The principle of this thesis is the characterization of social worker professional development in general as well as focusing on the asylum house. In the theoretical part there are described characteristics of the social worker professional role (the personal and professional assumptions). In addition, this section deals with professional development at the individual level and at the level of organization, training in social work practice, supervision, and in particular the possibilities of professional development asylum house staff. The practical part represents the research carried out by means of a questionnaire probe in the asylum houses in the three regions in the Czech Republic. Its purpose was to determine the current professional development asylum house staff.

The Professional Exercise of social workers in various socio-occupational spaces has been the object of multímodos studies, which enables an arsenal of research, productions and publications about the theme. In the area of health is undeniable and notorious the expressiveness of these studies, however, despite intense debates about the Interlocution Social Service with the sanitary reform and action of these professionals in health programs and projects, in relation to the professional exercise of social workers in the treatment program outside the home (PTFD) that is still incipient and shy. In this sense, the research on canvas permeates through research of the practice of professionals in the area of Social Services that operate in the PTFD having as general objective to analyze the demands and responses submitted by social workers in the everyday life of the said program ahead of the contradictions and tensions generated by the project focusing and private access to the universal right to health. Among other objectives, this study intends to characterize the profile of social workers inserted in the PTFD in municipalities of the region of health of Alagoinhas/BA; reflect on the socio-institutional determinants that impact the professional exercise of social workers; mapping the interventivas demands and actions of social workers in enabling access to health at PTFD and; check if the interventivas actions of social workers inserted in the PTFD are in line with the precepts of the laws that govern and regulate the professional exercise. In order to unravel some of the minutiae of daily life, we opted for the method of analysis historical materialism dialectic, configuring exploratory research with qualitative approach, using documentary sources of information, and oral literature, with the use of semi-structured interview techniques and systematic observation. The results obtained by the analysis of this research suggest, grosso modo, that social workers have exercised their work in the spaces of PTFD occupational health in the region of Alagoinhas, focus of the study, in concrete situations of work not conducive to compliance with the ethical conditions and techniques of professional exercise, given the precarious institutional conditions, the fragilities of employment contracts, low wages among other constraints of the dynamics of wage society in the current situation. As the demands of users these have been answered in the immediacy and emergency form presenting itself fragmented and heterogeneous, while the institutional demands have ordered new assignments, which are not always inherent in the prerogatives of professional social workers. Among the professional responses, we observed positions consistent with the laws that normatizam the profession. Also professional responses to identify possible trends reifying breeding practices of conservatism, conformatadas by intense bureaucratization in the light of pragmatism and praticismo, whose routine Social Worker finds no possibilities for critical reflection of the real in its entirety, Staying in a vision of everyday micro appearance of lived, succumbing, in many situations, a perception of the world which refracts the essence of the complexity of social life. / O Exercício Profissional dos assistentes sociais nos variados espaços sócio-ocupacionais tem sido objeto de multímodos estudos, o qual possibilita um arsenal de pesquisas, produções e publicações acerca da temática. Na área da saúde é inegável e notória a expressividade desses estudos, entretanto, apesar dos intensos debates sobre a interlocução do Serviço Social com a reforma sanitária e a atuação destes profissionais em programas e projetos da saúde, no tocante ao exercício profissional de assistentes sociais no Programa de Tratamento Fora do Domicílio (PTFD) esse ainda é incipiente e tímido. Nesse sentido, a pesquisa em tela perpassa pela investigação da prática de profissionais da área de Serviço Social que atuam no PTFD tendo como objetivo geral analisar as demandas e respostas apresentadas pelos assistentes sociais no cotidiano do referido programa frente às contradições e tensões geradas pelo projeto privatista e focalizador do acesso ao direito universal à saúde. Entre outros objetivos, este estudo propõe-se caracterizar o perfil dos assistentes sociais inseridos no PTFD nos municípios da região de saúde de Alagoinhas/BA; refletir sobre os determinantes sócio-institucionais que impactam o exercício profissional dos assistentes sociais; mapear as demandas e ações interventivas dos assistentes sociais na viabilização do acesso a saúde no PTFD e; verificar se as ações interventivas dos assistentes sociais inseridos no PTFD estão em consonância com os preceitos das legislações que orientam e regulamentam o exercício profissional. No intuito de destrinçar algumas minúcias do cotidiano, optamos pelo método de análise materialismo histórico dialético, configurando-se pesquisa de caráter exploratório com abordagem qualitativa, mediante utilização de fontes de informações documental, oral e bibliográfica, com o uso das técnicas de entrevista semi estruturada e observação sistemática. Os resultados obtidos pelas análises desta investigação apontam, grosso modo, que os assistentes sociais têm exercido seu trabalho nos espaços ocupacionais do PTFD na região de saúde de Alagoinhas, foco do estudo, em situações concretas de trabalho não favoráveis ao cumprimento das condições éticas e técnicas do exercício profissional, dadas as precárias condições institucionais, as fragilidades dos vínculos empregatícios, baixas remunerações entre outros constrangimentos da dinâmica da sociedade salarial na atual conjuntura. Quanto às demandas de usuários essas têm sido respondidas na imediaticidade e de forma emergencial apresentando-se fragmentadas e heterogêneas, enquanto as demandas institucionais têm requisitado novas atribuições, as quais nem sempre são inerentes às prerrogativas profissionais dos assistentes sociais. Entre as respostas profissionais, observamos posicionamentos condizentes com as legislações que normatizam a profissão. Identificamos também respostas profissionais com possíveis tendências a reificar práticas reprodutoras do conservadorismo, conformatadas pela intensa burocratização à luz do pragmatismo e praticismo, cuja rotina o Assistente Social não encontra possibilidades para reflexão crítica do real em sua totalidade, permanecendo numa visão do cotidiano micro da aparência do vivido, sucumbindo, em muitas situações, numa percepção de mundo que refrata a essência da complexidade da vida social. / São Cristóvão, SE

The last, fourth chapter is focused on how to help people who are threatened by domestic violence. Practical part of my dissertation is based on a qualitative research, which consists of semi- structured interviews. The aim of the empirical part is to introduced domestic violence, where the victims are men, show the concrete examples, describe the story of their life and current life situation, but also how the social workers see the probematics of domestic violence.

The three (target) respondent groups are: primary school prevention methodists, OSPOD social workers and a group of professional lecturers of primary prevention of risk behaviour. The theoretical part introduces definitions and theoretical concepts of hazardous behaviour and types methods of their prevention. In its conclusion, the theoretical part summarizes of selected primary laws. The practical part of the thesis presents a summary and an analysis of data gathered through a survey among the respondent groups.

Expériences de reconnaissance professionnelle de sept assistantes et assistant de service social français devenus travailleuses et travailleur sociaux au QuébecGérard Tétreault, Alice 01 1900 (has links)
Each year, many French professionals choose to immigrate to Québec. Among them are social service assistants wishing to pursue their careers as Social Workers in Quebec. However, several issues of recognition arise during their journey that leads them to integrating Quebec professional setting. The re-analysis of interviews conducted in the context of research project led by Pullen Sansfaçon, Brown and Graham (SSHRC 2011-2012, SSHRC 2012-2015) allows us to explore the experiences of recognition and denial of recognition experienced by seven french social workers during their professional adaptation in Quebec. The theoretical framework of recognition developed by Axel Honneth reveals that they have experiences of recognition and denial which are visible at three different level, that is emotional, legal and social. Results from the analysis highlight that to be recognized, it seems essential that those French professionals swiftly gain the right to practice, that their skills are recognized, and that they receive support and approval in their workplace. More specifically, this study stresses the importance of having the right to practice as soon as possible, the availability of training adapted to their specific needs before and during the integration into their new practice in Quebec, and being in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere in their workplace. The role of institutions around the integration of French Social Workers, such as government agencies, OTSTCFQ and practice settings are essential to put in place the conditions favoring this recognition. Overall, the participants reported they experienced more professional recognition in Quebec than in France. / Chaque année, de nombreux professionnels français choisissent d'immigrer au Québec. Parmi eux figurent des assistants de service social désirant poursuivre leur carrière comme travailleurs sociaux au Québec. Or, plusieurs enjeux de reconnaissance se posent lors de leur parcours les menant à la pratique québécoise. La réanalyse d’entretiens menés dans le cadre d’un projet de recherche dirigé par Pullen Sansfaçon, Brown et Graham (CRSH 2011-2012; CRSH 2012-2015) nous permet d’explorer les expériences de reconnaissance et de déni de reconnaissance vécues par sept travailleuses et travailleur sociaux d’origine française lors de leur adaptation professionnelle au Québec. Le cadre théorique de la reconnaissance emprunté à Axel Honneth révèle qu’il et elles ont vécu des expériences de reconnaissance et de déni de reconnaissance sur les plans affectif, juridique et social. Pour être reconnus, il semble primordial que ces professionnels français détiennent le droit de pratiquer, que leurs compétences soient reconnues et qu’ils reçoivent du soutien et de l’approbation dans leur milieu de travail. Plus précisément, ce mémoire souligne l’importance d’obtenir le droit de pratiquer le plus tôt possible, de recevoir des formations adaptées aux besoins spécifiques des travailleurs sociaux immigrants avant et pendant l’insertion dans leur nouvelle pratique québécoise et d’être dans un milieu de travail accueillant et soutenant. Le rôle des institutions gravitant autour des travailleurs sociaux d’origine française, tels que les instances gouvernementales, l’OTSTCFQ et les milieux de pratique, est primordial pour mettre en place des conditions favorisant leur reconnaissance. Globalement, les personnes interrogées rapportent vivre davantage de reconnaissance professionnelle au Québec qu’en France.

Integration of community development and statutory social work services within the developmental approachLandman, Liezel 04 October 2005 (has links)
South African welfare policies and social problems dictate social service rendering in South Africa. Social workers are involved in various service delivery interventions of which community development (macro focus) and statutory services (micro focus) are two separate specialised interventions. In social work practice there is a need for both interventions, however, there is no clear guidelines for social workers how to integrate these interventions in practice. The aim of this study was to determine how community development and statutory services as two distinctive social work interventions could be integrated in order to render effective, integrated social services within a developmental approach. A qualitative research approach was utilised for the study and data was gathered by means of four focus group interviews. Respondents for the study included social workers and clients who were involved in both statutory and community development interventions. Research findings indicated that statutory and community development interventions are guided by different processes, time frames, and models of implementation, such as the legislative framework in the case of statutory work as opposed to participatory models in community development. The study concluded that there is not only confusion with regard to the role of social workers, but also a high risk of clients loosing trust in the helping relationship when one social worker simultaneously does community work and render statutory services in the same community. The distinctive nature of statutory services and community development calls for other options for the integration of these two intervention levels. This study proposed three options for social workers and NGOs to integrate statutory services and community development. Based on the research findings and conclusions of the study, the researcher proposed guidelines for (1) the development of an integrated model and (2) a policy framework for the integration of statutory services and community development within a developmental approach and finally recommended that such a designed model and policy framework be implemented and the impact thereof on social service delivery be researched. / Dissertation (MSD (Social Development and Policy))--University of Pretoria, 2006. / Social Work / unrestricted

Esta dissertação, fundamentada na teoria social, oferece elementos para uma apreensão critica acerca da importância da reflexão sobre educação permanente do assistente social no contexto do Sistema Único da Assistência Social. A escolha teórica ocorreu em decorrência da definição do problema de pesquisa, a partir da reflexão sobre a temática, numa perspectiva histórica e contextualizada: a realidade brasileira contemporânea. Sabe-se que o conteúdo da educação permanente, bem como a materialidade das ações que compõem o universo de intervenção do assistente social, estão submersos nos diferentes condicionantes que exercem influências diretas no exercício profissional num dado momento histórico. O objetivo deste estudo pautou-se pelo mapeamento da produção acadêmica sobre a temática, privilegiando um determinado período histórico, e pela investigação da percepção que os assistentes de sociais de três municípios, considerados de pequeno, médio e grande portes, no Vale do Paraíba Paulista, têm da educação permanente e de seus reflexos na qualidade dos serviços prestados. O método empregado para conhecer o `estado do conhecimento foi o exploratório-descritivo. Esta pesquisa bibliográfica configurou-se como quanti-qualitativa. Quantitativa, em função das informações coletadas terem sido obtidas por meio de um levantamento; qualitativa porque foram realizadas análises descritivas e interpretações dos dados obtidos. Para realização da pesquisa empírica adotou-se a abordagem qualitativa, utilizando-se da história oral, na sua modalidade narrativa, e da técnica de entrevista semiestruturada, o que permitiu dar voz aos profissionais de Serviço Social, bem como possibilitou o movimento de aproximação e compreensão da percepção dos assistentes sociais acerca da educação permanente e de seus reflexos na qualidade dos serviços prestados. Os resultados apontam para dois aspectos centrais: quanto à produção do conhecimento, a educação permanente do assistente social se constitui como um grande desafio em função não somente dos poucos estudos a respeito, mas também por se caracterizar como realidade que se renova no dinamismo societário demandando vigilância e atenção; quanto aos resultados empíricos, o estudo demonstra que a condição assalariada do assistente social interfere na busca e no aproveitamento das oportunidades de educação permanente. Verificou-se, ainda, que as oportunidades de capacitação têm chegado por parte do gestor da assistência social, porém, não no sentido de levar ao aprimoramento da intervenção, a uma postura crítica e à construção de novos conhecimentos, porque se pauta prevalentemente pelo repasse de informações pontuais, aligeiradas, não continuadas e, ainda, excludentes, já que prioriza oportunidades aos profissionais do poder público em detrimento dos que atuam nas organizações sociais. Por fim, os resultados apontam igualmente para o fato de que a qualidade da educação permanente precisa ser melhorada e revisada em seus aspectos teórico-conceituais de forma a diminuir a distância entre os conhecimentos adquiridos e sua efetivação prática. / This dissertation based on Social Theory offers elements for an understanding of the importance of critical reflection on continued education of social workers in the Unified System for Social Assistance context. The choice theory has not occurred by accident or on behalf of academic preferences, but on the definition of the research problem. Reflection on the theme occurs in a historical perspective and context: contemporary Brazilian reality. It is known that the content of continuing education as well as the materiality of the stocks that comprise the universe of social intervention is submerged in the different conditions that exert direct influences on professional practice in a given historical moment. The objective of this study was based on mapping the scholarship focusing on a particular social and historical period in the investigation of the perception that social workers of three municipalities, considered of small, medium and large in Paraíba Paulista Valley, have on the continued background and their impact on the quality of services provided. The method employed to know the `state of knowledge was exploratory and descriptive. This literature search was configured as quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative, in light of information collected has been obtained through a survey, and the qualitative analyzes were performed for descriptive and interpretation of data obtained. To conduct empirical research, it was adopted a qualitative approach using oral history in the narrative mode and the technique of semi-structured interview that allowed to give voice to the Social Service professionals and allowed the movement of approach and understanding of perception of social workers about continued education and its impact on the quality of services provided. The results indicate that the production of knowledge, the education of the social worker, it constitutes a great challenge not only in terms of few scientific studies that address this issue, but also because it is characterized as a reality that is renewed dynamism in demanding corporate vigilance and attention. With respect to the empirical findings, the study shows that the condition interferes with the social worker employed in search and seize opportunities for continuing education. And yet, it was found that such training opportunities have come from the manager of social assistance, but not in the sense of leading to improvement of the intervention, a wakening critical and construction of new knowledge because it is guided predominantly in the transfer of information punctual, light weight, no continued and even exclusionary because prioritizes opportunities for professionals in government at the expense of those who work in social organizations. And finally, the results also indicate that the quality of the continuing education must be improved and reviewed in the theoretical and the conceptual aspects, in order to bridge the gap between the knowledge and the practical realization.

The diploma thesis entitled "The Benefits and limitations of the Cochem model from the point of view of an OSPOD employee" deals with families undergoing adjustment of relations on one hand and with professionals who work with such families on the other. The diploma thesis aims to thoroughly describe the Cochem model, so that the results may be as useful as possible, especially for social workers working at OSPOD, but also for other professionals, who interact with the family during the situation adjustment process. This content can also serve as an informative basis for parents of minor children, who are currently going through a separation / divorce. The purpose of the master's thesis is to find out how OSPOD social workers in selected urban areas of Prague perceive the use of the Cochem model, whether and how they work with it. The aim of the research is to be inspired by knowledge from good practice and to shed light on the bad experiences of social workers.

The master thesis deals with the topic of cooperation between low-threshold facilities for children and youth (NDZM), and the authorities of the social and legal protection of children (OSPOD). To obtain the results, one objective was set: 'To identify the forms of cooperation and non-cooperation of the low-threshold facilities for children and youth with the authorities of the social and legal protection of children.' The theoretical part consists of four chapters that describe general information about the NDZM and OSPOD, the term of at-risk youth, and the possibilities of cooperation between the two above-mentioned entities. The empirical part of the thesis presents the results of structured and semi-structured interviews with NDZM and OSPOD staff from the South Bohemian Region and the capital city of Prague. A total number of 31 workers from the South Bohemian Region (15 NZDM; 16 OSPOD) and 26 workers from Prague (13 NDZM; 13 OSPOD) participated in the interviews. For the final results, the interviews were annotated and analysed with the use of contrast and comparison techniques. The conducted research offers perspectives on cooperation and non-cooperation between the entities through the eyes of NZDM and OSPOD workers from the South Bohemia Region and the capital city of Prague.
