Massage, beröring och aromaterapi som symtomlindring hos patienter som lever med cancer : En litteraturöversikt / Massage, touch and aromatherapy as symptom relief in patients living with cancerWallgren, Amanda, Olsson, Elinor January 2017 (has links)
Background: Receiving a cancer diagnosis can for some be seen as getting a death sentence. It often evokes strong feelings of both the patients and their relatives. Living with cancer is often experienced as stressful both physically and mentally from the symptoms and side effects from treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation. 碩士 / 南華大學 / 自然生物科技學系自然療癒碩士班 / 104 / Background and Purpose: The sleep quality of nurses and dysmenorrhea has long been topics of concern. However, research regarding whether these issues have led to the use of essential oils and aromatherapy is scarce. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to investigate the factors associated with sleep quality, dysmenorrhea, and the utilization of essential oils and aromatherapy among female nurses in Taiwan.
Study design: A cross-sectional survey.
Materials and Methods: Female nurses were recruited from a regional teaching hospital in southern Taiwan during January and February, 2016. Information on demography, lifestyle, perceived general health status, sleep quality, menstruation, and the knowledge, attitude, and use of essential oils and aromatherapy were collected. Descriptive statistics, Fisher’s exact test, univariate and multiple logistic regression analyses were used to analyze the data.
Results: A total of 500 questionnaires were distributed with a response rate of 92%. The mean age of the respondents was 31.2 years. The educational level of the respondents was mainly university level (66.8%), 68% of them were unmarried, and 73% had no children. Their work units were primarily the internal medicine ward. Over half of them (55.8%) were on shift work schedule and 60% indicated that their perceived health status was average. In addition, 43.9 % reported that they had been diagnosed or perceived to have at least one chronic disease. Of all the respondents, 70.8% indicated that they had poor sleep quality. Older age and the suffering from a chronic disease were associated with poor sleep quality. On the other hand, a good perceived health was associated with good sleep quality. Regarding the findings of dysmenorrhea, a higher educational level and those suffering from a chronic disease were more prone to dysmenorrhea. Those who with dysmenorrhea were significantly more likely to have poor sleep quality. In addition, respondents with a higher education level had a more positive attitude of essential oils and aromatherapy, whereas those with an underweight body mass index showed a more negative attitude toward essential oils and aromatherapy. It should also be noted that those who sought to understand essential oils and aromatherapy, their scores in knowledge and attitudes were higher. However, there were no associations between the scores in knowledge and attitude and sleep quality or dysmenorrhea.
Conclusion: The findings from this study could be used to inform medical institutions the importance of sleep quality and dysmenorrhea among the nursing staff. Courses on essential oils and aromatherapy should be provided by hospitals to encourage their proper use as a tool for relieving work-related stress.

碩士 / 建國科技大學 / 自動化工程系暨機電光系統研究所 / 100 / ABSTRACT
This thesis applied Gray relational applications to test and verify the relationship between essential oil aromatherapy and hear beat rate variables’ impact factors. Thirteen healthy testers used three kinds of aromatherapies: lavender essential oil, bergamot oil, rosemary essential oil. The testers breathed in by tubes and combined with autonomic nervous energy analyzer to analyze the actual data. It explored the influence of essential oil aromatherapy to autonomic nerves and the main impact factors ranking of physical pressure removing. By means of Gray relational applications analysis, it is proved to facilitate the clinical interpretation of autonomic nervous energy analyzer.
The experimental results proved the main impact factors ranking of three kinds of essential oils to alleviate pressure aromatherapies in smoothing pressure is: PSI pressure index> HRT average heart beat rate> LF sympathetic nerve (low frequency)> HF parasympathetic nerve (high frequency). After using lavender essential oil, bergamot essential oil, rosemary essential oil, the heart beat rate variables vales indicates pressure index reduction and high frequency power increasing significantly. Clinical trials proved these three essential oil aromatherapies have the effects of smoothing, stability and relieving. They are also proved to stabilize hear beat rate and reduce pressure. It is expected to practice in practical environmental design in the future and provide great helps in a higher life quality.

The study of aromatherapy by using sevenchakra essential oils on heart rate variability / 七輪芳香療法於心率變異分析之研究CHU-CHEN,LO, 羅菊貞 January 2014 (has links)
碩士 / 建國科技大學 / 美容科技研究所 / 102 / Stress is a natural response of disturbing the balance of physical and mental change arising. When our perception and expectations do not match, or when we cannot control our feeling of disappointment, pressure appears. In this study, there are seven energy centers in the human body. We can activate our cells, enhance both immunity system and self-healing autologous ability by adapting plant essential oil and then, relieve pressure.
The study analyzes the physiological effects of autonomic nervous system by applying seven-chakra essential oils. The pressure index (PSI) of 56 female volunteers is beyond 50. In the experimental group, each essential oil has quantified 0.1 ml, whereas the controlled group, water has quantified 0.1 ml. Through inhalation, the effect of reducing PSI is the most obvious by using the heart chakra essential oil – the mean heart rate (Mean HRT), pressure index (PSI) and low frequency (LF) are significantly reduced, but the high-frequency (HF), normal heartbeat interval standard deviation (SDNN) are significantly increased. Direct inhalation of chakra essential oils may activate the physiological activity of the heart rate variability. This analysis can be used as a reference in aromatherapy application
