Приемы и принципы проектирования прибрежных парков в Китае на примере парка Биньхай в Харбине : магистерская диссертация / Methods and principles of designing coastal parks in China on the example of Binhai Park in Harbin

Sun, W. January 2023 (has links)
The globalization processes that have engulfed the world contribute to the complete erasure of “borders” between cities, countries, cultures, and ethnic groups. However, against the backdrop of a cosmopolitan metropolis, people's need for spiritual culture has not decreased, and they are increasingly striving to live in a unique city. At present, humanity is coming to realize the value of individual cultures that have retained their originality. Whether the urban landscape is distinctive or not, parks in every city in the world play a special role that cannot be ignored. Parks are not only works of landscape and architectural art in the city, but also an important platform for meeting the spiritual and cultural needs of the population, as well as a form of expression of the unique national and regional architecture of the region. Harbin has formed a unique regional culture in the process of urban development. On the one hand, it includes the natural and regional features of Harbin, and on the other hand, the historical and cultural regional features, which were influenced by political, cultural and other factors of the historical process of urban development. Harbin's waterfront landscape should embody rich form changes using regional culture. Only the city waterfront project, combined with regional culture, can inherit the historical meaning of the city and show the traditional culture of the city and China as a whole. The thesis researches and analyzes the actual analogues of the world's coastal parks, generalizes the combination of regional culture and landscape technologies on the waterfront in order to express the features of the regional culture of the northeast region of China. An analysis of the history of regional culture and architecture in Harbin provided the basis for the Harbin Coastal Park project. The thesis reveals the principles and methods of the traditional Chinese natural landscape and the regional culture of Harbin. The idea of the thematic concept of the embankment project was developed, taking into account the influence of the multicultural traditions of China on the architectural and planning solution of the modern coastal park and using the original design of green spaces of centuries-old landscape Chinese art. After analyzing the wishes of citizens of different age groups, a functional scheme of the park was developed. The project takes into account the requirements of environmentalists to protect the environment and preserve untouched green areas. The park project on the Songhua River is an ennobled area with a beautifully preserved landscape. After the implementation of the project, the park will become a place of attraction for citizens and tourists, a hallmark of Harbin.

Inga Llatas, Cibely Alejandra January 2024 (has links)
The research focuses on the limits of the riverbank located in the southern part of Bagua, emphasizing the characteristics and value it has in the territory and in the city. This riparian edge has great importance in terms of prehistory, culture and physical reality, but it is currently in the process of deterioration and its boardwalk is not being used for leisure and cultural activities. The main objective is to recover the riparian edge of Bagua through an architectural infrastructure that is linked to leisure and culture, incorporating public space and taking into account design strategies that are a response to the analysis of the riparian edge. For this, an analysis of the areas with vegetation has been carried out, the study of cases where architecture is a space of relationship between the city and the river or another limit and, the design of a building malecon as an architectural proposal on the riverbank, considering the master plan and development of the architectural program. The stages of research have been developed under the observation technique, the first two being by means of cartographies and the third through theoretical analysis as architectural references. The last stage consisted of cartographies and planimetries.

Paulhiac, Florence 19 December 2002 (has links) (PDF)

INHABITING THE PERIPHERY: a dialogue between individual and site

Kown, Robert Oliver 01 August 2011 (has links)
What is a periphery? We can think about this word in more than one way. First off, peripheries are places that exist as spatial conditions in cities, They indicate edges and places that have been left behind. Spaces that have lost their meaning. But in this thesis I will use the word in another way as well. What does the periphery mean for us today? What are those parts of our lives that have been marginalized, and how can we begin to reclaim what has been lost? It is the aim of this thesis to address these issues of the individual in a site that exists on the edge of Manhattan--a place physically separated from the city by means of a highway, and in so doing, redeem both a physical space as well as a place within ourselves. One way in which we as a society create this edge condition within ourselves centers around how we structure our time. How do we work? When do we work? And, conversely, when do we rest? An important part of our twenty-first century lives centers around our ability to be in constant communication. Recent advancements in communication technology are fast shaping the way in which we live, and, as a result, we have constructed a world in which productivity and communication are no longer limited by our physical place. For its many benefits, one problem created by this is that of a population simultaneously connected to the world, yet easily disconnected from their physical place. When do we turn off? And, more importantly, what are we missing by being so endlessly connected? In response to this situation, I feel that we as a society need moments of repose to restore balance in our lives. It is during these breaks in our day that we are better able to synthesize information, form memory and maintain balance between engagement and rest. By connecting our minds with our bodies, moments of repose serve as physical and mental experiences that ground us in place.

Designing the Edge : An Inquiry into the Psychospatial Nature of Meaning in the Architecture of the Urban Waterfront

Ioannidis, Konstantinos January 2011 (has links)
The initial goal of this effort is to develop a discussion on urban design process and thinking that acknowledges the needs of places with meaning in the design of the urban waterfront. The thesis addresses the fact that the problematic of the coastal formulation is intricate, comprising not only aspects related to the spatial organization and design of its domain but also shared properties originated by the presence and movement of the perceiving subject in the area. In this framework, the research attempts to provide an understanding of the main relationships that the subject cultivates inside the coastal space and to offer a broader spatial reading of its narrative function. On the hypothesis that this function is susceptible of interpretation, the thesis develops an interest in examining the effects of the psychospatial nature of meaning on the design and experience of the urban edge, for to interpret a narrative spatial construct is to specify its meaning. To explore the issue of waterfront places that speak of the subject, the research conceives the coastal space as a field of mediated parameters that pertain to three crucial operational premises: the symbolic function of the urban space near the water, the meaning behind the coastal form, and the engagement of the perceiving subject in the conscious or reflexive appropriation of the waterfront setting. These premises, traced as psychophysiological spaces, determine the intermediary, the integrative, and the expressive discourses for the development of places with meaning near the water. Through them, the thesis attempts a reading of the coastal domain based upon the material interpretation of the meanings and messages associated with the immediate experience of the onset of water‐born notions, concepts, and images. Writing about the dialectics between the psychospatial inquiry and the spatial experience of the edge, this thesis suggests that, contrary to the established preconception, the psychology of human‐edge relations submits the perceiving subject to the conception of the coastal form and shape. / QC 20110907

Rumslig socioekonomisk variation i Karlstad : En studie av vattnets roll för socioekonomisk fördelning i Karlstad tätort / Spatial socioeconomic variation in Karlstad : A study of the impact of blue spaces on socioeconomic distribution in the city of Karlstad

Grund, Henrik, Andersson, Joel January 2018 (has links)
Where people choose to live is a consequence of a variety of factors, such as housing cost, design, localization and personal considerations. Urban blue spaces provide a range of perceived benefits to nearby inhabitants and is generally seen as attractive traits for an area, influencing housing cost and demographics amongst other things. This has implications for socioeconomic spatial distribution, and thus the city could also be viewed as a map of socioeconomic variation. This paper seeks to examine the socioeconomic spatial variation in the city of Karlstad in relation to urban blue spaces. Using publicly available statistics for 23 different areas of the city, this variation is visualised in a series of maps and tables. Two models, one using average income and one using a proposed local socioeconomic index, are devised and used to estimate the impact of blue spaces on socioeconomic spatial variation in Karlstad. Results show a significant socioeconomic variation between different areas. Certain areas score high and certain areas score low in every category of the socioeconomic index, painting the picture of a socioeconomically divided city. The models used are proven to be inaccurate. Although the four areas with the lowest average income are all located in zones furthest from blue spaces, no evidence indicate that high and medium high average income areas, nor areas with high socioeconomic index, generally are located in closer proximity to blue spaces. Findings imply that socioeconomic spatial variation in Karlstad cannot be reduced to blue spaces and is a complex area of further research.

The practice analyzed was the tourism, initially regarded as a social and economic phenomenon responsible for the movement of the service sector. Therefore, after a refinement promoted by reflections during the empirical phase, arose the question: how occur the organizing and learning of tourism as a practice located on the waterfront of João Pessoa/PB? Aiming to answer the question, we identified etnometodological the set of activities that constitute tourism as practice in waterfront João Pessoa / PB. In line with the Practice Based Studies on the method employed was ethnomethodology and techniques of data collection were used visual data, observation record in field notes, interviews and informal conversations. The waterfront where are situated the beaches of Manaíra, Tambaú and Cabo Branco in Joao Pessoa - PB this was the area in which the research was conducted, in addition to the prior process of attending meetings of the Local Management waterfront Committee. Data analysis was performed after triangulation, based on five key concepts of ethnomethodology garfinkiliana, whether achievement, indexicality, accountability, reflexivity and the member notion. The results indicate that the set of sociomateriais elements (human and nonhuman) that underpin tourism as practice in waterfront allowed illustrate how the material offers new possibilities to use this space. Finally, promoted a reflection on the process of social learning and practice of tourism on the waterfront from which it was found indeed that organizing and learning are intimately related parts of the same process. As a social practice, a new concept of tourism is presented as well as the constraints faced in the research and suggestions for future research.

: Platsidentitetens framväxt i ett nybyggt bostadsområde / What is a Sjöstadsbo? : The evolution of place identity in a developing urban area

Ösgård, Anton January 2017 (has links)
This paper examines some processes behind the creation of place identity and place attachment using a broad theoretical framework. The framework is structured around the creation of space and place, followed by theories and models on how places are given identity and finally some possible effects of place identity. These theories are then used to examine place identity formation among residents and real estate agents in Hammarby Sjöstad, a newly developed urban residential area in Stockholm, Sweden. A total of 5 in depth interviews were carried out with local residents in different parts of the residential area, as well as 3 in depth interviews with real estate agents active in different parts of the area. The interviews were transcribed and analysed in relation to the theoretical framework as well as documents relating to the planning of the area. The study shows that there has formed a local identity in Hammarby Sjöstad, not defined by the administrative borders of the area. The perceived extent of the area most probably stem from that the lake Hammarby Sjö acts as a physical barrier between the area and the rest of the inner city. This might be the reason to the evolution of a defined perceived community there. The effects of this could be a contributing factor in the segregation that is evident in urban areas, which calls for attention to the possible effects of place identity in urban planning.
