[pt] Os movimentos sociais não são um campo novo de estudo na Geografia e nas Ciências Sociais, mas atualmente, tem-se revelado uma importante área para a interpretação das mudanças sociais. Comunidades ribeirinhas, indígenas, camponeses, quilombolas e comunidades tradicionais são exemplos de grupos que buscam através de diversas formas de organização a legitimação de seus direitos promovendo assim novas estratégias e práticas de luta. Outro grupo inserido nesse contexto são as populações que se articulam contra a construção de barragens e tentam assegurar seus modos de vida. Esses movimentos se colocam em oposição a políticas de apropriação do território que o interpretam apenas como fontes de recursos e, não em sua multiplicidade de sentidos, tais como seus valores simbólicos e culturais. Nessas disputas territoriais, os movimentos sociais que se estabelecem contra barragens passam a ter no lugar e no território sés pilares, atribuindo-lhes novos significados e os relacionando à produção de identidades individuais e coletivas. Desta forma, o objetivo central do presente trabalho é analisar como se constituiu a organização e mobilização do movimento territorial que atuou contra a construção da Pequena Central Hidrelétrica Santa Rosa I obra prevista para ser instalada no Rio Preto na divisa dos municípios de Belmiro Braga e Rio das Flores, nos estados de Minas Gerais e Rio de Janeiro respectivamente. A pesquisa busca analisar em que medida as articulações feitas entre diversos agentes (Associação de Moradores, Organizações Não Governamentais, Comitês de Bacia e Ministério Público) e em diferentes escalas foram importantes para que o projeto da obra não fosse concretizado até o momento. Além do apoio bibliográfico, foram realizadas entrevistas com os agentes envolvidos assim como a análise de documentos elaborados durante o processo de licenciamento da barragem. / [en] Social movements are not a new field of study in Geography and the social sciences , but currently , it has proved an important area for the interpretation of social change. River communities, indigenous, peasants , quilombolas and traditional communities are examples of groups seeking through various forms of organization the legitimacy of their rights thus promoting new strategies and practices. Another group entered in this context are the populations that articulate against the construction of dams to try to secure their livelihoods. These movements place themselves in opposition to political appropriation of the territory who interpret only as sources, and not in multiplicity of meanings, such as their symbolic and cultural values. These territorial disputes, social movements against dams that are established shall be in place and ifs territory pillars, giving them new meanings and relating to the production of individual and collective identities . The central aim of this paper is to analyze how to set up the organization and mobilization of territorial movement that against the construction of small hydroelectric Santa Rosa I work expected to be installed in the Black River on the border of the cities of Braga and Rio Belmiro Flores , in the states of Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro respectively. The research aims to analyze to what extent the articulations between different actors (Association of Residents, Non-Governmental Organizations and Local Committees) and at different scales were important to the project not been implemented until now. In addition to the bibliographic, interviews with those involved as well as analysis of documents produced during the process of licensing the dam were performed.

[pt] O presente trabalho apresenta a trajetória de pesquisa-ação com o grupo de cipozeiros que se articulam no Movimento Interestadual de Cipozeiros e Cipozeiras - MICI, do Paraná e Santa Catarina. Apresento temas correlacionados à formação da identidade coletiva dos cipozeiros e suas formas de ação, na articulação para a defesa de seus direitos fundamentais. São enfocados então, desde o início da pesquisa em Design, ao ano de 2006, algumas premissas desta área quando relacionada às comunidades tradicionais, levando à reflexão sobre sua forma de atuação em contextos cujas problemáticas locais apresentam complexidade sui generis. Assim, são apresentados os resultados das pesquisas em Design e as estratégias de investigação sobre os conflitos locais, muito relacionados à restrição do livre acesso ao território tradicionalmente ocupado, à restrição do livre acesso aos recursos naturais - de uso histórico pelos cipozeiros, e às formas de repressão que representam a usurpação de seus direitos fundamentais, bem como a exploração do trabalho artesanal. Considero portanto que tal problemática remete ao repensar a ação em Design, em outras palavras à práxis do Design, bem como as formas de ação, articulação e formação política levam ao repensar e ao re-significar os artefatos pelos cipozeiros em sua cultura material, demonstrando seu potencial criativo através dos objetos que traduzem seu discurso, que reflete a percepção sobre seus conflitos e seus direitos. Exponho aqui as reflexões pela epistemologia de um Design sócio-educativo. / [en] The present paper presents the action-research path with the group of vine producers that get together in the Movimento Interestadual de Cipozeiros e Cipozeiras - MICI , (The Vine Producers Interstate Gathering), in Paraná and Santa Catarina. I present themes related to the collective identity formation of the vine producers and their ways of action in the articulation of the defense of their fundamental rights. Since the beginning of the research in Design, in 2006, some premises of this area are focused when related to the traditional communities, bringing to the reflection on their way of acting within contexts which local problematics present sui generis complexity. So, the results of the research in Design and the strategies of investigation on the local conflicts are presented. These local conflicts are much related to the restriction of free access to the territory traditionally occupied, to the restriction of the free access to the natural resources - of historical use of the vine producers -, and to the repression ways that represent the usurp of their fundamental rights as well as the exploitation of the handicraft. I consider, therefore, that such problematic makes us rethink the Design action, in other words, the Design praxis. Also, the ways of action, articulation and political formation make us think and re-mean the articles produced by the vine producers in their material culture, demonstrating their creative potential through the objects that translate their speech and reflect the perception on their conflicts and rights. I expose here the reflections by the epistemology of a social educative Design.

[pt] Gráfica de rua – estratégias e táticas na cultura visual de rua do Rio de Janeiro é uma investigação sobre o campo da cultura visual de rua. Neste trabalho, observamos uma pluralidade de manifestações visuais – cartazes de lambe-lambe, pixações, grafites, outdoors, banners, impressos volantes, entre outros – objetos que se inserem em um universo dos impressos e através dos quais diversos agentes procuram se fazer representar no espaço público, apropriando-se da rua como um aparato visual. Compreendemos a rua como o lugar de um conflito territorial – uma disputa que se dá no espaço e se manifesta no plano das imagens, através da manipulação, do acúmulo e da sobreposição de indícios visuais. Propomos a noção de capital visual como uma abordagem para as estratégias e táticas de visibilidade levadas adiante pelos diferentes agentes na disputa de poder de que a rua é lugar. / [en] Street Graphic - strategies and tactics on the street visual culture of Rio de Janeiro is a reflection is an investigation about the street visual culture. In this work, we observe the plurality of visual manifestations, such as grafities, billboards, banners, flyers, among others. Objects that are part of the universe of printed forms and through which different agents seek to be represented in public space, by appropriating the street as a visual apparatus. We understand the street as a place of territorial conflict - a dispute that happens in space and manifests in images, through the manipulation, accumulation and overlap of visual clues. We propose the notion of visual capital as an approach to the strategies and tactics of visibility taken forward by the various players in the power struggle that happens in the street.
