.861, de 14 de abril de 2004, do Sistema de Avaliação da Educação Superior (SINAES) como instrumento de melhoria da qualidade da educação superior, proporcionou o avanço de maiores investimentos no SBU. Para tanto, tentou-se analisar os investimentos da UFC no referido sistema antes do REUNI, comparando-os com os que ocorreram a partir da sua implantação, o que culmina também com as ações demandadas do Sistema Nacional de Avaliação da Educação Superior (SINAES). Os dados apresentados referem-se às ações e investimentos do período de 2001 a 2006, anterior ao REUNI, e quando o sistema de avaliação, SINAES, ainda estreava seus primeiros passos nas instituições federais de ensino superior. Os dados referentes aos anos de 2007 a 2014 analisados nesta pesquisa permitem conferir que houve significativo aumento do acervo, reflexo do considerável investimento de recursos. Esses dados foram importantes para a conclusão de que o REUNI foi um fator preponderante e instrumento eficaz tanto para a modernização do sistema de bibliotecas como para a gestão desse sistema na UFC e que, de alguma forma, o SINAES vem contribuindo para a melhoria e para o aumento do acervo do Sistema de Bibliotecas Universitárias.

Sustentabilidade socioambiental no gerenciamento dos campi da UFC / Social and environmental sustainability in the management practices at the campi of the Federal University of CearÃ

Universidade Federal do Cearà / This study aims to identify the level of social and environmental sustainability in the management practices at the campi of the Federal University of Cearà (UFC). At first, the theoretical foundation considers the public management and the socioenvironmental responsibility, highlighting the role of Higher Education Institutions as centers for study, research and extension, which have a large social, cultural and scientific representation; and that, therefore, should demonstrate a coherent policy in pursuit of sustainable development. Then it presents environmental policies, regulatory instruments for environmental management, which have been important guidelines on the diffusion and construction of actions required the insertion of social and environmental responsibility in the activities of public institutions, such as: Plan Sustainable Logistics Management (PLS) provided at the Normative Ruling No. 10/2012, of Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management (MPOG), and Environmental Agenda in Public Administration (A3P). The research can be characterized as a descriptive analysis, and quantitative and qualitative approaches. The study comprises technical procedures of literature, case-studies and document analysis. As for the target audience in the research was chosen preferably by the campi directors and if not possible - or even on campi where there are many academic units with several directors within the same campus as Pici and Benfica - was chosen the one who had most knowledge on the department. As for the means of collecting data, first of all, it was applied a form, as a pilot survey and reliable estimate from the subject of study; and then a questionnaire divided into thematic groups and subgroups, responded on interviews with managers responsible for department related to the questions in order to identify environmental sustainability. The study revealed that the Federal University of Cearà is in the process of implementing sustainable strategies within its workplace, opportunity promoted by Normative Ruling No. 10/2012 that establishing the implementation of a PLS in all government entities. Results also revealed that environmental practices only implemented in a few departments or campus university are valid; however the consolidation of changing attitudes at institution for sustainability will only be effective if the integrated set of the responsible units are considered. / O presente trabalho tem como objetivo identificar o grau de sustentabilidade socioambiental nas prÃticas de gerenciamento dos campi da Universidade Federal do Cearà (UFC). A fundamentaÃÃo teÃrica discorre, inicialmente, sobre a gestÃo pÃblica e responsabilidade socioambiental, destacando o papel das InstituiÃÃes de Ensino Superior (IES) como centros de estudo, pesquisa e extensÃo, com ampla competÃncia de representaÃÃo social, cultural e cientÃfica; e que, devendo assim, apresentar uma postura coerente em busca de um desenvolvimento sustentÃvel. Em seguida, apresenta iniciativas de polÃticas ambientais, e instrumentos de proteÃÃo e gerenciamento ambiental, os quais mostram importantes diretrizes no que diz respeito à difusÃo e a construÃÃo de aÃÃes necessÃrias à inserÃÃo de responsabilidade socioambiental nas atividades de entidades pÃblicas, tais como: Plano de GestÃo de LogÃstica SustentÃvel (PLS), conforme InstruÃÃo Normativa nÂ10/MPOG/2012, e Agenda da AdministraÃÃo PÃblica (A3P). Caracteriza-se como uma pesquisa do tipo descritiva, com abordagem quantiqualitativa. O estudo compreende procedimentos tÃcnicos de pesquisa bibliogrÃfica, estudo de caso, documental e de campo. Quanto aos sujeitos participantes da pesquisa optou-se preferencialmente pelo diretor do campus e na impossibilidade deste responder â ou, ainda, nos campi em que hà diversas unidades acadÃmicas com vÃrios diretores dentro do mesmo campus, como os do Pici e Benfica â decidiu-se por alguÃm que tinha maior conhecimento sobre o setor/Ãrea. Quanto aos instrumentos de coleta de dados, aplicou-se em principio um formulÃrio, como prÃ-teste e ambientaÃÃo em relaÃÃo ao campo de estudo; e, em seguida, um questionÃrio dividido em grupos temÃticos e subgrupos de critÃrios, respondido em entrevistas realizadas com os gestores, responsÃveis pelos setores ligados aos temas escolhidos ideais na identificaÃÃo da sustentabilidade ambiental. Os resultados apontam que a Universidade Federal do Cearà à uma instituiÃÃo que inicia a inserÃÃo de critÃrios ambientais nas atividades institucionais, oportunidade promovida pela InstruÃÃo normativa nÂ10/MPOG/2012 que estabelece a implantaÃÃo de um PLS em todas as entidades do poder pÃblico. Constata-se que as prÃticas ambientais implantadas de forma isolada sÃo vÃlidas, porÃm a consolidaÃÃo de mudanÃas de atitudes na instituiÃÃo em prol da sustentabilidade somente serà concretizada com atuaÃÃo de forma integrada entre as unidades responsÃveis.
