The Possible House

Herbst, Elke Maria 08 1900 (has links)
The thesis begins with an introductory chapter that explains the creative process, providing quotes from well-known poets and examples from my own personal history and ideas. Some of the creative concepts discussed are different manifestations of inspiration, such as the duende and the Muses. However, the act of creating a work of art--what actually occurs when an artist works--remains undiscovered. Every poet is part of the poetic tradition, yet she also strives to supersede that very tradition. In my poetry, I try to build on and deviate from the poetic tradition, while simultaneously representing events from my cultural and personal history. Twenty-nine poems follow the introduction. The poems included in this volume represent a contemporary writing style influenced by Romanticism and Modernism, apparent in nature imagery and ambiguity.

Les Ateliers d'insertion par la pratique artistique (Adipa) : entre instrument d'insertion traditionnelle et source d'innovation sociale / Workshops of insertion by the artistic practice (Adipa) : between instrument of traditional insertion and source of social innovation

Bretagne, Valérie 14 December 2007 (has links)
The thesis relates to the intervention of artists in the workshops of social integration. A theoretical anchoring interactionnist makes it possible to show in what the traditional model of insertion is destabilized by the presence of artists. The material collected is of a qualitative nature. The questioned actors gather tribunitiens (carrying change), the ambivalents (oscillating between tradition and innovation) and of the conservatives (being opposed to the change). The first part shows in what the tribunitiens disturb the values and the standards of traditional insertion. The second part shows in what they disturb the practices and the modes of control. The third part is centered on the type of innovation proposed by the carriers of the change. While the ambivalent ones propose the development of a cultural insertion perceived like a new hopper, the tribunitiens propose the emergence of a citizen insertion. But if this last proposal opens alternatives to the statics of the system, it is also carrying a utopian form which, if it passed in a state of social practice legitimate, could reinforce the process of marginalisation of the recipients of the social assistance.

Zidén, Kalle January 2016 (has links)
Teknik

"Reading the referents". (INTER) textuality in contemporary Kenyan popular music

Nyairo, Joyce Alice Wambui 17 November 2006 (has links)
Student Number : 0302215H - PhD thesis - School of Language and Literature Studies - Faculty of Humanities / This study explores the meaning of contemporary Kenyan popular music by undertaking literary interpretations of song lyrics and musical styles. In making these interpretations, the fabric of popular song is shown to be a network of referents and associations with texts situated both within and outside of the song-texts. As polyphonic discourse, these vast range of textual and paratextual referents opens up various points of engagement between artiste, songtext and audience and in the process, the surplus meanings generated by both the poetry of the text and the referents embedded within it account for the significance of popular songs as concrete articulations that mediate the realities of modern Kenya. Through the six chapters that make up the core of the study we see the mini-dramas that are played out in the material conditions within which the songs are produced; in the iconographies that are generated by artistes' stage names and album titles; in the strategies of memory work that connect present-day realities to old cultural practices; in the soundtracks of urban spaces and in those of domesticated global cultural trends and finally, in the mediation of the antinomies surrounding the metanarrative of the nation and the realization of political transition. I conclude by suggesting that Kenyan popular music demonstrates how contemporary postcolonial texts inform one another, opening up a dialogue between texts and also between local events, experiences and knowledges. Equally important, the study defines contemporary Kenyan culture by working out the sources of the images and idioms built up in this music and accepting the complexities of postcolonial existence as a site of fluid interaction between various cultural practices and competing modernities.

Reis, Fernando Figueiredo dos Santos e 10 April 2015 (has links)
O consumo de drogas, irreflexivo, serve bem a esse sistema pois dele se ignora todo o passado e o possível futuro, exigindo apenas o prazer máximo e momentâneo / Although ancient and richly inserted in culture, drug use is still seen as a taboo in today\'s society. This work aims to understand and discuss critically the drug use characteristics in contemporary society. For this, the first chapter is studied the history of the formation of the subject and the Modern society, which in bourgeois revolutions and world wars define the rise of consumerism scenario. The second chapter made a brief survey of the history of drugs with their different inserts in the lives of men, marking its consumption is historical, and is later traced the current state of the drugs on discussion in the political and scientific fields. In the third chapter discusses about the subject consuming the drug and its subjective and psychological training and the close relationship that this training has with the social. In the fourth chapter is explored social features in the drug consumer subject is inserted and is analyzed the contradictory characteristics that make up the drug use nowadays. Widely used, the drugs are divided into categories as its legality or its purpose and is thus encourages the consumption of certain types and prohibits the consumption of others. This contradiction allows you to design on drugs, its consumption and its combat, all the aggressiveness of the death instinct generated by a system that worships the new and is overly repressive, charging the maximum performance of the subject. In this context, consumption becomes the main sponsor activity manufacturing, both for the economic part of domination, as to break ties with the past and with all the tradition that could offer some kind of support to the individual who is helpless. Drug use, unreflective, serves well to this system because it is ignored all the past and the possible future, requiring only the maximum and momentary pleasure

Le Sāmavidhānabrāhmaṇa dans la tradition sāmavédique / The Sāmavidhānabrāhmaṇa in the sāmavedic tradition

Quillet, Anne-Marie 17 December 2015 (has links)
The thesis first presents the history of the discovery of the text, the textual sources, the different editions and comments on sāmavidhānabrāhmaṇa. The succeeding part of the study presents the corpus of the sāmaveda which, to date, counts hundred sāmagrantha in the most comprehensive review possible and a presentation of each work. Then a few basic concepts are revisited in order to define in a better way the power of expression of the intuitive Word in its application sāman. The ways and means the stotra is executed, this chanted praise, is decrypted unto its specific employment in the yajña and the udgātṛ in his place. If there have been justified variations between the two sam̐hitā (ṛc, sāma), these have been taken up as regards their relevancy throughout the text, since each resultant of action is triggered by the chant of the ardent one. A review of the ethics of life, the art of life, the biosphere, the societal and economic environment of everyday life that emerge from this undatable text also allows us to capture the evolution of the Indo-Iranian culture since the proto-history in its oral tradition. In the final part of this volume is presented the textual life of the sāmavidhānabrāhmaṇa. Emphasis is specially laid on its remarkable traits. The historical, philological and epistemological studies are reconsidered from their context. The volume ends with chapter twelve which deals with open questions raised by the text. The second volume presents the Sanskrit text of the three available editions of sāmavidhānabrāhmaṇa, continuous devanāgarī text, and then transliterated in reconstructed padapāṭha mode.
