[pt] A HABITAÇÃO DO LOGOS: UM ESTUDO DE JOÃO 1,14 À LUZ DO CONCEITO VETEROTESTAMENTÁRIO DO TABERNÁCULO ISRAELITA / [en] THE DWELLING OF THE LOGOS: A STUDY OF JOHN 1.14 IN THE LIGHT OF THE OLD TESTAMENT CONCEPT OF THE ISRAELITE TABERNACLE

FABIO RAMIREZ DOS SANTOS NEVES FERREIRA 05 October 2015 (has links)
[en] This dissertation deals with the study of John 1:14, specifically in the use of the verb to dwell. Textual and thematic similarities approach the text studied in the Old Testament traditions about Israelite tabernacle. The skenoô verb and variations stemmed from its root, are used by the LXX in most texts where the tabernacle is in question. Thus, it is intended for research examining the possibility of the text of John have the habitation of God in the tabernacle (eg Ex. 25.8) as the basis for the dwelling of the Logos among men. To achieve this goal, a comparative analysis of the text of John 1:14 with the statements about the tabernacle present in the Old Testament will be made.

David Lipscomb's Doctrine of the Church

Barnett, Herman L. 01 January 1956 (has links)
David Lipscomb, editor of the Gospel Advocate for almost half a century, was a man of wide influence. He was intensely devoted to the cause of Christ. In the estimation of his admirers he "had a keener and deeper insight to the meaning of the Holy Scriptures and of God's dealings with the race than any other one man in all Christendom." Though such a judgement is open to question, the man becomes a fit subject for such a study as we have attempted to make.

Three Spirituals: arranged for Solo Piano

Gärtig, Raphael 25 July 2022 (has links)
With a medium level of technical and interpretive difficulty, these arrangements of “Three Spirituals” are aimed at more advanced pianists. Lasting around 1½ to 2½ minutes each, the three movements are all fairly short and can be performed separately or – as recommended by the composer – in the order given here.:“Go Down, Moses” “Sometimes I Feel Like A Motherless Child” “Nobody Knows The Trouble I’ve Seen” / Die Arrangements der hier vorliegenden Ausgabe von „Three Spirituals“ richten sich mit ihrem in spieltechnischer Hinsicht mittleren Schwierigkeitsgrad und ihren musikalischen Anforderungen an schon etwas fortgeschrittenere Klavierspieler. Go Down, Moses” “Sometimes I Feel Like A Motherless Child” “Nobody Knows The Trouble I’ve Seen”

[pt] QUEM É O VERDADEIRO ISRAEL?: ANÁLISE DO AMBIENTE DE MT 25,31-46 À LUZ DOS TEXTOS FONTE E CONTEXTUAIS / [en] WHO IS THE TRUE ISRAEL?: ANALYSIS OF THE ENVIRONMENT IN MT 25:31-46 IN LIGHT OF SOURCE AND CONTEXTUAL TEXTS

VIVIANE PAIXAO DA GAMA 18 September 2023 (has links)
[en] The present work focused on the eschatological discourse of Matthew, specifically on Mt 25:31-46, which relates the judgment of the Son of Man, expected for the last days, to the practice of justice manifested in the works of mercy. It is understood that the historical context of the Matthean community was the post-war period of 70 AD. These catastrophic events caused a severe identity crisis among Jewish communities, which began to reorganize their lives around the centrality of the Torah due to the absence of the Temple, which had been destroyed by the Romans. This absence also led to the loss of Jewish leadership, causing various Jewish groups existing at the time to compete for that role. They saw themselves as authorized interpreters of the Torah and therefore the true Israel. Among them, a coalition was formed that was in direct conflict with the Matthean community, further aggravating the crisis it was experiencing. The Gospel of Matthew was written with the purposes of bringing order and meaning to its community, and comforting its members, deeply affected by these events. To this end, the evangelist made use of the worldview of apocalyptic eschatology, such as the judgment at the end of time by the Son of Man and the retribution of the righteous and the wicked. The objective of this study was to analyze the pericope of Mt 25:31-46 in order to understand the environment in which the Gospel was produced, as well as the response found by the evangelist regarding the post-war crisis, and the points of convergence and divergence with other Jewish groups of the same period, especially formative Judaism, with whom the Matthean community is in conflict. This analysis was conducted through the diachronic approach of the historical-critical method, and the synchronic approach of source and contextual texts.

Eunuchs in Matthew 19:12 : a study in the history behind the eunuch logion and itspossible implications / Enucker i Matteus 19:12 : en studie i historiken bakom eunuck uttalandet ochdess möjliga implikationer

Galvina, Anna January 2023 (has links)

Hur tolkar präster i Svenska kyrkan liknelserna i Markusevangeliets fjärde kapitel?

Stambro, Fredrik January 2024 (has links)
The purpose of this master's thesis is to explore how priests interpret the parables in the fourth chapter of the Gospel of Mark using a hermeneutic qualitative approach and semi-structured interviews. The aim is to shed light on a selected group of priests in their roles within the context of the Church of Sweden, where interpretation is a part of their work, primarily focusing on the parables in the fourth chapter of Mark's Gospel and how this is done in interpretation, both in encounters with individuals and in preaching. An inductive approach has influenced the study, which also permeates the qualitative method with a focus on creating understanding to gain knowledge about the nature of these various phenomena among four priests. Generalization is not possible due to the small number of informants for making overall generalizations. Nor is it what has been sought. The aim of qualitative research is to gain a deeper understanding of a phenomenon and to illuminate how individuals experience it in their context. The study aims to understand how a specifically selected group of individuals, namely priests who have worked for an extended period within the Swedish Church, interpret the parables in Gospel of Mark.

[pt] O APOCALIPSE DE JESUS, O JUDEU: EXEGESE DE MC 13,24-27 – UM ESTUDO À LUZ DA ANÀLISE RETÓRICA BÍBLICA SEMÍTICA E DA LITERATURA APOCALÍPTICA DO JUDAÍSMO DO SEGUNDO TEMPLO / [en] THE APOCALYPSE OF JESUS THE JEW: EXEGESIS OF MC 13,24-27 – A STUDY IN THE LIGHT OF SEMITIC BIBLICAL RHETORICAL ANALYSIS AND APOCALYPTIC LITERATURE OF SECOND TEMPLE JUDAISM

FILIPE GALHARDO SANT ANNA 06 August 2024 (has links)
[en] Soon after leaving the Temple grounds, in the midst of turbulent episodes of opposition, Jesusclimbs the Mount of Olives to teach his disciples what they would face, in what became knownas his Eschatological Discourse (Mk 13,5-27). A small part of this speech caught particularattention from scholars, especially due to the strongly Jewish language and its proximity toapocalyptic literature. This is the discursive extract present in Mc 13,24-27: the apocalypse ofJesus, the Jew. The text of Mc 13,24-27, although fascinating, is surrounded by a thick layer ofmethodological challenges: its authorship is permeated by historiographical problems, itscomposition has several editorial nuances, it belongs to a narrative construction full of rhetoricalparallels, in addition Furthermore, its literary form presents several elements of an absolutelyparadigmatic genre: the apocalypse. This research, therefore, presents a proposal for exegesiswithin a truly transdisciplinary path, reconciling diachronic methods, following a historicalcritical approach, and synchronic ones, particularly through the use of the Semitic BiblicalRhetorical Analysis method.
