Deformačně-napěťová analýza fixace kostí palce nohy / Strain-stress analysis of fixed bone of foot

Zapletal, Jakub January 2018 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with analysis of the rigidity of different variations of foot fixations. In the thesis there is a description of elementary anatomy of foot and its patology. Furthermore the possible corrections of hallux deformities and chosen fixators are described. The problem of analysis is soluted by the method of finite elements. The thesis also includes steps of geometery model creation based on 3D scanning. Three differents types of fixations are compared in this thesis and each of them is created in two different levels of details. There is a comparation, analysis of final solutions and chosen influences on the rigidity in the conclusion.

Neinvazivní obrazová analýza hallux valgus / Noninvasive image analysis of hallux valgus

Setínková, Jana January 2014 (has links)
6 Abstract Title: Noninvasive image analysis of hallux valgus. Objectives: Propose a simple, cheap, fast and non-invasive method for diagnostics and monitoring the effect of therapy of hallux valgus deformity. Methods: Evaluation the parameters in X-ray and photography which were taken before and after therapy of hallux valgus. I measured angles on foot in programme AutoCAD and confront the correlation of angles in X-ray and photography. I also looked for an angle similar to the hallux valgus angle. Results: The method of photography can be effective in physiotherapeutic practise. This diploma is a case study, therefore we cannot consider the results implicitly significant. Keywords: Hallux valgus angle, X - ray, photography, HV I angle, HV II angle

Comparison of landing knee valgus angle between female basketball and football athletes: Possible implications for anterior cruciate ligament and patellofemoral joint injury rates

Munro, Allan G., Herrington, L.C., Comfort, P. January 2012 (has links)
No / Objective To evaluate landing strategies of female football and basketball athletes with relation to possible injury mechanisms and disparity in injury. Design Descriptive laboratory study. Participants 52 female football players and 41 female basketball players. Main outcome measures Frontal plane projection angle (FPPA) was measured during the single leg land (SLL) and drop jump (DJ) screening tasks. Results 2 × 2 × 2 mixed factorial ANOVA showed significant main effects were observed for sport, whilst significant interaction effects were seen between sport and task. Females in both sports exhibited significantly greater FPPA values during the SLL task than the DJ task (p < 0.001). Basketball players demonstrated significantly greater FPPA values during SLL than football players (p < 0.001), whilst no differences were found between sports in the DJ task (p = 0.328). Conclusion Female basketball players display greater FPPA values during unilateral landing tasks than female football players which may reflect the greater ACL injury occurrence in this population. Injury prevention programs in these athletes should incorporate unilateral deceleration and landing tasks and should consider the specific injury mechanisms in each sport.

Vliv obuvi na deformity nohy u žen - role sestry v prevenci / The effect of footwear on deformity of the foot in a woman - the role of the nurse in prevention

MLEJNKOVÁ, Natálie January 2019 (has links)
The topic of this diploma thesis is "Influence of footwear on foot deformities in women - the role of nurses in prevention". The theoretical part is devoted to the foot anatomy, it describes the issue of heels on the foot and represents the Giraffe certification. The practical part of the qualitative research shows the role of nurses in preventing foot deformities for patients. This thesis has two goals. To find out what footwear affects the deformities of the legs in women and to find out what role the nurse plays in preventing this issue. The research questions are 1. What is the importance of wearing high-heeled shoes for women and how will this be reflected later? 2. What role do nurses attribute to the prevention in this issue? Data collection was collected by semi-structured interviews with nurses in the orthopaedic ward and orthopaedic clinics. The research sample consists of 20 respondents, the choice was deliberate and formed by snowball sampling. In February 2019, data was collected, which was subsequently terminated at the moment of theoretical saturation. The interview covered themes: wearing high-heeled shoes, leg deformities caused by high-heeled shoes, nurse-led prevention and education. The results show that only a fraction of nurses adhere to the role of a nurse who helps patients prevent leg deformities. The rest of the nurses leave prevention and education to doctors. This diploma thesis presents as a work output a poster, which can be an information material for nurses from the orthopaedic clinics and beds. The output of the thesis is an educational poster that will reflect the entire nursing issue in prevention (the role of a nurse, the deformity of the feet caused by high-heeled shoes, etc.).

Předoperační plánování rekonstrukčních operací přednoží / Preoperative planning of the reconstructive surgery of the forefoot

Klouda, Jan January 2021 (has links)
Univerzita Karlova v Praze 1. lékařská fakulta Postgraduální doktorský program v biomedicíně Studijní obor: Experimentální chirurgie Disertační práce MUDr. Jan Klouda: Preoperative planning of the reconstructive surgery of the forefoot Abstract The presented thesis describes a study aimed at the change of articular surface position in the region of first metatarsophalangeal joint after operative reconstruction due to hallux valgus deformity, done by performing Lapidus arthrodesis. The study evaluates a cohort of patients, who underwent surgery in Department of Orthopaedics, First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague at Motol University Hospital from 2010 to 2015. The results and clinical implications of the aforementioned retrospective study were published in 2018. The observers evaluated several defined angles on preoperative and postoperative radiographs of the forefoot. The angles were thoroughly selected with regard to the exact representation of first metatarsophalangeal joint articular surface position in relation to the axes of first metatarsal and the whole forefoot. The executed measurements allowed us to assess the overall effectivity of the performed surgery in deformity correction, as well as to describe possible pitfalls and disadvantages resulting from the change of structural...
