Med Satan i ryggen i Guds armé : Brott mot Gud inom den svenska armén 1704-1723Hallegren, Jakob January 2016 (has links)
This thesis focuses on Swedish soldiers and their crimes against God within the Swedish army. In the late seventeenth century, the Swedish army reformed. Earlier wars had proven the old military system of enrolment and jurisdiction ineffective, stressing the fact that new articles of war were needed. In the new statutory framework no less than the first 22 articles determine the conditions of religion and its practice, proclaiming apostasy and heresy as the worst crimes within the army. Nonetheless, research has shown an over-representation of soldiers, or former soldiers committing these types of crimes, addressing the origin of these crimes to the military profession and the military environment. However, the knowledge about this is limited, and how the military adjudication dealt with these matters is highly neglected. By using the theoretical concepts of place and space (in Swedish plats and rum) alongside a theoretical culture perspective, this study aims to examine the contents of military legislation and how the military adjudicated these crimes, and will show that crimes, such as making a deal with the Devil, was a part of the military culture.

Centrala förhandlingar och löneutjämning : En komparativ studie av lönespridningen i Sverige och Norge under efterkrigstidenBjurvald Johnzon, Jesper January 2016 (has links)
Wage compression was an important goal for Swedish blue-collar trade unions during the post-war period. This was achieved during the period 1956-1982 and is credited by many due to the writings of trade union-economists Gösta Rehn and Rudolf Meidner. However some scholars question the substantial impact that is credited to the program drafted from Rehn and Meidners writings, some mean to say that the market could be equally if not sole creditable or responsible for the Swedish development of wage compression. This paper compares the development of wage compression and dispersion between Norway and Sweden during the said period in order to find out which had more impact: the market or trade union ideology? The result is two-pronged: The market forces put the terms for a similar development during the period, the Swedish wage policies put the terms for the differences.

Euroskepticismen hos VP och SD: Likheter, skillnader, traditionella argument och alternativ till EU : En jämförande fallstudie av Vänsterpartiet och Sverigedemokraternas euroskepticism / Euroscepticism in the Left Party and the Swedish Democrats: Similarities, differences, traditional features and an alternative to the EU : a comparative study of Euroscepticism in the Left Party and the Swedish DemocratsEngsjö-Lindgren, My January 2019 (has links)
The purpose of this thesis is to describe the hard euroscepticism in two Swedish parties: The Swedish democrats and the Left party, by describing and comparing their arguments. I will mainly do this by examining if they have traditional features in their arguments and if they have an alternative system to the EU. I’m using a study by Van Bohemen et al and the Benchmark theory by De Vries to analyze the results. The arguments are found in their official party documents. By describing, comparing and analyzing the arguments I’ve found that both parties arguments have anti-institutional and protectionist features. The Left party also argues against economic inequality and the Swedish democrats arguments have ethnocentric features. Besides the traditional ‘arguments’ The Left party also argue that the union is unequal, neoliberal and disregarding the climate changes. Both parties also have an alternative system to the EU. The Left party wants to replace it with international organizations which works against for instance inequality and climate changes. The Swedish democrats wants a deepened Nordic collaboration, which would help the economy as well as protect the Nordic identity. My conclusion is that both parties have traditional Eurosceptic features and an alternative system. There are some similarities as well as differences in their arguments and the differences are mainly ideological.

Upphovsrättsdirektivet : En kvalitativ innehållsanalys av debatten i media kring EU:supphovsrättsdirektiv 2016/0280(COD) / The Copyright Directive : A Qualitative Content Analysis of the Debate in the Media About the EU Copyright Directive 2016/0280(COD)Andersson, Rebecca January 2019 (has links)
The 26th of March the European Parliament voted for the directive Proposal for a Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on Copyright in the Digital Single Market (COM/2016/0593).The directive was then voted through by the Council of Ministers on April 25th and should be implemented into each union states legislation within 24 months. The Directive came to be very controversial and heavily debated in the media, where it has been depicted as either a threat to freedom of speech or as the salvation of copyright owners. Citizens of the Union usually have poor insight in the work of EU and media are the citizens single largest link between them and the Union. What the media reports is interesting to study by the three fundamental democratic values transparency, influence, and accountability. This paper uses a qualitative content analysis with an inductive approach to examine the debate around the Copyright Directive and to highlight the most distinctive arguments and people in the debate in order to examine the results from a democratic perspective. The most striking arguments in the debate is that the basic principles of copyright must be strengthened, that opponents / advocates lacks knowledge, that the Directive contributes to censorship of the internet and a link tax, and that the big internet corporations must take responsibility. Advocates are primarily copyright owners who strive for their rights to receive an income from their work, while opponents are primarily specialists in the field or internet companies who are concerned about the implications of the directive.

Gangnam Style : A qualitative case study on Swedish fashion brands entering and becoming resilient on the South Korean market.Forsvall, Malin, Jonsson, Julia January 2019 (has links)
This study will examine the internationalisation process of Swedish fashion brands entering the South Korean market to be able to get an understanding of how the decision of entry strategy is influenced and how it affects the resilience in the market, as well as identify the drivers and barriers influencing the choice of entry mode. The study was conducted through a qualitative multiple case study with an inductive methodology approach. The literature review was established based on the known theories of internationalisation, entry modes and resilience. Here, the concepts discussed throughout the thesis are presented. Interviews were conducted with five different Swedish fashion brands who were all, to different extents, established on the South Korean market to collect empirical findings. These findings were then discussed in correlation to the presented theories to identify patterns within the internationalisation process to the South Korean market. The conclusion of the thesis is that relationships and networks are important drivers to enter and obtain resilience on the South Korean market. This allows the companies to engage in renewal of activities and flexibility in the constantly changing business environment. Language, lack of knowledge and lack of resources are identified as barriers limiting the level of commitment in the South Korean market.

The English and Swedish Languages’ Effect on Consumers’ Purchase Intention for Modernity-Related Products and Products Unrelated to ModernityHolmberg, Jakob January 2019 (has links)
English is a global language which is associated with modernity and in advertising, English is used to associate products with modernity in the minds of the consumers. In non-English speaking countries, modernity-related products are more often advertised in English than products unrelated to modernity. Despite this, no previous research has proven that consumers’ purchase intention is higher for modernity-related products advertised in English compared to the same product advertised in the native language. Through an online-survey with a between-subject design a quantitative field experiment was conducted. It was found that consumers had a higher purchase intention for modernity-related products advertised in English compared to the same products advertised in Swedish and that consumers’ purchase intention was higher for products unrelated to modernity advertised in Swedish compared to the same products advertised in English.

Den svenska neutraliteten : En studie hur rikets neutralitet skildras i skolans historieböcker / The Swedish neutrality : A study of how school literature Interprets the neutrality of SwedenBlad, Pontus January 2019 (has links)
How has the question of Swedish neutrality been taught in the Swedish school during the 1950s, 1960s and 2000s? Neutrality is changeable and can be linked to shifts in history culture, conscious and contemporary perceptions during time. The material has been interpreted through the hermeneutics guidelines, which means that I have made the interpretation. At the beginning of the Second World War in 1939, the Swedish government declared the country neutral. Sweden was represented during the war by a collective government led by Per Albin Hansson and declared the country as "non-warring". The consequence of this was that Sweden was not drawn into any armed conflict. In our school books, the knowledge is conveyed that Sweden was not included in the Second World War. Between historians and within history science, it is continuously debated to what extent the Swedish government maintained and protected the neutrality. The essay will analyze and study material in which Sweden’s neutrality is portrayed and in what way the transit agreement is reported in the textbooks and how it differs. Differences in history consciousness will be investigated with the help of current research. Compared to previous research, this study provides a more complex understanding of neutrality changes in school textbooks. The analysis has concluded that the historiography appears different over time and that the ethical aspect is becoming increasingly apparent.

Expanding into new markets : Is Lebanon a potential market for Swedish fast fashion companies?Daoud, Dana, Högfeldt, Veronica January 2013 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is to describe and analyze the potential in a new and foreign market and the market we chose to define is Lebanon. We want to see if there is any potential for Swedish fashion companies to establish there and what kind of problems and barriers the companies could bump into if they decide to expand their operations to Lebanon. The theories that the study is based on are Push & Pull, The Uppsala-model, the Internationalization model, international market environments and the entry modes.Lebanon is a potential market for Swedish fashion companies. It is a market with a big consumer group that likes to spend money on fashion. Since Sweden is famous for fashion that comes with both good quality and price, it would profit them if they entered the Lebanese market. Companies should travel to Lebanon and experience the market and the potential there by themselves, before they enter it. It is important that companies which are in the starting hole to expand to a newmarket collect as much information as possible about it before establishing there to be able to succeed. / Program: Magisterutbildning i Fashion Management
