Tillämpning av just-in-time i byggproduktion : En fallstudie inom logistik & materialhantering i byggbranschenKassabian, Shant January 2021 (has links)
All production companies strive for efficiency, which means that you want to achieve a certain quality with the least possible use of resources. The construction industry is facing an exciting future where production strives to develop in line with lean production. Purpose: The purpose of this research is to investigate how a construction company work with their material management at a construction site and to study what challenges and opportunities the company come across in the application of just-in-time deliveries. Method: This is a qualitative case study where data were collected via literature, interviews and observations. Observations were made at the construction site on three occasions to collect more data that strengthens the validity of the results. Lean production, lean construction and just-in-time is chosen as the degree project theoretical frame of reference that is compared in relation to the study's empirical data. Findings: In this study, it appears that the construction company experiences certain problems with the side contractor and that the pandemic has played its role in the production flow. The company sees opportunities with just-in-time deliveries to avoid unnecessary material handling, while it also happens that missed deliveries create unnecessary costs and that just-in-time can be risky to use if complications arise with the deliveries. Limitations: The research is limited to a medium-sized a construction company with a turnover of approximately SEK 600 million / year and is limited to material handling and just-in-time deliveries. Interviews were conducted with the site manager and two supervisors.

The present paper presents a model that combines tools such as SLP (5), Standardization of methods and Preventive Maintenance for the reduction of waste in the manufacture of non-metallic minerals. This RMI production sector (Industrial Rocks and Minerals) has a high growth potential. Around 5 to 20 million MT was produced in the 70s, 80s and 90s, and it increased between 25 and 100 million MT annually in the present millennium in Peru. The problem that is sought to attack is the high amount of material that is wasted in the production process in small and medium-sized companies in that sector. With the validation carried out on our model, results of a reduction of material waste from 135.1 tons / year to 55.6 tons / year were obtained. This meant a waste reduction of 58.8%. The implementation of 5's until the standardization stage indirectly impacted the other components. The result obtained with the design redesign model was from 46.1 tons / year to 16.32 tons / year (65%), the redesign reduces the travel distances with material, which generates less waste in transport. In addition, a reduction of 35 tons / year to 10.5 tons / year (70%) is validated with the pilot of the definition and standardization of the prior rock breakage method. Also, the preventive maintenance pilot to the cyclone dust extractor, often less stopped and valid than waste is reduced from 54 tons / year to 28.8 tons / year (46.7%). / Trabajo de investigación

On the origin and measurement of noise emission in pneumaticsWaerder, Maximilian, Murrenhoff, Hubertus January 2016 (has links)
Noise is a circumstance of ordinary life and mainly originated by continually growing dynamic and the rapid development of society. In the industrial environment there are noise-intensive parts that influence the condition of present operators negatively. Thus, measures of noise abatement have been investigated intensely by industrial companies as well as federal agencies. As a subdomain of fluid power pneumatics is especially known for characteristic noise emission by the use of air as power transmission. The transient decompression of air from pressure levels up to 8 bar and partly high flow rates nearby sonic speed cause the emergence of direct airborne noise at vent ports of pneumatic components. The following paper outlines the mechanisms that induce the emission of high sound pressure levels. In order to achieve reproducible results a test bench for varying pneumatic standard components is introduced. Based on a selection of those components results are compared to standardized measurement procedures whether fulfilling the standardizations’ requirements. In conclusion, two benefits are achieved. Firstly, standardization is derived enabling neutral comparison of standard pneumatic components’ noise emission. Secondly, the measures can be evaluated to determine the most promising way to redesign pneumatic components of lower noise emissions.

Hluboké a komplexní dohody o volném obchodu jako nástroj obchodní politiky EU / Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreements (DCFTA) as a tool of EU trade policyŽiga, Matúš January 2017 (has links)
Presented master's thesis deals with comprehensive free trade agreements (CFTA) and deep and comprehensive free trade agreements (DCFTA) concluded or proposed by the European Union. Its objective is to identify necessary conditions for initiation of (D)CFTA negotiation, determine areas covered by (D)CFTAs and contemplate an effect of (D)CFTAs on EU's position. In the first part of master's thesis, theoretical framework needed for research is introduced. The concept of soft power as defined by Joseph Nye is presented. The inductive method is applied to scrutinize comprehensive free trade agreements between the EU and Canada, Colombia, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, and Tunisia, respectively. The research proved that the EU has never started DCFTA negotiation with an authoritarian regime. However, it is not a single condition for initiation of DCFTA negotiation, and four more conditions are defined. A broad scope of (D)CFTAs beyond tariff-related issues is demonstrated. DCFTA and CFTA differ about their relation to EU acquis. Approximation in selected areas is compulsory under DCFTA. Trough CFTAs, the EU was able to uphold EU and international standards and promote fundamental rights. Consequently, the EU's soft power has been enhanced thanks to (D)CFTAs.
