This research intends to investigate how effective the constitution of African descent women\'s writing in the novel Ponciá Vicêncio, Conceição Evaristo. For this, we analyze the recent theoretical formulations on afro descendant literature in Brazil and that made possible the concept of this literature. From these discussions we examine the issues that are around writing Conceição Evaristo makes it important figure in the recovery and propagation of african - Brazilian literature. Moreover, it discusses about some notes about the black, in Brazil, from discussions that revolve around the emergence of new identities, which caused the emergence of new social movements, especially feminist movements to thereafter analyze the novel Ponciá Vicêncio relations of identity representation that values the role of black women in african - Brazilian culture. And finally, approach is memory-related issues in the novel Ponciá Vicêncio, Conceição Evaristo, the main aim is to rescue the varied forms of memories that take place at the individual and group level and bring to the discussion the importance of memory to preserve traditions and knowledge of the culture of a people. Besides, investigate how Conceição Evaristo provided black woman regains that memory. As this author pursues, the novel traces of a memory to reconstruct a history of Blacks lost, and through her screaming for a feeling that itself Conceição appointing of resistance and insubordination. / Essa dissertação pretende investigar como se efetiva a constituição da escrita feminina afrodescendente no romance Ponciá Vicêncio, de Conceição Evaristo. Para tanto, analisa-se as formulações teóricas recentes sobre a literatura afrodescendente no Brasil e que tornaram possível o conceito desta literatura. A partir destas discussões examinam-se as questões que estão em torno da escrita de Conceição Evaristo que a torna figura importante na valorização e propagação da literatura afro-brasileira. Além disso, discorre-se sobre alguns apontamentos acerca do negro, no Brasil, a partir de discussões que giram em torno o surgimento de novas identidades, que ocasionaram o surgimento de novos movimentos sociais, especialmente os movimentos feministas para, a partir daí analisar no romance Ponciá Vicêncio as relações de representação identitária que valorize o papel da mulher negra na cultura afro-brasileira. E finalmente, abordam-se questões relativas à memória no romance Ponciá Vicêncio, de Conceição Evaristo, o intuito principal é resgatar as variadas formas de lembranças que se efetivam no plano individual e coletivo e que trazem para a discussão a importância da memória para a preservação de tradições e conhecimentos da cultura de um povo. Além de, investigar como Conceição Evaristo na condição de mulher negra recupera essa memória. Como essa autora persegue, no romance os vestígios de uma memória para recompor uma história perdida dos negros, e através dela gritar por um sentimento que a própria Conceição nomeia de resistência e insubordinação. / Mestre em Teoria Literária
