Městské lázně / The Municipal Baths

Slezák, Filip January 2010 (has links)
The term spa is associated with water treatment which is also known as balneotherapy. Spa towns or spa resorts (including hot springs resorts) typically offer thermal or mineral water for drinking and bathing. They also offer various health treatments. The belief in the curative powers of mineral waters goes back to prehistoric times. Such practices have been popular worldwide, but are especially widespread in Europe and Japan. Day spas are also quite popular, and offer various personal care treatments.

Termální lázně Yverdon, pět smyslů v architektuře / Thermal baths Yverdon, five senses in architecture

Kočí, Tereza January 2015 (has links)
Spa areal in Yverdon is a peculiar green isle in the context of the town, which is surrounded by a build-up area, so it is the part of the town in the same time. So I decided to propose the spa in more than one object to create a piece of the town - but lying in the park, which can bring diverse situations to the place and enrich the park not just for the users of the spa itself. There are three basic parts of the spa project content - so that three houses. Public spa with wellness, therapeutic spa and the hotel. There is large water face interconnecting the spa houses and a big hard surface as the counter balance of the water. In the design of the space arrangement my aim was to propose simple spaces with easy orientation within. Frequent motiv is the contrast of the opened and enclosed or the view-throughs into the further spaces.

Postavení vodohospodářské společnosti v okrese Břeclav

Němečková, Petra January 2015 (has links)
Drinking water supply is exclusively secured by the companies in monopoly position. Many of us mistakenly believe that the supply of drinking water and the collection of waste water is secured by only one water management company. There can be one or more water management companies in every district. In the district of Břeclav there is one water management company which secures drinking water supply in three areas: Břeclav, Hustopeče and Mikulov. Water management companies represent a territorial monopoly. Because of this they are subjects of control of the price determining authorities. In the case of water management company it is competent financial authority. This diploma thesis demonstrates that there is a decrease in water consumption while there is simultaneously an increase in the price of the consumed water, so that the water management company can generate sufficient profit to cover the operating costs and investment activities.

Šváb, Ondřej January 2017 (has links)
Topic of master thesis is Comparison of methods for determining the biochemical oxygen demand. This thesis is focused on mutual comparison of four analytical methods for determining the biochemical oxygen demand on four different samples of water, matrices. It is described principles of determining methods and procedures that are defining by norms and specific manufacturer practices. The result of thesis is evaluation individual methods, advantages and disadvantages and also comparison of methods in terms of repeatability of results, price, labor intensity and time.

Mikve: fenomén židovské obřadnosti (rituální lázně v Čechách) / Mikveh: the phenomenon of Jewish solemity (ritual baths in Bohemia)

Žahourová, Ivana January 2012 (has links)
Resumé This diplom work is devoted to the ritual purification of the Hebrew in mikva. Mikva is a Hebrew ritual bath which must fulfull certain religious regulations to be understood as properly religious. All the regulations and order regarding the functioning, construction and water, which is allowed to be used, are stated in Misna in the tractate Mikwa'ot. The basis for the ritual adequacy of mikva is water which should have inflow and outflow. Mikva serves to renew ritual cleanliness of a person who became ritually unclean. This ritual dates back to the times when Desater made a commandment to Sinaji. The first people who practiced the ritual were supposedly priests. Those were impurified after the contact with a dead body, carrion of an animal or a snake; after emission of semen or spermatorrhoea. During the times of the first Church the whole population including children cleaned themselves from different impurities. After the deconstruction of the Church the law regualting cleanliness and impurities changed. Today mikva is visited by women firstly before wedding, then after each menstruation period and after giving birth. Men are no longer obliged to practise the ritual after the deconstruction of the Church however even today orhodox Hebrew and chasids clean themselves before important Hebrew...

Dlouhodobý režim proudění podzemních vod v hlubokých pánevních kolektorech, na příkladu ovlivnění hydrogeologických poměrů české křídové pánve hornickou činnosti v okolí Stráže pod Ralskem / Long-term groundwater regime in multilayered water-bearing systems on the example of uranium mining impact on groundwater conditions of the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin, Czech Republic

Lipanský T. (2016): Dlouhodobý režim proudění podzemních vod v hlubokých pánevních kolektorech, na příkladu ovlivnění hydrogeologických poměrů české křídové pánve hornickou činností v okolí Stráže pod Ralskem. Doktorská disertační práce. - Univerzita Karlova v Praze Abstract: This thesis sumerises the development of groundwater regime in a multilayered water-bearing system of the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin in maximal proposed extent of area where the groundwater regime had been affected by mining of radioactive materials near Strář pod Ralskem. The aim of the work was to describe the groundwater regime on the basis of measured monitoring data and map interpolations. The former Uranium mining from Cenomanian sandstone sediments represents the largest human impact on the natural groundwater flow of a multilayered water-bearing system within both the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin and the Czech Republic. Newly created graphs and maps of piezometric surfaces bring an insight into the dynamics of the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin water-bearing system and give an idea of long- term groundwater heads and flow directions development in the studied area. This was achieved despite the fact that this study does not present a hydraulic model, but an interpolation of monitoring data. Maps and grids of piezometric surfaces can be...

Analýza složení pitného režimu u studentů Jihočeské univerzity v Českých Budějovicích / Analysis of drinking mode of university students University of South Bohemia.

VOBORNÍK, Tomáš January 2019 (has links)
The theme of this graduation thesis is Analysis of drinking mode students of University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. The theoretical part is focused on function of water in human body. Different sources of drinking water and statndarts for using are mentioned there. The next part deals with alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages in drinking mode and their effect on human body. Drinking mode is described from the point of view by different groups. In the end of theoretical part age group of students who is the research focused on is presented in detail. The practical part was realized by quantitative form which was distribuated among students. The aim of this research was described drinking mode of students during the day. I focused on volume and timing of fluid intake. Additionaly, I found out which types of drinks are consumed among students and compared gender differences within the researched group.

Odstraňování mědi z odpadních vod za využití umělých mokřadů / Removal of copper from wastewater using a constructed wetland

POMIJOVÁ, Zuzana January 2015 (has links)
This work deals with the efficiency of copper removal from wastewater using constructed wetlands. The object of this study was the vegetation wastewater treatment plant in the village of Slavošovice. During 2014, I used atomic absorption spectrometry to determine Cu concentration in the effluent. Samples were taken from different parts of the treatment plant (the inflow and outflow, and selected sampling sites in the vegetation bed). The obtained results enable to calculate the efficiency of copper removal from municipal wastewater.
