Dans la deuxième moitié du premier siècle, des auteurs chrétiens ont énoncé le rôle du Logos « au commencement ». Selon eux, Dieu n’a pas créé le monde dans une sublime solitude, auprès de lui se tenait le Logos identifié à Jésus-Christ. Ainsi, d’un côté, les chrétiens continuaient à confesser que Dieu est le Créateur et de l’autre, ils développaient une réflexion sur la médiation créatrice du Christ (1 Co 8,6, Col 1,15-20, Ep 2,10, He 1,1-14, Jn 1,1-18). Établis dans des cités cosmopolites, ils ont été amenés à affirmer la supériorité du Christ sur les êtres invisibles en lui attribuant le pouvoir sur le monde que seul Yahvé possédait. La question d’une remise en cause du monothéisme est alors posée. Un des éléments de réponse se trouve dans les descriptions du lien qui unit le Père et le Fils. Cette réflexion conduit à la conclusion que la création prend tout son sens dans l’union du Fils, Unique et Bien-aimé, à celui qu’il désigne comme Père ; elle se déploie au sein de cette relation d’amour et, loin de conduire à une rivalité entre le Père et le Fils, elle engage une « seule » œuvre où le Fils manifeste le Père parce qu’il est sa Parole. / In the second half of the first century, Christian authors have stated the role of the Logos "in the beginning." According to them, God did not create the world in a sublime solitude, beside him stood the Logos identified with Jesus Christ. Thus, on the one hand, Christians continued to confess that God is the Creator and the other, they developed a thought on the creative mediation of Christ (1 Cor 8.6, Col 1:15-20, Eph 2.10, Heb 1,1-14, Jn 1:1-18). Established in cosmopolitan cities, they were led to affirm the superiority of Christ over the invisible beings by giving it power over the world that Yahweh alone possessed. The question of a challenge to the monotheism is then asked. One of the answers lies in the description of the relationship between the Father and the Son. This leads to the conclusion that the creation makes sense in the union of the Son, Unique and Beloved, with whom he refers to as Father. The creation extents within this relationship of love and far from leading to a competition between the Father and the Son, it is the work of the Son where he manifests the Father because he is his creative Word.

Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado do Rio de Janeiro / Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa que buscou descrever e analisar a vivência do pai no trabalho de parto, parto e pós-parto de seu filho e discutir as repercussões advindas com essa vivência em sua vida conjugal e familiar. Foram entrevistados 24 homens-pais, aleatoriamente, dentre aqueles que estavam presentes no momento das consultas/atividades de puericultura de seus filhos, realizadas em quatro centros municipais de saúde do município do Rio de Janeiro e que participaram do processo de parturição de sua companheira. Para coleta de dados foi utilizada a entrevista semi-estruturada na qual se investigou condições sócio demográficas e aspectos relativos à sua vivência no parto. Para análise dos dados, foi utilizada a Análise Temática. Emergiram um tema (A vivência do pai no parto) e quatro subtemas: sentimentos, sensações e emoções paterna, a importância da presença paterna e as repercussões na vida do pai: conjugal e familiar. Os resultados revelaram que o parto foi para os pais um momento único com mistura de sentimentos. Outros se sentiram úteis por terem conseguido oferecer suporte emocional. Sua presença foi vista por eles mesmos como fundamental, seja por desejo da mulher, seja por decisão do casal. Mostraram ainda a existência de um novo modelo de pai, que se preocupa com o sustento de sua nova família e está à disposição para cooperar nas tarefas domésticas. Ressalta-se que a figura do pai provedor ainda se faz presente. Destaca-se a preocupação dos pais para não prejudicar a equipe e os procedimentos médicos no momento do parto. A vivência do pai no parto mudou o imaginário social da figura da mulher, mãe de seu filho, tornando-a mais corajosa, mais forte e até mais bonita aos olhos desse homem. Para outros, sua presença trouxe uma aproximação na relação conjugal, uma demonstração de que agora ele é um homem de confiança. Considera-se urgente uma reavaliação dos profissionais de saúde sobre a presença e preparação do pai durante todo o processo de nascimento. Na vida familiar, os resultados mostraram que os pais não souberam retratar como esta vivência afetou os membros, ditos por eles, como família. Principalmente aqueles que enumeraram pais, irmãos e enteados como integrantes. Nesse sentido, ressalta-se a importância de uma efetiva preparação dos pais para as transformações que uma vivência do parto repercute em todos os campos de sua vida. / This is a qualitative research which tried to describe and analyze the experience of the father present during childbirth labor, childbirth and post childbirth of his child and discuss the repercussions resulting of this experience in his conjugal and family life. There were random interviews with twenty-four fathers, among the ones present at the moment of consultation appointments/ child care of their children, occurred in four municipal health care centers in Rio de Janeiro, who attended their partners childbirth process. For data collection it was used semi-structured interviews in which were investigated social demographic conditions and aspects related to their experience in the childbirth. For data analyses, it was used thematic analyses, which gave origin to a theme (the experience of the father in the childbirth) and four sub-themes: feelings, fathers sensations and emotions, the importance of fathers presence, repercussions in the fathers life: conjugal and familiar. The results revealed that the childbirth was a unique moment with a mix of feelings. Some felt useful for offering emotional support. Their presence was seen by them as fundamental, for the wifes desire or the couples decision. It also showed a new pattern of father, who is concerned with the family sustainability and also ready to help in the domestic chores, the figure of the financially supportive father is still present. The concern of fathers in order not to disturb or interfere on the delivery team work and the medical procedures in the moment of the parturition is highlighted. The experience of the father in the childbirth has changed the social image of the mother, making her seem more courageous, stronger and even more beautiful on the eyes of the man. For others, their presence created a better conjugal atmosphere, a demonstration that he is a man of trust. It is considered urgent to reevaluate health professionals on the fathers presence and preparation during all the childbirth process. In family life, fathers could not explain how the experience affected the members of the family, mainly those who enumerated fathers, brothers and stepson as family members. In this sense, it is important to mention the relevance of an effective preparation for transformations that the experience of childbirth attending can cause in all the fields of his life.

Em meio a livros que absorviam a violência do regime militar brasileiro, Raduan Nassar surgiu com uma obra estranha, que se nutria de uma linguagem poética profundamente ressonante, do pensamento monoteísta mediterrâneo, da herança cultural árabe, da subversão pela via da sexualidade. O tempo passou, o escritor abandonou a literatura, muita coisa interessante foi dita sobre o romance, mas seus enigmas são ainda sementes lançadas em solo fértil. Lavoura arcaica é mais uma releitura da prolífica parábola do filho pródigo, presente no Evangelho de Lucas e reelaborada inúmeras vezes ao longo dos seus dois mil anos de existência. A história do jovem rebelde que decide romper os laços com a família para se lançar no mundo tem se mostrado generosa para com a imaginação de muitos autores, que se dispuseram a reescrevê-la com o filtro de suas óticas particulares. Alguns deles estão no presente trabalho: Gide, Kipling, Kafka, Rilke, Dalton Trevisan, Lúcio Cardoso e também o teólogo católico Henri Nouwen. Amongst books that absorbed the violence of Brazilian military dictatorship, Raduan Nassar came out with a strange work full of distinctive elements: a deeply resounding poetic language, thoughts inspired by Mediterranean monotheism, Arab cultural inheritance, subversive sexuality. Time has passed, the writer has abandoned literature and many interesting things have been said about the novel, but its enigmas still are seeds sown on good soil. Lavoura arcaica is another reinterpretation of the prolific parable of the prodigal son, found only in the Gospel of Luke and many times retold. The story of the rebellious young man who decides to break bonds with family to throw himself into the world has been generous to the imagination of many authors, who have rewritten it using their own particular lenses. Some of them are here: Gide, Kipling, Kafka, Rilke, Dalton Trevisan, Lúcio Cardoso e also the catholic theologian Henri Nouwen. Despite variations, the homecoming occupies a privileged spot in their narratives. After all, this is a story about the motives that causes somebody to leave and, more than that, about the reasons why he or she returns. Repentance, a new beginning, weakness, defeat, love? In spite of the many antitheses that can be found in Raduans text, we are not required to make a choice between the archaic and the modern, between staying or leaving, between the individual and the collective, between restraint and fulfilled desire. That is the point: Lavoura arcaica is not a book about the conflict between good and evil, freedom and oppression, but an overview that shows us how all those things are mixed together or, paraphrasing the character André, how things connect themselves only by disconnecting themselves

The questions outlined in this thesis dissertation were proposed in order to provide insight regarding the mechanism by which the Drosophila Son of sevenless (dSOS) protein activates Ras. Ras proteins are GTP-binding proteins which bind guanine nucleotides very tightly and cycle between the inactive GDP-bound state and the active GTP-bound state. To address the mechanism by which the dSOS proteins activates Ras, a structure-function analysis of the dSOS protein was performed using truncation and deletion mutants of dSOS. In vivo Ras activation experiments using transiently transfected cells revealed that the NH2-terminal domain of dSOS is required in order for the catalytic domain of dSOS to exhibit exchange activity in cultured mammalian cells. The COOH-terminal GRB2 (Growth Factor Receptor Binding Protein) binding domain on the otherhand was insufficient to confer Ras exchange activity to the dSOS catalytic domain. Further analysis of the NH2-terminal domain of the dSOS protein demonstrated that the function of promoting catalytic domain activity could be localized by mutational analysis to the pleckstrin (PH) and DBL (Diffuse B-cell Lymphoma) homology sequences. Fractionation studies of cells transiently transfected with various dSOS mutant proteins demonstrated that the NH2-terminus of dSOS is also necessary for membrane association. These findings suggested that the model proposing that the recruitment of SOS via the adaptor protein GRB2 to the membrane is the main mechanism by which SOS activates Ras is unlikely to be the only mechanism by which SOS can activate Ras. From our data, a model can be proposed which postulates that SOS can activate Ras as a consequence of at least two steps. One step involves the SOS/GRB2 interaction and the second step involves the NH2-terminal domain of SOS associating with unidentified cellular elements.

Ce travail de thèse s’intéresse aux représentations sonores dans la publicité audiovisuelle. Il étudie le pouvoir du son comme celui de l’image. La publicité allie l’ouïe et la vue, son impact sur le téléspectateur est un travail à part entière à travers une perception auditive bien spécifique. Dans une publicité audiovisuelle, l’audible est aussi important que le visuel, il aide inconsciemment à construire des images mentales. L’écoute peut se transformer en image à partir d’une construction fabriquée par notre imaginaire et enrichi par un continuum de représentations mentales perçues par le cerveau. Cette approche, basée sur des exemples dans lesquelles le son et l’image se réunissent, étudie la manière dont notre perception auditive est capitale dans la réception d’un produit audiovisuel. Dans cette recherche, nous avons étudié la musique, les instruments et leurs caractéristiques à émettre le son en se basant sur la musique de nos origines : la musique arabe. Nous abordons aussi la musique dans le cinéma qui nous conduit à comprendre le lien entre le son et l’image dans la publicité audiovisuelle, ils peuvent parfois s’articuler ou inversement se déconnecter. Nous nous interrogeons également sur les raisons de l’existence du produit audiovisuel à travers le temps et l’évolution des besoins de la société de consommation, depuis l’affiche publicitaire jusqu’à une composition musicale qui vise à donner une identité à l’image publicitaire. Cette thèse comprend également une partie expérimentale pour expliciter le rapport dialectique entre le son et l’image dans le spot publicitaire afin de vérifier l’hypothèse du son générateur d’images et de l’image génératrice de sons. / This thesis focuses on sound representations in audiovisual advertising. It reviews the power of sound as well as imaging. Advertising puts together sound and sight whereby the impact on the viewers is an integral part through a very specific hearing ability. In an audiovisual advert, the audible sound can be just as important as the visual effect; this helps unconsciously the creation of mental images. The listening can be transformed into an image from our imagination and enriched by a continuous flow of mental images perceived by our brain. This approach based on examples in which sound and image meet explores the manner where our audible perception is foremost in the reception of audiovisual products. In this research, we study music, instruments and their features to make sound further analyzing music of our roots, Arabic music. We touch upon music in movies that leads to understand the link between sound and image in audiovisual advertising, sometimes articulating and in reverse disconnect. We will also raise questions into the reasons of the existence of audiovisual products through time and the changes in consumers’ needs from poster advertising to musical composition that aims to an identity to an advertising image. This thesis also includes an experimental part to clarify the dialectic relationship between sound and image in a commercial spot in order to assess the assumption of sound generation and image generation of sounds.

Essa experiência é acompanhada de perto pela sua família, especialmente a mãe, vista, geralmente como alguém capaz de contribuir para a recuperação da saúde da criança. Contudo, também ela é atravessada pelo sentido de sofrimento diante do adoecimento e hospitalização do filho. Em razão disso, o presente trabalho se propõe pensar os sentimentos despertados sobre a mãe acompanhante do seu filho hospitalizado, suas estratégias de enfrentamento e o significado atribuído a sua função, nesse contexto. Esta pesquisa realizou-se na Santa Casa de Misericórdia do município de Assis-SP, no período de abril a agosto de 2006. Para a coleta dos dados, utilizamos a entrevista semi-dirigida a dez mães acompanhantes de suas crianças de até dois anos de idade e a observação na enfermaria infantil, tendo os referenciais psicanalíticos como guias para a sua efetivação. Assim, as análises estiveram guiadas pelos conceitos psicanalíticos de associação livre, transferência, contratransferência e interpretação, permitindo-nos compreender os conteúdos manifesto e latente das linguagens verbais e não-verbais de cada mãe, aproximando-nos de suas angústias. Além disso, a formação do psiquismo dessas mulheres sofre influência de contextos socioculturais a respeito da maternidade, de modo que esses aspectos também permearam as análises. Diante da... / A child hospitalization means a moment of suffering, full of fear, anguish and anxiety. This experience is closed attended by the family, especially by the mother. She is generally seen as someone capable to contribute to the child.s health recovery. However, the mother is also touched by the suffering in face of child.s sickness and hospitalization. According to this, the report suggests to think about the mother who accompanies her hospitalized child, her strategies to face the experience and the meaning of her role in this context. The search took place in Santa Casa de Misericórdia – Assis/SP. The tool used to collect data was the semi-adressed interview to a group of mothers who accompany their twoyear children and to the children nursing observation, with pshycoanalistic concernings used as guide to their accomplishment. Its construction is based on pshycoanalistic concerning, being analysis guided by the free association, transferring and interpretation concepts, allowing us to understand the discernible and hidden content of the verbal and non-verbal speech of each mother, getting close to their anguishes. Besides, these women psychic development are influenced by social and cultural contexts about motherhood, so that these aspects will also be envolved with the analysis done. Analysis demonstrate a sense of exclusive love and dedication conceded to motherhood, as well as a feminine prior condition, still revealing the mother love romantic ideal influence, built in XVIII century. In face of children hospitalization, mothers feel the responsibility to redouble those affections and care. abstract: This thesis discusses the intersection of Christian and Blues exegesis and hermeneutics in the life and lyrics of Eddie "Son" House, a Baptist and Methodist preacher and Blues singer who was born in Lyon, Mississippi. It is intended as a biographical case study that highlights and explores the complex and multifaceted relationship between Black Protestant Preaching and Blues Singing/Preaching. In doing so, it critically appropriates Religious Studies theoretical and methodological considerations, orientations, and insights--particularly those from Charles Long and Paul Ricoeur--to examine the life, artistry, ministry, and lyrics of House in light of his expressed religious orientations and dual, often conflicting roles as a Christian Minister and Blues Preacher. / Dissertation/Thesis / M.A. Religious Studies 2013
